First time coming here after work. Very spacious place and a lot of seating. I never been and thought it was AYCE, it is not but overall the food is very filling. You are still able to choose your meats to cook on the grill and our server was so kind to even cook it. The sides were refreshing and she even gave us tofu soup on the house! Great service and good food, hope to come here again!
Came in around 8P on a Saturday night, got sat right away! Service is quick and efficient My fiance and I decided to try the rice cake, bossam (steamed pork), to grill: bulgogi and brisket Rice cake came out hot and steamy, the sweet and spicy flavor is strong, the bossam was very tender and juicy, brisket has good cut of lean meat and fat ratio and the bulgogi marinade was delicious Overall very yummy dinner, amazing service as always!
Much improved from our last visit two years ago. They have lunch combo specials and a Bo Sam as an appetizer. Not common as you usually see Bo Sam as a special. The Bo Sam is inexpensive and easily feeds 4 as an appetizer, the only small dislike was the pork belly was a bit fatty but quantity wise was a good size of 15 pork belly slices and 6 long lettuce leaves. We put it in the oven that night and it crisped up and melted some of the fat away - Perfect. The combo Spicy Pork and Cold Noodle Soup was also large and easily feeds two if you were to share. The Banchan was also good. Portions are large and we took home enough for dinner that night. Service is attentive.
I used to visit the location when it was Han Dae Gam and now Brother's BBQ. Place looks basicslly the same and food is just as good if not better. Visited with some friends for weeknight dinner and it wasn't too busy. Tables set up for cooking at the table yourself or having them cook it in their kitchen and bringing the food out to you. This is not an AYCE restaurant. :: Korean Seafood and Green Onion Pancakes (Haemul Pajeon) - crispy, soft inside, flavorful with clams, shrimp - good! :: Chicken wings - these were okay and wouldn't order again :: Japchae - translucent glass noodle made from sweet potato starch and mixed with thinly sliced, marinate beef, carrots, onions, spinach with soy and sesame oil - delicious :: LA Galbi or Barbecued Beef Shortribs - nicely marinated, grilled - delicious :: Bulgogi - thinly sliced beef marinated in sweet and savory sauced and grilled - good All dishes including the banchans were delicious but portions like the japchae were a tad smaller than like spots. Still a great Korean food option and would return again. Small shared parking in the back. Price per person with a beverage averaged $55/person with tax/tip
Food, really good! Service, exceptional! We came here on a random date night and we were so pleasantly surprised! Parking is abundant and we were seated right away. They have lots options for cooked food but we wanted to bbq our own food and that has a minimum of 2 entrees to order. The brisket was so good!! So tender, not chewy at all. I wouldn't mind getting 2 orders of this next time. We also got the marinated short ribs which were also good. On the sweeter side so might want to get the unmarinated one next time but still tasty. Tofu soup was really tasty, lots of tofu! The banchan were plentiful and the servers always checked in on us asking if we needed more. My fav were the potatoes! I would def want to come back! It's a great casual spot with quality food.
Went to Brothers Barbecue for a special family occasion! as always the service was super warm and welcoming it really has that family feel every time. Since it was my family's first visit, I ordered a little of everything: two tofu soup combos (spicy which will always be my favorite), kalbi, bulgogi, spicy chicken, teriyaki chicken, and bibimbap for the first time. Everything came out quickly and looked great photo-worthy. I already knew the food would be good, but my family loved it too. The bibimbap was a first-time order for me and I thoroughly enjoyed it definitely adding that to my regular picks. Even my year old niece enjoyed it here since its really spacious. I always enjoy both the food and the service here.
Went for lunch with my parents. We ordered the lunch combo: galbi + tofu soup. Seafood pancake. And beef tofu soup. But the waitress forgot to write down seafood pancake & it was okay because the food we received was perfect for the three of us with no leftovers! The banchan was super fresh and they gave us refills when we finished it. The lady helping us was super nice too. We really love Korean tofu soup so this was a treat. Would come back again!

Whenever they're in town, my customers from Korea always come here and say it's comparable--if not better--than KBBQ back home, so I had to see what the hype was about. At first, the pricing threw me off since I'm more used to AYCE KBBQ places. My friend and I ended up ordering the medium beef combination tray ($120), which turned out to be the perfect amount for the two of us--honestly, we could have eaten a little less. The quality of the meat was excellent, probably the best I've had at a KBBQ place. Service was also on point. The staff was very attentive, quick to refresh our banchan, and made sure our grill stayed clean throughout the meal. Overall, a little pricier than what I'm used to, but the quality and service make it worth it.
We're late-night diners and wanted some tofu soup on a weekday evening. It was around 9pm and I saw on Yelp, that Brother's BBQ closed at 10pm. I've passed by this place so many times and never noticed it. It's pretty big inside and they had some TVs playing kdramas. We were the only patrons, which almost made us not wanna go in, but did anyway and were so glad we did. I thought the workers would be annoyed we came in that late, but they were so friendly and attentive and didn't make us feel rushed at all. We ordered: Vegetable Tofu Soup extra spicy (but kinda disappointed since it wasn't spicy at all) Seafood Pancake 2 sides of rice Everything satisfied our craving. And no skips in the banchan- They were all good!! (I usually don't like fish cake, but loved theirs). This was the perfect amount of food for our party of two.
