Larry... they say ask for him.. that's crazy. First, he is very dishonest. I got my vehicle from…read moreCarvana and it had many undisclosed and unaddressed issues. There was lots of undocumented damage including a bad transmission and bad torque converter. SilverRock tells me the vehicle needs to go to one of their approved "in network" transmission specialists. We choose Norman, Oklahoma as that's the closest location to where we live. The manager (the person previously mentioned) did seem calm, friendly, agreeable, and informative at first. We were glad to have found that location and he made it seem like he knew cars and transmissions better than anyone. I felt we were in good hands. He personally gave us updates and a timeline for repairs. He explained the process.. ok, great. Now, next what happened was we waited for all the approvals as we needed an entire transmission R&R (Remove and Replace). SilverRock approved. Great! However, we were given a timeline and none of those times were accurate. It caused for several unnecessary missed work days.. we looked past that. There were reasons (excuses), fine. We accepted the uncertainty of time estimates. No problem. After near to two weeks we returned to pick up the vehicle and following a quick conversation I decided that once I got home I'd have a look under the hood. Something about the conversation I had just didn't feel right and I figured I should have a look. The first thing I noticed was that when I looked into the engine bay I could see the ground below. That was weird. No vehicle I've ever owned or had to replace fluids in was ever in a condition where I could see the floor. I know that a protective shield plate was missing and it was indeed the one they have to remove to do transmission work. The second thing I noticed was that the grounding strap that connected to the TCM (TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE) was just dangling loose. It had to be disconnected during the replacement and was not reconnected. I contacted the car seller and insurance company and they told me to take the vehicle back to be properly reconnected and that it was an incomplete service. I was not pleased. When I brought my vehicle back I spoke to the manager (the person aforementioned).. right to my face and immediately HE BEGAN TO LIE. I TOLD HIM THE GROUND STRAP THAT CONNECTED TO EITHER THE PCM/TCM was left disconnected and dangling. Instead of accepting responsibility and accountability he told me right to my face that CHRYSLER/JEEP PUTS THAT STRAP THERE BUT IT DOES NOTHING. ACCORDING TO AAMCO'S MANAGER, "IT'S AN EXTRA PART THEY JUST THROW IN THERE AND IT SERVES NO PURPOSE." Now, I already know what that grounding strap does. It ensures the transmission they installed and it's computer components receive the correct and steady voltage to function and prevents damage to the components that include surges, low voltage, and fluctuating static that will destroy the parts related to heat and improper readings and calibration. In no way does Jeep just "throw that in there" to serve as an "extra courtesy" part that serves no purpose. I explained to him that that was ridiculous, and he doubled down on that lie. Next, he tried to get out of the missing "belly pan"/splash shield they removed to get to the transmission and never reinstalled. He told me that "It may have been removed and one of my guys saw it and took it thinking it was junk".. he admitted he has a guy that comes there and takes parts that are laying around. That was crazy to me. He then said that the plate was never on the vehicle when they got it. That statement was false. ALSO, WERE THAT THE CASE THEY SHOULD HAVE DOCUMENTED IT AND MENTIONED THAT TO SILVERROCK SO THEY COULD APPROVE AN ORDER FOR A REPLACEMENT OF THAT $200+ "belly pan". Next that man told me I didn't need that part.. that it mostly served a cosmetic function and was not needed. I already know that in reality that shield protects the engine, belts, alternator, and other engine components from damage from water and debris. He tried to convince me that is was simply a part I did not need. Then after agreeing to order and install a new one because IT WAS NEVER DOCUMENTED BY A TECHNICIAN THAT THE SHIELD WAS NOT THERE WHEN MY VEHICLE HAS BROUGHT IN (it was there, they took it off) he still called around and tried to get out of it. To sum things up..the management at that AAMCO location is DISHONEST, INATTENTIVE to DETAILS, NEGLIGENT, AND "UNAPOLOGETIC". (No apology was ever offered to me for their blunders.) I'm still a bit perplexed as to why an adult would stand there and lie like a small child as opposed to admitting fault. I won't tell anyone to avoid this AAMCO location.. that should be obvious. I will say I ABSOLUTELY AM NOT PLEASED WITH THIS EXPERIENCE and I'll be working with several corporate departments and possibly the Oklahoma Attorney General's office in tandem to have my grievances and observations appropriately documented and addressed.

