A month later a reply from the manager or owner and my reply back. Trying to over charge a customer ordering a 2 toppings for a specialty pizza price (that has 5 or more toppings). Sad!!!

My second time in New York and my second time at Joes! I stopped by New York for a quick weekend in the beginning of January, it was pretty cold so Joes was perfect to stop in for a bite. The place was busy and warm! The vibe makes you really feel the New York experience, popping in and grabbing a slice and hiding from the cold! We will be back Joes. Can't go wrong with a slice here

It's also connected to winestyles. The menu is Italian in nature with some Greek flare like gyros meats and flaming cheese. During my last visit we ordered a garlic lemon butter sauce with Salmon. It was very delicious. Our little, who was starving and begged to come to see the flaming cheese ordered well the saganaki and buttered pasta. She wanted steamed broccoli, but Giorgio's has seasonal veggies and rotates which ones they have so no veggies for her this day. It was very nice coming for lunch and our server was very sweet interacting with our little. I do think the prices here are high for this area and I would be more inclined to visit more frequently if prices were more affordable. So for us this is a occasional visit restaurant.

First the positives: I ordered the Gyro with fries and really enjoyed it. Not the best Gyro I have ever had, but good. The other three members of my family ordered different chicken dishes and all three were bad. Overall they were very bland. Using a little seasoning during cooking goes a long way. The chicken on the dishes seemed boiled. I guess this is an easy way to get tender chicken, but man does it remove the flavor! My wife's chicken had tendon and grizzle through out. My daughter's Marsala was gross. Seemed to be a Jared gravy. The wait staff really should not be wearing jeans, especially since the dining room seems nice (except for the paper table cloths.). One of the waitresses had ugly tattoos which no one wants to see at a nice place like this. It's a shame. This place has potential, but the food and wait staff drag it down HARD.

Deliciousness - 5/5 Happiness - 5/5…read more I've been here a few times now and always left happy and very full. The best Italian restaurant in the area hands down. This is definitely an old school Italian place, with dark wood furniture and oversized pasta portions (no complaints from me on that!). The pasta is always cooked exactly right (it's really hard to do pappardelle right as it's such a big noodle and can easily become a wet mess that tears apart on your fork, but each noodle here stayed together and didn't break apart), and the sauces are distinct and flavorful. From the standard sauces like alfredo, to the unique like a lamb ragout, they have deep flavor that keeps you eating until your stomach says no. The waiter was friendly and attentive, engaging my kids as much as me. We also went with the bruschetta, which was tasty (particularly the mozzarella) but I wish had at least one more slice of bread to serve as an appetizer for four. I wasn't overly impressed with the mixed drinks, but I didn't go there for that either.

