I ordered the grilled salmon with their Miso Cashew build, which came with white rice, carrots, red cabbage, cucumbers, cashews, and tahini sesame-soy. It was fresh, filling, and still felt like a pretty healthy lunch. I'm usually NOT a coleslaw/cabbage person at all, so I was fully prepared to move that part of the bowl to the side but whatever they did with the cabbage and carrots actually worked for me. It wasn't giving traditional creamy coleslaw at all. The cucumbers were probably one of my favorite parts because they were super refreshing, and the cashews gave everything a nice little crunch. The salmon was cooked well and paired really nicely with everything in the bowl. My only real complaint was the ordering experience. This was my first time here and I was genuinely confused about how the menu worked, so I asked one of the employees for help. Unfortunately, they seemed almost as confused by my question as I was by the menu . I would've appreciated someone taking 30 seconds to explain the whole "choose your protein, then choose your build" setup because once you understand it, it's actually pretty simple. I stopped by for dinner here about a month ago while on a business trip. I was there during their golden hour, 4-6PM. The restaurant is clean and decorated with bright nautical decor. It wasn't very busy at all since I was there between the more traditional lunch and dinner hours and on a Tuesday. I was the only one dining in at the time . Ordering is super easy, you mark off everything you want on a laminated ordering card and hand it to the cashier. The service was wonderful. The staff were very friendly but also gave me my space to dine comfortably as a solo diner. Food was so good, fresh, filling but healthy. They also have all kinds of sauces other than your traditional tartar and cocktail sauces that were all a match for any taste preference and paired perfectly with the fish. Not that the fish or any of the food needed anything to make it better. It was already very good on its own. The golden hour specials were a welcomed surprise given how expensive everything is everywhere these days, especially seafood. My food was like $7 off, I had a dinner plate that's regularly $22 that is only $15 during golden hour and I had a glass of wine for only $5. As I ate I noticed many people dropped in to pick up their preorders. They seem to have a very efficient "order ahead" system. I would love to eat here again and wish there was one where I live. We wrote down our orders on the whiteboards given but then when we went to the counter we said our orders anyway so not sure what the point was. However, we really did not enjoy the lobster roll. It felt torn between trying to be a Maine style (more mayo) and Connecticut (more butter), and was way too much bread.
