I recently purchased a brand new vehicle, and during the buying process, was offered a summer special deal on a "platinum package" from Ziebart, which included rust/stainproofing of the outer/inner of my vehicle. Seeing as we live in CNY and deal with nothing but water and salt here, and since I'm the type to drive vehicles into the ground before I buy new ones, I decided it was a worthwhile investment. 2 months later, I spill a little water while taking a drink and end up with a water stain on my seat. I called Ziebart, had a great customer service experience with Judy, who said she would squeeze me in on Saturday morning, just 2 days after I called. I arrived right at the time she told me, and was told 15 minutes and I'd be good to go. They fit me in between appointments, and 15 minutes later when I returned, my car was ready just as they said, and the stain was gone, no charge. I honestly was a little worried by some of the reviews, and just feeling as if there was gonna be SOME way where it wasn't "covered by the waranty" and I'd somehow have to come out of pocket, but I had nothing but a great experience with Ziebart.

I went to to get my windows tinted, and my experience started off great. The initial communication…read morewas excellent--prompt, responsive, and very helpful. I had high hopes for their service. However, things took a turn after the job was done. About a week after the tinting, I rolled my windows down for the first time, and the tint on the driver's side window peeled away. While I understand that things like this can happen and expected an easy fix, it unfortunately became a frustrating process. When I brought up the issue, the great communication I initially experienced completely stopped. It felt like a battle just to get them to acknowledge the problem and agree to fix it. After about a week of trying to get help, I decided to go to the shop in person. Thankfully, I was able to get some assistance, but the second attempt at fixing the tint was even worse than the first. It seems like they didn't clean the window properly before reapplying the tint, as there's visible dirt and old adhesive trapped underneath. While the staff was friendly at the beginning, the lack of follow-through and attention to detail on the repair left me disappointed. I really wanted to give this shop a glowing review because the initial impression was so positive, but unfortunately, the outcome and poor communication after the issue arose left me dissatisfied. I had to take two days off of work to have them cancel on me a second time. The second time I was…read moretold my car would be done by 1:30. After an hour of waiting they tell me that my car cannot be done today. Then they tell me my car is blocked in and they cannot get it out. After a half hour of them "trying" I had to call the state troopers. Another 30 minutes goes by before my car came out of the garage. The interior had grease marks everywhere and there was residue everywhere. I am filing for damages through small claims court. One of the employees was also making fun of people who use Groupon and called them cheap. I would NEVER go to this place again even if they offered to do the job for free.