It's a small place, mostly take out, but they do have tables and chairs to eat in. Four o'clock in the afternoon they were doing a popping take-out business. We were informed while ordering that they had a current special for a large cheese pizza for $9.99, additional toppings extra, so we ordered a large cheese, add bacon and jalapenos all over, pepperoni on half. Less than twenty minutes later they delivered our pie, fresh out of the oven. It looked and smelled amazing, and tasted just as good. Great crust, great sauce, great cheese, and the balance of all toppings was perfect, not too much or too little of anything. We will be back for more pizza, and definitely want to try the subs too. Mirna Restaurant [MR]. (3.25 stars)…read more Pardon the Alice in Wonderland meets Rocky Horror Show confusion of thoughts that follows... :) Italian & Greek. Sure they have a "Mediterranean" theme. Mexican & Salvadorian. Sure geographically it makes sense. Italian & Mexican. Wait what?! I literally screamed!! Let me explain... I grew up for my formidable years in Worcester MA. My family (parents, grandparents, cousins, aunts, uncles except one, aka entire family) were still in HI but I got shipped off because it was supposed to be a boot camp for me so to speak. What a laugh... My uncle couldn't cook to save any of our lives. I am Asian by descent but definitely not a decent Asian. ;) I never knew what Asian food was until well into my high school years (and was forced to move back to HI). I ate at every neighbors house for almost every meal & wouldn't have changed my culinary journeys for the world!! I grew up on a block with 20+ Italian American families, 4 Mexican American families, and 1 (mine) token Asian family. In the 80s Worcester was definitely a version of Little Italy!! But there were some Mexican influences that we as kids got to enjoy. So when I saw MR, I immediately reverted back to my childhood days & had to stop by to check them out. I haven't found many Italian/Mexican restaurants in my travels... There isn't much info on FB, IG, or Yelp. The first thing I noticed as I entered MR is that English was definitely NOT the language spoken by both patrons & the server/bartender. I don't mean any offense by that. Just an observation. :) I will fully admit I'm not an expert as far as Authentic Mexican food is concerned. But as I grow older, supposedly wiser, & definitely more anti-social... I've learned that authenticity, while appreciated & celebrated is not what I look for at the end of my meal. I look for 1) TASTE. 2) TEXTURE. 3) PRESENTATION. That's what makes me satisfied & happy when it comes to any meal (in that order). Italian is & always will be my favorite but Korean & Mexican are a tie for second! (Wasn't always that way)!! Asian food wasn't even on my "list" until my early 30s?! However, I adore Korean Tacos and Kimchi with my pasta so hence my comment about taste vs authenticity. Anywho... I ordered the two items that were recommended by my server. Steak Burrito. (3.5 stars). The steak is cubed but a little tough to chew. However, the burrito is a very generous portion & cheesy. I did find it interesting that the filling also has romaine lettuce & avocados (which is nowhere on the menu description). First time I've had that combo but texturally it worked... crunchy, creamy, chewy...? I do wish the plate was kept under the salamander for another minute to get the cheese melted completely & slightly crispy on the edges... but still a hearty dish. Lengua Tacos. (3 stars). I grew up with a Yucatán influenced version of Mexican food. All of our Mexican American neighbors emigrated from the Yucatán which relies heavily on RED ONIONS. This is why I probably still adore red onions (or any Onions) BUT still cannot stomach white/round/yellow onions!... NOPE. Yuck. I ordered the Lengua tacos & asked that the cilantro & onions be put on the side because I was told that MR uses white onions. Great I thought! Won't have to pilfer through the disgusting white onions!! Ummm... GONG!!! WRONG. The lengua is already cooked together with white onions so just be aware of that when you order it. Asking for the onions on the side was pointless for me. The lengua was tender & had a nice chew. Tortillas were fresh & greatly appreciated. Even though I wasn't absolutely blown away by my first visit. I'll definitely come back to try some other dishes at MR. Perhaps I may try their Italian dishes... Doubtful but the Mexican dishes definitely have some redeeming qualities that have piqued my interest... for at least another round!! Parking is available in a shared lot. I do wish MR well.

It was easy to find as it is tucked in a small shopping center right beside the Prince William Parkway on the north side of the road. It is only minutes from Lake Ridge and Old Bridge, with a huge, well-lit parking lot, so parking should not be an issue. Inside, the atmosphere is casual and family-friendly. Seating is wooden chairs with tables with a fruit design around the edges. You enter and are greeted by hostess. We did not have a reservation and, yet, seating was immediate. The staff was absolutely wonderful even though it is a popular place and our waitress was pretty busy. We got dishes of fettucini alfredo, spaghetti with meat sauce and a cheese pizza. We shared all the dishes between us and still had plenty to take home for extra meals later. The restaurant was kept very clean. The food came out quickly and it was absolutely wonderful. Prices were very reasonable despite the giant servings. If you're anywhere near Prince William Parkway and are craving authentic Italian-American comfort food done right, Armetta's is definitely worth the stop.

Charging extra for every single topping might be fine if you actually got a decent amount of them... but this was barely anything. The vegetables were diced so small it felt like we got maybe an eighth of a green pepper, a few mushrooms, and onions that were basically nonexistent. We ordered the thin crust, and look... I'm not expecting Chicago... but if you're offering thin crust and square cut, you should know how to do it right. This wasn't it. The crust was like eating a stale cracker... with a solid two inches of hard, overcooked edge. The actual pizza had barely any cheese, and what was there somehow still felt underdone. And the sauce... no flavor at all. It honestly tasted like straight-up canned tomato sauce with zero seasoning. And honestly... the most frustrating part of this entire experience was the app. It is absolutely not user friendly. It kept glitching, throwing errors, and wouldn't let us move forward when we tried to apply a coupon. We restarted the order three separate times before finally just giving up and starting from scratch. At that point, it already felt like more effort than it was worth. Which is what makes this even more disappointing... we were actually trying to give this place a real shot because we're so sick of chain pizza. We wanted something better... something local... and this was just a letdown on every front. Also... in what world is $50 okay for a pizza and a sandwich like this? Way overpriced for what you get, and definitely not worth it. Safe to say we can mark this one off the list... So far, the original Padrino's Pizza is still the top contender around here... but wow... I miss Chicago food
