The terrible job she did. I explained they're not what I asked for and she said nothing was wrong. No apology either.

I've been here a few times before and usually have no problem with the service. However, my last visit here absolutely sucked in all departments. When I first sat in the chair I explained to the lady doing my eyebrows clearly that I do not want them thin, just a clean up. Of course she disregards that and does them thin AND uneven. While she was threading my eyebrows she was breathing extremely heavily over me, which was really uncomfortable. Almost as if she was just getting over a cold. On top of that her breath wasn't very pleasant. :/ If you are going to be providing a personal service like this, you as the provider should be aware of things like this! I explained to her after that she took off too much and she didn't listen and all she did was nod. I felt as if she didn't understand one thing I said. I took the mirror and traced my finger over my jacked up brows and showed her again. All she did was offer to fill them which I agreed to and she did a horrible job doing that - had me looking like a straight clown. I asked her to remove it and requested to just pay and go. The whole time she knew I was upset and never even apologized! I spoke with a manager and explained how dissatisfied I was, and she said there is nothing wrong with my eyebrows and nothing she can do. I will never come back to place!

Came out looking like a clown and a corner of my eyebrow missing

It's unfortunate this isn't the best threading salon out there because they are very friendly but I've given this salon too many opportunities to make up for the previous visits. This was my fourth visit and every time I get my eyebrows threaded, they keep making them thinner and thinner even though I ask them to keep them thick. My eyebrows are so uneven now and today's visit just completely put me over the edge with this salon. The stylist threaded off a corner of my eyebrow -_- And then proceeded to color them in without asking me. It wasn't even the right shade! And she tried getting me to buy the make up too! I was so embarrassed when I walked out of there today. I'm officially over this place.

The receptionist is so nice and helpful when making appointments. I went to Abby for waxing and she is skilled and knows what she is doing so I know I can rely on her. She was booked when I needed to go once so I made an appointment with someone else. She turned out to be very new and still learning. It was a painful experience but she called in Abby to help and the whole experience turned around. I personally didn't mind it but you may want to ask how skilled your person is before booking. Parking - available in front of the boutique but make sure you reverse your car/follow the signs to avoid a ticket.

I get lash lifts and tints, and she knows how to make my natural lash curl beautifully without it looking like too much. I have naturally long lashes but they don't curl at all, and when I wear mascara they hit my glasses and get them dirty! But with a lift I get a natural curl and don't have to worry about it. The tint makes it so I barely touch mascara now! If you're debating a lash service go see her - it's worth it!

I had my eyebrows micro bladed by Preet. This salon is…read moreclean and they make you feel comfortable during the process. They called the day before the appointment to make sure you knew not to take any type of blood thinners and proper cleaning of your face prior to your service. During the service you discuss shape and color of the brows you desire. Preet is very good on matching color. Threading of brows is completed prior to your service to assure your brows are lined up perfectly. It is scary at first. Because you feel like you lost some of your eyebrows but this is part of the process. Trust the process and it will be fine. The actual microblading is not a painless process. But I promise the pain you endure for the outline of the shape of the eyebrow is worth the discomfort. You can take small breaks, use squeeze balls and take a drink of water to stay relaxed. (I would suggest wearing headphones with relaxing music to help stay relaxed). The next process of filling in the brow outline is still micro blade process but a numbing cream is on before this process starts so the pain is dulled. This entire visit is an hour to hour and a half. Preet will give you care instructions. Follow her instructions to keep you from getting any infection. Remember these are small blade cuts on your eyebrows. No sweat or dirt should enter this area. Preet will explain the use of distilled water and cotton balls to clean area ...only dab wet cottonball... no scrubbing. Then apply Aquaphor 3 times a day by using a q tip. Never use your finger. Again keep germs away from eyebrows. At first you will be shocked at your huge eyebrows. Dark and huge. I made many jokes about myself and wore a baseball hat for two to three days. After 5 to 7 days you will start to really love what you see. It's amazing the work Preet does. At 6 weeks you will go back for a touch up. Fill in spots you notice need more. You can make them darker at that time if needed as well. Follow same after care instructions. Annually you will go in for a touch up. Enjoy your gorgeous brows! You will not regret this service with Preet. You may then start considering eye lash extentions next with Preet...I am. When I do, look out for my review!

This, sadly, happens to most women,…read moreespecially if you plucked the living hell out of them in the 90s in a sad attempt to stay fashionable. I was considering my options because drawing them in daily is a pain. Especially when you can't see without readers. I scheduled a consultation with Preet to discuss microblading and other more permanent options, and added on a tinting session to walk out with something tangible. I had to go to the Tosa location to see her, which was a hike. She mentioned that she might start adding hours on the East side, which would be great, as she is the only one who performs the advanced services. The shop is pretty spare, but Preet explained all the safety techniques she uses to ensure a hygienic experience. She was friendly, thorough and unrushed. We talked procedures, colors, etc. I may pull the trigger eventually, but this is not a cheap service. I did get a tint done and my first threading. It went well. She didn't have the color I wanted for the "permanent" eyebrows, but I did walk out with more definition, a pleasing shape and a good overall feeling.

The building is not impressive but I don't go to the salon for that so it doesn't bother me. The inside is well maintained and clean. I was gifted with a certificate and was happily surprised to find an Aveda salon right here in Wauwatosa! I wanted a massage, but they no longer offer them. So, I opted for a new service I've never had before - a facial! I made an appointment for a 90-minute Dual Exfoliation Peel and was paired with Lisa, who is absolutely incredible. Lisa walked me through every step of the process as I was a newbie. Starting with changing into a sarong, slipped, and comfy robe, we did a foot soak and light foot/leg massage. Then back to the private room where I laid on the table. The lights were turned down to a calming level which was nice. The one really off-putting thing in this otherwise calming room was the ceiling - there were HUGE brown water stains on the ceiling tiles that were absolutely disgusting. It's not hard to replace a few tiles, so that surprised me. Luckily my eyes were closed most of the time. Also the music wasn't particularly relaxing with drum beats and chanting sometimes. She started with a "sensory journey" where I got to choose an oil scent I found pleasing out of three. Then she exfoliated my whole face with a nice scrub, really focusing on getting the dead skin layer off and not just "petting" my face with the product. Between each mask I got a hot towel, which was heavenly being wiped on my neck and face. We did a chemical peel (not like you're picturing, remember Aveda is all natural and vegan!) where the cooling part was first, and the second was a nice warming sensation. The facial even including a light neck massage and she did a wonderful job on my arms and hands. The results were shocking - I did look smooth and refreshed, and learned more about proper skincare routines for my skin. I 100% absolutely recommend this salon, this service, and I want to be friends with Lisa - she was so friendly and great! The price tag was very high for regular treatments ($150 for the 90 minute treatment) so I don't know when I'd be able to afford to come back - but they did a wonderful job. They also have a full Aveda shop in the front to stock up on your products, really nice to not have to go into Mayfair or to pay shipping. ProTip - if you're a first timer mention the $20 discount on the website!
