I've gone here several times and have kind of pegged it as my place to go. Honestly, I think I've seen someone different each time, but they all do a fine job. The girl today was particularly good. I have oddly shaped eyebrows and she managed to tame the thicker area on my right eyebrow without me having to point it out to her. It seems like their prices went up, I thought they were only like $8 for eyebrows but it was $10 today. Still fine for me. I would rate the pain of threading and waxing to be similar, but waxing makes me break out and threading doesn't - that's why I choose it! i have had the same eye brow threadest for 7 years....then i moved to dallas. My armenian threadest had fast light hands and made my brows amazing! when i fly home to visit my family, she is the first person i see. I wish she could train my husband her technique! I have gone twice to styles of india and both have been disappointing! Perhaps indian threading is different, because armenian threading is fast and smooth. Indian is slow , choppy and painful. The girl who did mine the second visit was so sweet...then i looked in the mirror at home and saw a little cut from the thread and some stray hairs! this procedure should only take 5 minutes to perfection! I am wayyyyy picky about my eyebrows. And Bima is wayyy fabulous with my eyebrows. And for the price (especially after the student discount, but they're well-priced even without it), totally worth it. I've never had a wait (I usually go by on weekday mornings, and their hours are convenient). When you walk in, you check in at a touch-screen kiosk by the door and can request a particular stylist that way if you wish. And now I'm going to sound a little bit crazy: one of my eyebrows is more arched, and the other is more rounded. My favorite is the arched one (sorry, Rightie), and when I get them cleaned up, they don't quite match up because of my (sigh) deformity. BUT, if I point it out to Bima, she knows exactly what I'm talking about and fixes me right up. None of the undercompensating/overcompensating business I've had with other stylists. I've had her do my eyebrows three times now, and I have loved the results every time. The only thing: while I've read/heard that threading is painless, more comfortable than waxing, blah blah blah, I feel like I have to be some freak exception to the rule because it HURTSlikeamother. Days after, my brows are still tender when I wash my face/touch them, but at least there isn't any noticeable swelling/redness. Plus, I haven't quite mastered holding my eyelids taut without crushing my eyeball (this is during the threading). Even worse is getting my upper lip threaded: one of the more painful experiences of my life. The tears, they flow. But pain is beauty, and I am super-thrilled to have found such a fabulously-priced place for such fabulous brows. I can't even consider docking a star. read more

Well, I finally scheduled an appointment with Ms. Atula about a month ago using their easy online site (just do this, I swear it's convenient because you'll know when each specialist is available). Yesterday, I dropped by for a touch up as a lucky walk-in as she had just finished with a client and could squeeze me in before her appointment with another in 25 minutes. She did the liberty of filling my brows with their brand of eyebrow powder (this stuff is bae and could double as eyeliner if wetted. They sell this is several shades and will suggest the best shade to match for a natural look). I have only seen Atula and plan many more scheduled appointments with her as she will talk to you during the initial visit to ask what you're wanting. I'm not going anywhere else! read more

I've gone here a couple of times, and it'll be my go to threading spot for sure. I recently moved to Dallas and I've been on a search for my new threading salon. I am VERY particular about my brows, so this isn't an easy process for me (failed brow attempts make me sad *tear*). I live in Uptown and have tried different salons in that area - no bueno. Not horrible experiences, but can't really shape very well and they're over priced (here's to you Wink!). Check in is a breeze on the computer. They seem to be properly staffed to prevent long waits (I've never had to wait). $10 is just right. Location is very convenient. Also, I dont know if their string is scented... or if the sanitizer they use on their hands is scented... but whatever it is, the aroma is very pleasant... a nice touch. I know some have commented on them being "standoffish" and not friendly enough... but you're in and out in 10 minutes, and 8 minutes of that they're standing over your face with string dangling from their mouths... not sure how conversational it can get...just sayin'. read more

My eyebrows were getting a bit thick, so I decided to get them threaded. Being a guy I like the width of my eyebrows to still be the same size, while the tails and arches to have slight definition to them. The nice lady who threaded my eyebrows went ahead and cleaned them up and made them look great! I didn't even have to tell her what exactly I was looking for and she made them look picture perfect. The shop is nice and clean, and the staff is professional and friendly - but not too friendly. I don't want to have a full blown convo - I just want you to be friendly, yet get me in and out. I find that with some girls, it's a bit more painful than others, but for the most part, I'm satisfied with the results. This Brow Pros location is (or, was) my go to. But the past couple of times I have been there, the service has not been good. Unfortunately, I don't know who I was serviced by. The second to last time I went, my eyebrows were done unevenly, one thinner than the other. However, I told the lady "it's okay, they're sisters, not twins." Unfortunately the latest time I went was not forgivable. After the lady finished them, I was shown my brows and on top of them being uneven there was a huge gap missing from my right brow. I responded letting the lady know there's a gap missing. And she tells me that she should have shown me my brows before, that there was never any hair there. I know my brows, and I know that there was most definitely hair there where a bald spot now was. I don't appreciate being gaslit at an establishment. If the lady would have simply taken accountability for the mistake, I would have been more than understanding. However, there was no apology, no remorse, no customer service given to me whatsoever. The lady who did my brows shaped it but didn't clean anything below it or above it. I went home and saw a lot of lighter hairs not removed and have to pluck it myself. It was the same with my upper lip, I saw so many hairs that she missed. Not only that, but she did my service in under 5 minutes. It felt so rushed and though I want it fast I also want it to be efficient. I shouldn't have to go home and do more work on my brows and upper lip. I do not recommend this place. read more

I have come to SOI for my eyebrow threading for years. I don't have a favorite, all of the ladies who have done my eyebrows were very nice, quick and make it as painless as possible. I'm also a very light skinned and pale blonde, so they try to sell me on eyebrow tinting every time. Tried it once but never again, it's just too dark for my skin tone and hair. My new brow place !!! I had only had my brows threaded once when I was 12, so it had been a while before then. I felt terrible cause I really have extremely big brow hairs and my tech did amazing on them and really cleaned them up fantastically! I kept apologizing because my brow hairs are just so thick ha! Nonetheless my tech did an amazing job! Every time I do my brows in my makeup routine now they just look so good. At the end of my session, my tech offered me aloe Vera which was so soothing after the threading . Plus , they play relaxing, Indian instrumental, style type music. I just was so relaxed! The first time I went here I booked with Atula because of all the good reviews I read on here. Don't get me wrong my eyebrows looked decent and she was nice as well, however, she was very rough. I understand that threading can be a bit uncomfortable but this was downright painful. She was jerking the hairs so hard. My eyebrows were sore for hours afterwards and a few days later I noticed that I had scabs. She had actually broken the skin while threading my eyebrows. I gave the place a second chance but this time I booked with Maya. She was quick, wasn't painful, and my eyebrows turned out perfectly. read more

SOI is always fast and friendly enough. Maya has soft hands and that lessens the pain. I have very watery tear ducts and my eyes only water a little. Maya is always fast and efficient. The only negative is the lack of greeting or thank you during the payment process. The staff is nice enough but don't expect a conversation while you wait for an open chair. read more
