I made an appt to remove gel polish, get a regular manicure and a paraffin treatment to alleviate…read morethe drying caused by gel color removal. The appointment was March 18 2026 w Abby, who is an epic artist w polish application. She, unfortunately was on a long vacation when I went in a week ago concerned about the condition my nails were in as a result of the gel removal. I understand that everyone responds differently to any chemical treatment so I have no issue with Abby at all. However, my nails and clear polish applied after the paraffin started bubbling the same afternoon. I gave the benefit of the doubt thinking that it's something I can handle w an emery board and moisturizer. Nope nope nope. 3 weeks later my nails were shredding as soon as they breached the nail bed- they are weak, splitting painfully into the nail bed, keep shredding and need constant filing, clipping, etc. when I went in to ask how I could fix the issue, I was passed around to 3 people- none of whom were nail techs. They refunded $19-a random amount and not close to half of the cost. I was told by Madison in management that this is normal - and to use a product called Nail Envy. A week later, 34 days after the original appointment, my nails are still shredding and splitting. It is like acid was applied. The result is that I will not be able to get a manicure until the nails completely grow out - MONTHS from now. I know if Abby would have been present, she would have had better advice and would have repaired the nails to the best of her ability. Result - I spent $ for a manicure w paraffin so didn't cut corners, and will have hideous painful nails until they grow out. I'm upset that a nail tech wasn't available to advise, I was told I'd be called in a couple of days to see how things were and to get an informed answer, which didn't happen. I bought the Nail Envy strengthener and their cuticle oil as recommended by Grok(!). $36. I have had nothing but great experiences w Impressions until this debacle. I don't know what to do - management is inadequate for problem solving.

I had a photo and video of the color I desired (which is just a toned down version of what I had). The dimensions were already in my hair from the balayage and my natural color. The girl tried to talk me into low lights which I was confused about. I asked to just tone it. Well, she did and my hair was almost black! I was so surprised and shocked. When I called the next day to speak with a manager she offered no help. And then told me to call her back next week! I'm sorry as a business owner I would call a client to check on them if they weren't satisfied and I would NOT tell them it was their problem. So typical of an average salon to take their mistake and tell me it's my problem.

I wanted to start off with stating the fact that the stylist I had was just simply amazing. She was…read morekind, compassionate, listen to what I wanted and did a great job with my root touch up and bang trim. Really my only issue is that I was not draped properly for my color service. I had just purchased a new white shirt with mini/low mock turtle neck. A towel was never placed around my neck/shoulders. When I got home, I realized the back/top of the collar of my shirt had gotten permanent hair color all over it. This was a huge disappointment. It was literally my first day wearing it and I really just loved it but it's pretty ruined at this point unless I wear my hair down, which I dont a lot. I understand my shirt of choice for this color service could have been different, but I also know there are things that can be done as stylists to minimize accidents like this. My only other quick take away was that I was hoping to liven up the highlights that I had that were dull/lacking luster and had faded quite a bit. I was hoping to feeling the tone of them but I didn't really notice a difference in color. But my hair was shiny and my stylist did an AMAZING job with my blow out and making me feel really beautiful when I left. Again, I was just so disappointed about the fact that my new shirt was ruined and the glaze to tone down/deepen the color wasn't really as noticeable as I had hoped.. but overall, I love this salon. The staff is incredible friendly and kind and I have no doubt that this was just a one off experience. I hate to leave negative feedback but want to compliment my stylists bedside manner, kindness and her over skill set which was clearly great.

I've been a client for about 3 years now, and I have never had a better massage. I have been to places like Elements, Massage Envy, and Neroli, but nothing compares. Her studio space is very quiet and tranquil, and she sets the perfect environment with soothing music and candles. Although it's about a 30 minute drive for me to see her, it's so worth it. I've gifted my mom and mother-in-law with massages with Carrie and always give my friends her name. She's just amazing!!

I originally was going to give 3 stars based on my experience, but I truly think my experience over…read morethe weekend was not an everyday occurrence. I decided to take advantage while I was on vacation and sans kids to pamper myself. Pros: * Came in on the weekend for a pedicure and was seated at a chair within 5 minutes. * They have excellent polish brands - Essie (my favorite), OPI, China Glaze - and a decent variety of colors. * After seeing my neighbor's nail color and having color envy, I asked if I could switch my colors (before polish was put on), and he did let me know there was a $2 up-charge for the gel. Other salons I've been to in the past hadn't done this. * I noticed that the techs were taking their time and not rushing. My tech did an excellent job of waiting a bit between color coats, which many places do not take the time to do. * I received an excellent foot/leg massage that felt amazing!!!! ... (but see "cons" below) Cons: * I was never asked which pedicure I wanted, by the receptionist or the tech. I was given the most basic, which is unfortunate since I wanted the deluxe one. * The tech began filing my nails, and I asked him if he could clip my nails first. I don't think he understood me, because he came back with more files. Eventually we were on the same page, except he only clipped 5 of my nails. When I asked him to clip all the nails, he did - but he clipped them down to the nubs except on the edges where they were sharp (and I didn't notice until I got home and had to clip them myself). They were clipped so short that it hurt when he filed my nails and it's now quite tender. * Due to the short clipping of my toenails, there was quite a bit of color/polish on my skin, as well as around my cuticles. He did not clean up around the nails, as I saw other techs doing. * The heavenly foot/leg massage was about 3-4 minutes on my right foot, and less than 1 minute on my left foot. My left foot feels gypped. ;) Overall, I had a decent experience. I love that there's a nail place in Cedarburg that I can come to while I'm on vacation and escape for a little while that doesn't kill my budget. I will definitely be back, and I truly think my experience from the weekend isn't the norm for this business.