Solid KBBQ spot here in San Leandro. In fact, it's where my now-boyfriend and I went for our first date. I've been here with my mom before, and the food was great. When I came here with her, I enjoyed a hot stone bibimbap. So when a match from Coffee Meets Bagel and I were planning a date, and he asked to treat me out to dinner, I sent him options from Yelp, and he chose this one. Driving here is pretty easy despite being right by Bart and the train tracks. There's a fair amount of parking in the back. The restaurant itself is very spacious with plenty of seats. Date went so well, we just dove into conversation once we got seated, and it wasn't until a waitress came to ask us if we were ready to order that we realized we hadn't ordered anything yet. We went for standard KBBQ fare, including bulgogi. Our waitress was amazing with helping us cutting our meat, replacing the grill, and being so attentive. We enjoyed our dinner date so much, we ended up being the last ones in the restaurant, and got kicked out at closing time. That was when we decided to go get dessert...and got kicked out at closing time too, LOL! Thanks Brother's BBQ for being a great first-date dinner spot!
Had a wonderful dinner tonight. The staff was incredibly attentive, checked on us often, and took great care of our table throughout the evening. The hospitality really stood out and made the experience enjoyable!! Food and banchan is delicious and they even surprised me with a birthday treat and Milkis, which was such a thoughtful touch
I was hoping this would be one of my go to's, only 5 mins from the house. Came in on a Friday night about 6pm and got a able for 2 right way. The service was good, when we sat down they informed us that the kitchen is a little backed up and may take longer than usually if i didn't order the self cooking meats, which was nice because most place won't tell you until you're already pissed off from waiting. Kimchi Fried Rice was good, not too oily. Vegetable Tofu Soup was good. Beef Bulgogi had good flavor but the quality of the meat is not good very chewy. That's why I only gave them a 3 Stars
This is hands down my favorite korean BBQ spot in the east bay. The meat was high quality and the service was impeccable. Despite it being really busy, servers would come by to check on our table often. If you come here you have to get the beef pancake! The meat was very savory and perfectly seasoned! The sauce that came with the dish had me addicted. Their assortment of side dishes were impressive. Even in their soup, they didn't skimp on the amount of meat.
The staff are all friendly and helpful. We ordered the medium beef combination, one order of raw pork belly, the stone pot bibimbap, and the spicy buckwheat noodles. All 5 of us walked out full. The banchan is refillable. We loved their japchae, juicy cucumbers, and potatoes. The medium beef combination came with 3 bowls of rice, lettuce, and a salad. All refillable. The quality of the meat is good. The meat on the bone was unique but really good. I haven't seen it at any other spot before. I think it was oxtail. The staff member cooking our meat did a great job. The spicy cold buckwheat noodles come with vinegar and mustard on the side. You can add as much or as little as you like. read more
Classic Korean restaurant that reminds me of my mom's cooking. Came by for comforting late dinner. We ordered the stir fried spicy squid and galbi + sundubu combo. Everything was definitely made to order and I really appreciated how piping hot everything came out! It was definitely a good reminder for me to be patient, because wow I definitely burned my mouth a few times BUT it was totally worth it. It's been quite awhile since I've had a solid home cooked Korean meal that was somewhere other than my typical go to spot or just me making it at home. Very friendly staff and a decently sized restaurant appropriate for small and big family gatherings or just to hang out with friends! The wait time for being served was quite long here but it may have been due to the restaurant being short-staffed. 5/5 - Spicy Pork Bulgogi - The best dish we had at this place! The marinade was perfect, and we appreciated the large serving of pork bulgogi. 5/5 - LA Short Rib - Also another star of the show here! Very generous serving and was both tender and juicy! The short rib was also well-seasoned, and we couldn't get enough of it! 4/5 - Soft Tofu Soup - The soup was very tasty and not too spicy or salty! Unfortunately we thought the serving was a bit small relative to other locations we've had this same dish and relative to the other dishes for its price, so keep that in mind! 3.5/5 - Stir-Fried Shrimp - The shrimp was just as good as the vegetables served in the stir-fry sauce. The shrimp seemed a bit dry, but overall the dish was delicious! 4.5/5 - Kimchi Pancake - Large portioned kimchi pancake that is complemented well with their pancake sauce. Such a great little mom and pop KBBQ spot. We went for lunch and the lunch special can be split by two people. You get one protein (we got spicy pork, delish) and a tofu soup. Both were great and the price point was great. The service was amazing, and you can tell its family run. We will be back! read more
This might be my first time eating in San Leandro... we were looking for a Korean place before a show at Oakland Arena and this truly hit the spot! When you have a table full of ahjummas and ahjussis sitting in the back, post-golf - you know you've hit a solid spot. Ordered the standard items: bibimbap, kalbi, and soondubu - all were good and pretty decent portions. Two of us split this and were really full by the end. Not all of the staff were Korean but they've definitely got all of the soju advertisement posters on the walls and kdramas playing on multiple screens. Total after tax and tip was $74. read more
