Teriyaki chicken with southwest salad and red skin mashed potatoes.

Food was delicious and staff was friendly. They helped with recommendations and did great. I had the teriyaki chicken with a southwest salad. It was so good. Several people there for lunch. There's seating outside and indoors.

Walked in during lunch rush and only waited 5 min for my to go order. Decent speedy meal and will definitely eat here again.

This is a lunch favorite restaurant for me, my husband, and friends .... Food is always fresh and delicious... Service is fantastic... Would have gotten a 5 star, but the atmosphere is not great... It's a small place that stays very busy, so it's too crowded at times... It's a claustrophobic feeling while you eat sometimes bc you're in such close proximity to others... Brown Bag is so popular, it would be nice if they would move to a more spacious location... Parking and where to sit are sometimes an issue... So, lots of people call in to go orders and eat their menu selections elsewhere.

Great place for a quick lunch with healthy options. I had the grilled fish tacos, and they were fresh and prepared quickly. The side of grilled asparagus was prepared well; I chose the jalapeño corn as my second side and while it had a nice flavor (a little heat, but not too spicy) the consistency left a little to be desired. It was a little gelatinous and would pick a different side next time. I'd definitely come back to try out other entrees as this seems like a nice place to get something other than the standard heavy fast food fare. I ordered in person and my wait for the tacos and two sides was only about 8-10 min (around 1:30 pm).

Catering perfection! They were so kind to donate food for a counseling center for Covenant families. Everyone was raving about how delicious the food was!

Meal was mediocre and overpriced. Better vegetarian options and/or better serving size is needed. Gluten free options are marked on the menu, but still a lackluster variety Told the cashier I had a gluten allergy and was assured that the items I order were gluten free/could be modified but I found a crouton in my salad that was not supposed to be there. If you are vegetarian or have gluten or any food allergies this is not the spot.

We had a really good experience here for the first time. It was crowded as it is a popular place to both grab lunch but also pick up your larger catering orders, so make sure to leave some time for waiting on a table to open up at lunch time. The portions were substantial for lunch. My husband got the fish tacos with two sides and I got the grilled chicken with two sides. It was a nice break from chain restaurants and over-priced signature lunch establishments in the area. It was also affordable considering how expensive it can be to eat in Franklin. Overall a great experience with fresh food and good atmosphere.

This was the best steak sandwich I ever had. It's hard to get here for the average working person because they are closed on weekends and they close 2:00 PM on weekdays. The food was amazing and seasoned to perfection.

Simple, well made food. Many gluten free options, and everything really is VERY good. Under $10, with a small but varied menu.

We started off with the Mini Donuts with dipping sauces, and they were a huge hit! Unfortunately, I was off my game and forgot to take pictures of some of the appetizers before they disappeared. We also ordered the Spinach Dip with chips, and a definite must have, the Deviled Eggs with Candy Bacon. Wow... those were sooo good! For the entrees, I went with the Eggs Benedict with home fries, and it was perfection. Others at the table ordered the Chicken Fingers and Fries, great comfort food with amazing flavor. The fries are the thin-cut style, which makes them extra good. The granddaughters split a hamburger and absolutely loved it. The service is always great here, but this visit had a special touch. The granddaughters wanted a carrot to feed to their stuffed bunny, and the waitress actually brought one out for them! Little things like that make a big impression. Overall, a great brunch, great service, and a great experience. We'll definitely be back!

Loud from the crowd, but still fine for conversation, and the tables/booths were spread enough to provide decent privacy. Made a note that the bar looked very attractive and appealing. Limited draft selection, though the by the glass wine was about the best list I've ever seen in a restaurant, and quite reasonable on pricing. Food comes out fast. Wait people are efficient and helpful. Started with a split salad. We ordered the Little Gem but actually received the Caesar. Not a big deal, though it was badly over dressed, so whatever salad we order (or whatever we're served) in the future, it'll be dressing on the side. After having a tough time deciding what to order on our first visit, I went with the tuna. The tuna slices were nicely rare though the dish was very bland. A pop of pickled ginger on the side, but some wasabi, or even a hit of salt, would have helped a lot, and the dipping sauce was off and bland, could have really used some more soy sauce. Wife got the crab cakes. The cakes were really nice jumbo lumps, very good quality, and the shoestring fries delightful (though I might order them well done next time for a bit of extra crunch). We'll be back and will enjoy exploring the menu further. There's clearly 5 star potential here, we just need to learn the best dishes to order.

We were greeted right away by the owner and seated in a comfortable booth in the back. The space offers a nice mix of tables, booths, and bar seating. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the start. After we ordered, she brought out a basket of biscuits, three for the two of us, which was a bit curious, but no complaints here. The second basket came soon after the first. They were light, slightly sweet, and really good. For my entrée, I went with the Louisiana Bayou Shrimp with Crawfish with a side of corn. Wow, great flavor with just the right amount of kick, and they didn't skimp on the shrimp or crawfish. Portion size was spot on. My wife kept it a bit more traditional with the Southern Fried Chicken Salad, which was fresh and very well done. Safe to say, we won't wait another 30 years to come back. I've already got my eye on the blueberry cobbler next time. If you live in Franklin, don't make the same mistake we did, give this place a try sooner rather than later. Cheers!

I recently gave my team the option of where they wanted to have lunch and J. Alexander's was the winning choice by far, so off we went on a Wednesday afternoon. This location is fairly large, well laid out, well kept and clean. The atmosphere, menu, vibes and service are elevated, but not pretentious. We had a reservation and were sat fairly quickly. From there, our server was quick to swing by and get us started with drinks and appetizers. We ordered a few appetizers including the Hong Kong Shrimp and a Spinach/Queso dip. Both were delightful and great starts to our meal. The pork chops were top priority for a few of my team, so a few went with the pork chops, another the burger and I went with the steak frites. None of us regretted our choices! Sadly between the appetizers and mains, we were a bit full to have dessert, but the menu sounded great. Service was friendly and helpful, but she was a bit tough to track down when we needed something. Did not detract from the meal, but was noticeable on at least two occasions. Overall, J. Alexander's is a good spot in a good location, and I will certainly be back at some point.
