We are regulars at Brothers. The pizza is the best in the area, like you are in NY or Boston. The steak and cheese and chicken cheese steak subs are also delicious. The salads are really good as are the beers. They have a full menu of Italian staples but we tend to stay with pizza and subs with the kids. Only a couple of easy on easy off miles from I95 if you are hungry and passing through the DC area. You will not be disappointed. read more

We had not been back to Encore for 6-8 months so we thought we'd give it a try again. Worst meal ever. Antipasta salad was good but entrees were awful. I had the Grilled Chicken pasta dish. The pasta was over cooked and mushy. Waitress asked if I wanted spicy and I said yes. Such a mistake. I like spicy but this was over the top. Supposed to have Artichoke hearts, chopped Roma Tomato, fresh Mushrooms and Onions. Certainly little or no Artichoke hearts, few mushrooms, little or no onions and Cayene pepper spread over the top, not cooked in with the food. My wife got the Stuffed cabbage rolls. 2 small rolls. Came cold inside so we assume it was frozen and heated up. Mostly rice, not ground beef. Waitress offered bread but it didn't come so we asked after entrees came. She said it was in the microwave and would be right out. It came out thoroughly microwaved. If you threw it at someone and hit them, it would surely hurt. Very tough and rubbery. Waitress was absent mostly, hard to find. She seemed to socializing with the rest of staff and not paying attention to us or the 1 other table she had. Maybe the pizza and subs are still good but do not order a meal there. You'll be disappointed. read more

My parents come here repeatedly for the bruschetta pizza. It's delicious and never a hard sell in my family. They also serve a family size salad, but it tends to be just iceberg and I wish they would use better lettuce. read more

We eat here often because they make one of my favorite steak and cheese subs. The menu is huge, so there is something for everyone. As of November 2011, they have recovered all of the chairs and booths and it looks really nice. Our only complaint is the inconsistency in the service and speed of the kitchen. Our worst experience was waiting over an hour for our meal with little help from our server or the kitchen - all we ordered were two subs. However, if the kitchen is having a good day and you have an attentive server, it is a great experience with yummy food! read more

This is actually the first review I have ever given on Yelp. VERY disappointed in my steak and cheese and I can say with certainty the "baked ziti" and "lasagna" were served at scorching hot temperatures with cheese slices melted on top. The food was terrible. This place has really good food - doesn't matter what you get. Pizza by the slice as well. The garlic knots are fantastic, and the inexpensive pizza rolls are a meal by themselves. The attached but separate bar has live bands and great service, but is really, really small. We'd go more often, but it's fairly expensive for a pizza/Italian place. read more

I always have a great time when I come here. The food (the Tuscan chicken pasta is the best) is delicious and the service is warm and friendly. The fact that there are so many regulars hints at the quality of service. The adjacent pub offers karaoke/bands on the weekends, and Ian, the bartender, makes great drinks and even better conversation. I have yet to be disappointed. read more

My husband and I have been going to this restaurant since 2003 and after our last experience, will never, ever return. I ordered my usual spaghetti with sliced sausage and asked for angel hair pasta instead. Nothing confusing. After about 30-40 minutes (which is very long for pasta) the order came out and was incorrect. I asked how long it would take to remake it and the waitress said "a long time." She then said that she would talk to Pietro (sp?), the owner, about offering a discount. A couple minutes later she returned and said "Pietro says he is sorry". I asked her if he was going to offer a discount and she said "no" and walked away. My husband then decided to go talk to Pietro and explain the situation. Pietro was extremely rude and condescending to my husband. My husband told him that we had been coming there for nearly 10 years and he shrugged his shoulders in a "I don't care" manner. He then said in a sarcastic way, "what, do you want me to take a dollar off or something?" My husband then said "no, we just will not be back again". Pietro looked the other way and said "oh well.". When the waitress came over and we tried to explain to her what happened, she told us to "stop" and let her talk, and then accused us of getting hostile over over a plate of pasta. She then proceeded to explain to me, like I was an idiot, that spaghetti is just larger than angel hair and that there is real no difference. So, in summary, this place does have good food; however, the owner does not care about his customers or whether they return. In addition, the waitresses get angry and rude if you do not want to eat something that you did not order. Please do not go to this place. Carrabba's cares more about its customers and provides them with much more respect. read more

Oh jeez! I would never go back to this place! My friends and I went to the bar asked for Long Islands, whiskey and coke, and rum and cokes. They were disgusting. I'm surprised they can keep their liquor license. You could tell there was a huge over pour. It gets worse...when we very politely asked to have our drinks changed, the owner Tara very rudely continued to ask us what was wrong with our drinks and that the person who made them has been bar tending longer than we have been alive. She rolled her eyes at us, took our drinks, and left! Then she made the waitress give us our tab and leave! I've heard stuff about Tara before even going there. Apparently, she treats her staff pretty bad and gets mad at customers all the time. She is rude and obnoxious to everyone. Best family owned restaurant in Prince William County! LOVE THIS PLACE! There is something for everyone, which is so great if you go with a large party (they are always willing to accommodate, even with no notice!). We're frequent customers because the food is consistent, it tastes great, and the portions are generous. Their pizza is outstanding, and the chicken cacciatore is one of my favorites. I had a birthday party at Brother's Encore for my young adult son and about 25 guest and ordered several different pizzas which came out perfect. Everyone had their favorite and the cost was reasonable. Afterwards, everyone went over to the pub side where they were singing karaoke and each of the young adults got up and sang several songs but the best part was when my 86 year old father sang karaoke for the first time in his life. Several months later, my parents are still talking about what a fun night that was for them. The food and the service were great and the entertainment was awesome. I love that the Pub is non-smoking and we enjoy the Saturday night band that they hire to play, the music is not too loud and you don't leave the place smelling like smoke and hard of hearing. Wherever I am living or travelled to I always try to find an Italian place to eat. A couple years back I had the good fortune of ending up at Encore. Everything I tried on the menu (over the course of a few weeks), was fantastic. This past week I was back in the area and of course mad it a point to get out to Encore hoping to have that great eating experience once again, and I was not disappointed. Everything was perfect from the atmosphere, the wait staff, and most importantly the food itself. Quantity and quality were exceptional. I got there twice this past week and only wish I was there longer to go a third or fourth time. Highly recommend the sausage and meatball parmigiana. Expect to have to take some home. In the end, Encore is the best Italian place I have been to, ever. read more

Not worth it! The place was empty on a Friday night at 9p. Okay, so there was one other couple seated, as well as the staff. That should have been a clue but we gave them the benefit of the doubt. From the beginning there were many clues that we ignored. We were served extremely hot microwaved bread that became very hard after it cooled. For appetizer we ordered wings. While flavorful, the wings were flavored with MSG or at least a lot of sodium. The alfredo sauce on my wife's fettucinni was very runny. The calzone I ordered was extremely chewy which caused me to suspect that it may have been microwaved as well. To add insult to injury, I ate less than 1/4 of the calzone but manager told waitress that they would only charge me 1/2 price. The manager did not come to the table until after I requested. After explaining that I did not want to punish the waiter for the poor food but needed to have cost adjusted to reflect the fact that I could not eat the food. I was given a cash refund because they didn't know how to credit amount back to card. I have to say that I will definitely not be back. First and last visit. read more