I have a 2008 Dodge Grand caravan, and my transmission went out. I called around, to all the repair shops in Norman, and AAMCO had the best price, and now it feels like I'm driving a new car. The gears shift smoothly and I'm very Satisfied. They are located at 922 N. Flood, just off of Robinson. I am very Happy and won't take my automobiles anywhere else. THEY ARE THE BEST!!!!!!!

I couldn't ask for a better experience! They were very good to me. They went above & beyond!! I met the owner (he was the courteous shuttle driver that drove me home during the wait) and had a great, meaningful God & life talk with him. He's a great guy. So is Jeremy, at the front desk, and the rest of the crew. To top it off, when my car was done, they pulled it around for me, and left a bottle of refreshing water, & a treat bag!! Had my brakes lock up while driving on a Friday. Had my vehicle Towed there. Monday morning they…read moreevaluated it and sent me a link for repairs saying I need around $7k worth of work. When queried why the work needed to be done, they said it was based off of the mileage on the vehicle... not something they observed in the inspection. For example, they said I needed an oil change when the sticker in the windshield said it was current. Additionally, they said I needed rear shocks when they were in fact replaced two years ago. Again.. they said it was based off of mileage, not observed necessity. As for the reason I towed it there in the first place: they said they didn't know why it did that and would be happy to replace all discs and pads but would be fine with me driving it that day without the change... needless to say I can't trust them with the safety of my family so we had it towed to a different mechanic down the street. Again.. how could I trust their judgement when they couldn't find the problem, didn't know what caused it, and then they offer me thousands in repairs for issues they didn't even confirm I needed.. it's so sad they have as good of ratings as they do. I wasted money and time. Very disappointing Forgot to mention: they deleted the online quotes and diagnosis when we told them we'd be taking it somewhere else. Seemed worth mentioning Follow up: took my car to master tech for a second opinion. Dave looked it over and determined the following recommended services were NOT needed: rear brakes and discs are FINE and don't need to be changed (they said they were worn and needed to be replaced, he said they have more than enough pad left), water pump is fine and NOT leaking, it does not need to be changed ( they said it was leaking and even sent a picture with liquid on it) and finally, there is one strut leaking lightly but both shocks do NOT have to be replaced. Oh and the caliper they said didn't have any issues (the original problem I went in for because it got stuck and started smoking)... it needs to be rebuilt to be safe to drive on. Yall.. I cannot stress my disappointment enough in Christian brothers and their dishonesty. They were going to perform thousands of dollars in work for no reason other than to make a buck off of me. They took advantage of my bad situation. Single income family of 6 whose car broke down 45 minutes from home. Not to mention they were going to let me drive it with the issue unresolved! You don't care about people, you have no integrity and you ought to be ashamed of yourselves. Update from the day after: Jeremy reached out after I completed their customer satisfaction survey. He was very apologetic and wanted to hear what happened. He offered to reimburse us for our tow and genuinely cared about fixing the issue internally. From a manager/owners perspective I hope he's able to narrow down what happened and address it with his employees. that way this doesn't happen to anyone else. I have to keep the review and rating honest from my perspective so I won't be changing that but still felt like he wants to run an honest business and will not tolerate for deceit or dishonesty from His employees.

My main mechanic said to ask a transmission place for a quote on the TC. I came here and said I think the TC needs to be replaced. I was told I shouldn't believe everything I read online. They ran some tests, didn't have a definitive answer. Told me they could try to replace the spark plugs and ignition coil. Funny story, I replaced the spark plugs ONE WEEK earlier because I thought that would be a cheap fix. Went to a certified Toyota dealer and they said it's the TC, but it's out of warranty. Too bad, I would have paid AAMCO $2000 to replace the TC, but now I'll never come here again.
