I was personally asked to fill a secretarial position by Penelope's Catering through a friend of…read morethe owner. The owner of Penelope's Catering is a known micromanager and posted the job opening on Indeed stating she required assistance in handling inbound and outbound calls; essentially a receptionist with some added ordering responsibilities. I attended one interview with the company, and was asked by the owner to call her personally to schedule a second interview. While the first interview was unprofessional (joking about being "a difficult person to get along with"), I was ghosted for two weeks before receiving a callback, where I was informed the company "was not hiring at the moment." The job posting remains available on Indeed. Extremely unprofessional, and the owner considers rudeness and micromanagement to be good business etiquette. I would not recommend this company.

My daughter had the Fruit & Waffle which I tasted also yummy. The chef Ms. Lakendra was sweet and her food was amazing! Do yourself a solid and go for brunch. You won't be disappointed.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Bacon and Caviar -- they are simply the best! I've used…read morethem a handful of times for work events, and they always deliver. Yesterday was no exception. I worked with Paul going back and forth on options how to do a safe catered work function now with COVID. He worked with me and did individual boxes of snacks/horderves. Meat boxes along with vegetarian and gluten free boxes. People raved! The hot chicken sliders were a crowd favorite, but my favorite were the vegetarian boxes (and I'm not even a vegetarian). Caprese sandwich, tortellini skewers, cauliflower hummus with roasted veggies and chocolate truffles. SO GOOD! The truffles melted a bit in the heat but that's the weathers fault. They arrive on time or early always to set up. They are professional. They are kind and friendly. If you have any sort of event which you need catered I highly encourage you to look into speaking with Bacon and Caviar -- they know what they're doing and they do it well!

I planned my first event with my new company this past weekend and thanks to Jeff and Chef's Table…read moreCatering, it was a hit! From the beginning, Jeff was extremely responsive and worked with me to meet some specific needs for this event. I mentioned multiple dietary restrictions, the need for dinnerware/glassware, and my hope to have an attendant to help serve/clean up. Jeff went above and beyond to meet all of those needs. He and his team member arrived two hours early to prep and set up a grazing table that we enjoyed while he prepared the main course. He then served the main course and dessert, all while cleaning up after us. The food was all amazing, but what impressed me the most was his attention and care for the small details - he brought ice and non-alcoholic drinks when he didn't have to, he brought to-go boxes so I was able to send food home with guests, just to name a few. Finally, the Monday after the party, he drove all the way back to the party location in Nashville to pick up glasses since some were still in use when he was packing up to leave. I had many guests ask me for his contact information because they loved the food. Do yourself a favor and hire Jeff/Chef's Table. He will be a hit with your guests and make your life easier.

It's not particularly hard to find, it's behind Coco's Italian Kitchen which means you have to go down an alley if you want to reach it, or up a couple of blocks and circle back. Make sure you know where you're ending up or you'll loop around a couple of times. At the event, pizza was made, taken to a different place, baked, and brought back. I felt a little pang of emotion seeing what the kids had turned perfectly good dough into. The night went off without a hitch, although the little sisters of the girl scouts rose up and invaded the offices multiple times and I had to remove them. People were nice about the underage militia invasion. The only thing I kind of wished they had was concrete barriers to prevent four year olds from escaping, but you know, that's not something I really expect an event location to have. If you're looking for an event location you didn't know existed, check it out.
