First experience with threading versus waxing my eyebrow. Went with my friend. I have very sensitive skin so the threading experience was a bit painful. My friend loves to get brow threaded and will be back to this particular Brow Art 23 store. The girl did a fantastic job. The staff here are friendly and helpful. Im furious!!!! If I could give them no stars I would. I just left this place, the lady cut up my skin so bad I almost started crying, my eyebrows look the same because when she was done cutting my skin I look in the mirror and the hairs were still there, I left. I paid them to have to go home and pluck them myself which will hurt more than usual since I can count about 5 cuts on just one brow. Don't go here unless you want to cry! read more

If you've never had threading done before it can be somewhat painful, and that's just part of what threading is. But I love threading because when I do waxing it really makes my skin break out. Threading does not cause any breakouts whatsoever. I love Brow Art. I always come here to get my eyebrows done and they look absolutely perfect every single time. Threaded my sister's and my eyebrows in under 2 minutes. Speedy because they don't take the time to actually thread them correctly. When I went home I looked closer in the mirror and saw a bunch of hairs were missed. This place needs better lighting or more talented staff. read more

However the lady that threaded my eyebrows here must be magical, because it did not hurt as bad. :) This is actually a store not a little kiosk in the middle of the mall. Located by Dillard's. Do not let them touch your brows! I'm from LAS VEGAS where eyebrow threading is popular and has been for the last 5years @ 10$ a pop for eyebrow perfection. I moved to CLT near NL and decided to try NL MALL. Called and called no answer so I dropped in. The lady was on the phone! "Well wudayakno?" I had to guide her through my threading and over and over again had to go back and SIT DOWN TO have her clean them up. There was stubble everywhere! When I left I was not satisfied my browns were uneven, not clean AT ALL. They are not reasonable, unskilled and unprofessional. Anyone who is going here apparently hasn't had their eyebrows threaded to PERFECTION 10000's of times as I have. Don't waste your time or your cash $$$. read more

My right eyebrows usually grows down and my left grows straight so usually other people would keep both arches but the person who did my brows cut my right arch making it look bald. I told her what she did but she kept saying it was straight and if I want to grow it back to just use coconut oil. Won't go back read more

WORST customer service I've ever experienced. The lady argued with me about the thickness of my eyebrows. After me telling her the shape I'd like she basically took off my entire brow and told me "oh well". I have several cuts above my eyes from her not threading properly which have left scars. Not to mention the extremely bad body odor that she had reaching over my face. She told me I was wrong for asking to keep the same shape of my thick eyebrows. If I could give them no stars I would, this is the second time me going here and the first experience was just as bad I just thought it'd be different with another lady working with me. I just moved to Gastonia from Raleigh and noticed Brow Art 23. I thought great, don't have to search very far to get my brows done. The place was empty. There was no customer service. I had to go to the little office to let her know I was in there. She seemed bothered that I came in. I have had my brows threaded for 3 years but I never experienced so much pain. She hit 3 spots on each brow and said $12. Ridiculous. I can't believe they are still open. read more

Went here for a second time. First time wasn't a bad experience but my brows were made thinner than I wanted. Went in the time making sure it was clear I wanted to get thicker brows and they lady said she understood but proceeded to make one brow very thin and the other thin and short. They don't make at all and look awful. Never coming back read more

Last evening (3/21) at 5:15 PM there was a lady who worked on my eye brows - cut me on multiple places and literally ruined my brows. I don't know her name but she was a very stout lady and the only one working at 5:15 PM there. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE experience. HORRIBLE!!! The dumb bitch ruined my face! She was an amatuer--worst threading I've ever had. I am not fussy and have a high pain tolerance but this woman painfully threaded my right eyebrow (much thicker than I asked her to) and then ripped two chunks of my left eyebrow out altogether! She then tried to hastily use an eyebrow brush to cover it up, but when she handed me the mirror I was horrified. She asked if I wanted her to, "make the other one as thin??" but I said I didn't trust her and I'd fix it myself when I got home. Did the best I could but my friends and family still noticed the awful job this girl did. I don't know if she's licensed (I didn't see any of the usual signs/certificates) and she was certainly unprofessional. I generally trust people to do at least a decent or fixable job with such a simple thing as eyebrows, but when she gasped at how bad a job she'd done and then tried to hide it from me I had to warn others not to be as naive. I warned the ladies after me who stared at my eyebrows and were surprised I even paid and had to wear sunglasses out of the mall and drive straight to target to get some eyebrow pencil to return some shapliness to my face. this is the worst brow job i have ever had done. one of my eyebrows is so thin it looks like it was drawn on with a pencil and the other one is bushy. i wasted 12 dollars. i would give this place a negative star rating if i could. these people do not know what they are doing. read more

I wanted to get henna on my hand/arm and this was one of the only places I could find with a google search near my home. I tried calling 4 times before heading to the mall. I decided to go in anyways, thinking they may be busy. WRONG. I walked into the store and the only employee was on the phone talking. She motioned me over to the chair, but I didn't want my eyebrows done so I waited for her to finish her (personal) call. As she was finishing her phone conversation I looked at the henna prices listed ($20 and up) which seemed reasonable. The store was clean and welcoming. She hung up the phone and I told her what I wanted. She just looked at me and I asked again if I could get henna. She told me they do not offer henna at the store, even though it is listed as a service all over the store. She then offered me her personal cell # and told me I could come to her apartment to get it done. What a waste of time. read more