Came here on a Monday during lunch time. My co worker has been hyping this place up for a while and I'm glad I tried it out. My partner and I ordered the lunch combo which comes with vegetable tofu soup, rice, ban chans, and choice of meat. We picked spicy pork as our meat option. All this food for $27 is a great deal. The portion is enough for two people to share. The spicy pork, tofu soup, and all the ban chans were delicious. The japchae ban chan was my favorite. Customer service is also outstanding. The lady kept checking on us for ban chan and water refills. We will definitely come back again to try out their other dishes. I'm glad we live just down the road from this place. read more
This is located in a small strip mall on Davis Street. The restaurant is on the corner and can be seen from the street. Parking: They have a parking lot and parking should be no problem. Service: Friendly, attentive, and they remember you. They checked on us a few times and also refilled our banchan! Ambiance: Nice clean restaurant. Ceiling hood fans over the table of you are grilling your own raw meat. Otherwise, everything is cooked on the kitchen and brought out to you. Food: They give you several banchans (Fishcake, Japchae, blanched beansprouts, blanched broccoli, crispy potatoes, kimchi, spicy radish, spicy mungbean sprouts, and spicy pickled cucumbers). All fresh tasting, and well prepared. Beef Pancake: Korean Style Pancake with beef and assorted vegetables. Usually, you don't see beef pancake on the menu in most Korean restaurants, as they usually just have the seafood pancake and/or a kimchi pancake. The beef was tasty and meaty, like thick. We've ordered this several times. LA Grilled Short Ribs: Grilled Short Ribs marinated in a sweet soy sauce. These were tender and had a nice flavor. Served on a hot plate and on bed of grilled onions. Grilled Beef (bulgogi): Grilled thinly sliced beef marinated in a sweet soy sauce. Also served on a hotplate with slightly grilled onions. Pretty good tasting beef. (Not pictured) Con: They charge for takeout boxes. read more

Came here for dinner on a Sunday night and was immediately seated, really fast and friendly service. We ordered a variety of things to share and the standouts were the spicy squid and shrimp stir fry and the short ribs, both were really tasty and flavorful. I didn't like the spicy tofu soup bc it wasn't really hot at medium spice level, it had a lot of zucchini in it, and the broth wasn't as flavorful as I expected. The banchan variety was great though and overall I'd come here again if I was in the area and craving Korean food read more

I've been coming here with my now husband for the last several years. The food is great, the service is amazing (shoutout to my girl Esther!!), and the line is never too long! I believe there are no relations to the SF Brothers BBQ locations that we frequent. The food and recipes are definitely different. Quality/Quantity - Well, we did not share with our friends until after they ordered that we have been on a health kick. Going to have to start all over after this meal. Wait, I am leaving for Las Vegas in two days... No diet or eating healthy for me... Salad, complimentary - NOT enough for 4 people. My wife could have eaten this all by herself. Spicy Beef with Korean Cabbage Soup - One of our guests really likes this. The other 3 of us said it needed more flavor and more spices. So he ate and drank most of this soup. Grilled Pan Fried Flounder - Deep fried, minimum meat and sadly minimum flavor. But the fry was good. Pork Belly - Two orders, looked fresh and good. Very thick and fatty, just the way our guest likes it. But not marinated, which is what we all would have preferred. Minimum veggies and we had to ask for more. And they did not charge us for extra veggies. The only veggie options were mushrooms and onions... Marinated Short Ribs - The hit of the meal. Look at the marbling on that meat! Also of good quantity. Our guest took the bones home for their dogs. The waitress also offered to grill the bones for us, since they were larger than our grill. Banchan - Unlimited refills, and no hassle with the refills; thank you. Decent selection. But again, the flavors were just NOT impactful... Kloud beer - Smooth and refreshing, complements well with our lunch. We used to be regulars at Han Dae Gam, until Brian the owner passed away. We miss him and their food. Atmosphere - I appreciate you letting more natural light in, I always thought it was too dark with the previous owners. The bathrooms still look exactly the same. No change from the previous owners. Actually most of the interior looks the same. Open 7 days a week from 11am to 10pm. Small shared mall parking lot, but very few customers on this Sunday lunch day. Service - The two waitresses were okay. The owner is not that friendly. Well at least not to us. I went out of my way to say hi and bye. He sat in the corner "watching" the shop. Price - $283 + generous tip. Expensive for what we got. We had to "fight" our good friends for the bill. They got here first (30 minutes early) just to make sure they paid. They left their credit card with the waitress. We were able to negotiate with the waitress to at least split the bill in half, since no one would let us pay. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2022. Hope our next experience is better. read more

Yes ! We have lunch combos with soft tofu soup plus meat entrees and nang myun(korean cold noodles) with meat entrees as well. Of course side dishes comes with all the meals !
