My husband absolutely loves this place. I've only had the fries so I'll give my review on the fries and share his feedback on the pizza, calzone and fries. The calzone he had last week was an absolute game changer. First off, it was HUGE. It was delicious, not overly greasy and cooked to perfection. This past visit, he got a medium pizza and loved it. The crust was slightly thicker than he was expecting but it worked perfectly. Now their fries ... I LOVE JOE'S FRIES. I like to say I'm a French fry connoisseur and these crinkly cut fries did not disappoint. I'm literally obsessed. First time ordering from Joe's, will absolutely not be the last! Made an online order ahead order for two XL pizzas, one with pepperoni, jalapeno and bacon, one with ham, black olives and bacon. Oops, the second one arrived not *quite* correct, instead with pineapple not bacon, but no harm no foul, my mom loves it, my dad picked his off and I stole his to put on mine :D I ordered shortly after 4 for a delivery time of 5:30. Delivery driver knocked on the door at 5:29 and let me tell you this pizza was red hot and smelled amazing. High quality toppings, a little greasy (the good kind, due to pepperoni and bacon lol) and everyone really enjoyed it. Taking leftovers to work tomorrow, will see how it holds up cold and reheated. HORRENDOUS EXPERIENCE - EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL After spending more than 20 years in the restaurant industry and owning and operating a business for over 10 years, I don't take leaving a negative review lightly. As a business owner, I understand how hard it is to operate a business, manage employees, deal with customers, control costs, and keep things running when you're busy. I also understand that mistakes happen. That is why I generally give businesses the benefit of the doubt and don't immediately take to the internet when something goes wrong. **But this experience was different** It wasn't simply bad food. It wasn't simply a pricing discrepancy. It was the complete lack of transparency, accountability, and professionalism that I found absolutely unacceptable. We recently moved to the area and were looking for a new local place to order pizza or subs. We came across this restaurant and decided to give it a chance. I attempted to place a delivery order through their website, where the listed prices were $11.99 for a medium sub and $13.99 for a large, with a $2 delivery fee. The website initially said our address could not be located or was outside their delivery area, even though the restaurant is approximately 14 minutes away. I called the restaurant directly, explained the situation, and was told they could deliver to us. So we placed the order. We ordered two large subs, mozzarella sticks, and two cans of iced tea. Based on the prices displayed on the restaurant's website, I expected the total to be approximately: $13.99 -- Large Sub $13.99 -- Large Sub $9.95 -- Mozzarella Sticks $4.00 -- Two cans of iced tea $2.00 -- Delivery fee Plus tax Instead, the total came to $56 and change. Naturally, I called to ask why. I wasn't calling to argue. I wasn't demanding anything. I simply wanted an explanation for why I was charged substantially more than the prices advertised on their own website. The employee told me that the large subs were actually $15.99 each before tax, bringing each one to approximately $17.99 after tax. The problem? **Nobody told me that.** Not when I called. Not when they agreed to deliver the order. Not at any point during the transaction. And the prices displayed on their website were different from the prices I was ultimately charged. As someone with extensive restaurant and business experience, I find this particularly troubling. If your online pricing is different from your actual pricing, that needs to be clearly communicated to the customer before the order is completed. It's basic customer service and basic business practice. I then asked to speak with a manager. **What happened next honestly left me disgusted.** The employee apparently didn't realize I could hear his conversation with the manager. I heard the manager say: **"I don't want to talk to him."** The employee then came back on the phone and told me there was no manager there. **ARE YOU SERIOUS?** I've been in this industry for more than two decades and have owned a business for more than ten years. I have dealt with customers on both sides of the counter. I understand how stressful running a restaurant can be. I understand having employees who are overwhelmed. I understand being busy. But I have NEVER considered telling a customer, directly or indirectly, that management simply doesn't want to speak with them to be acceptable customer service. If a customer has a legitimate concern, YOU ADDRESS IT! You listen. You explain. You take responsibility if you made a mistake. And if you didn't make a mistake, you professionally explain why. What you don't do is hide behind an employee, claim a manager isn't available when one clearly is, and essentially tell the customer that you're "too busy to deal with them." That is what I find most disturbing about this entire experience. And unfortunately, the food itself didn't exactly redeem the situation. The subs were soggy and underwhelming, making the experience even more disappointing considering what we were charged. I want to be very clear: I'm not expecting perfection. I've been around restaurants far too long to expect that. But I absolutely expect honesty, transparency, accountability, and basic respect for the customer. Mistakes happen. Pricing mistakes happen. Websites can have outdated information. Restaurants get busy. **None of those things excuse the way this situation was handled.** In fact, the situation could have been resolved very easily with a simple conversation. Instead, what should have been a straightforward question about an unexpected charge turned into an experience that demonstrated an alarming lack of professionalism. We were genuinely hoping to find local businesses we could support regularly. Unfortunately, after this experience, this is one business that will never receive another dollar from me. read more

Let me start with saying Joes is some of the best pizza I've had in years. I travel for work so I always like to try local pizza wherever I go. I can tell you joes did not disappoint. Visiting my nephews calls for auntie to spoil them with pizza! They suggested i order from this place. Love their pizza! This rating is for Joe's Pizza as a whole. I used to fo to the location on Route 1 in, I think, Prince William Plaza. The store that was taken down to widen the road. I haven't been to this location. I didn't know where they moved. Now I know where they are I'll be heading back for some Hippie Rolls. I love'em when they're hot (temperature wise, not spicy). We used to eat there all the time when we moved to the area in 1984. The last time I was at the original location I ordered 6 Hippie Rolls. For some reason they weren't as fresh nor were they hot. We have ordered cheese pizzas before having to put paper towel on it to soak up the unnecessary grease and this one we didn't. The Joe's Special with added black olives was cooked perfectly. You typically get some undercooked ingredients with as many were on there but I did not. Although it sounds like a complaint, it really isn't. (I might ask for lighter ingredients the next time to see if will taste differently.) They were cut thin and spread evenly. The dough was cooked and not doughy. I would've liked a few more extra sprinkles of cheese. All in all it was a great tasting pizza! The House Salad was good. I think I would've liked to have the garlic bread toasted but it was good as well! When it comes down to it, give this place a try! You will not be disappointed!
