So I bought a van from an out of state dealer and I had them meet me at Profix when they brought it to me to sign papers because Profix will do check up on the car for $140, make sure I'm not buying something with hidden damage or issues. Philip was AWESOME and took care of me, showed me where there may have been damage and gave me a full report in an hour. Not only that while I was on the call with the sales rep from the out of state dealer negotiating based on what Philip and his guys found, Philip actually went out and double checked something on the car and gave me his thoughts while negotiating. I wouldn't have bought the car without his help. And he let us sign the papers in the waiting room, even printed out some copies of paperwork from the out of state dealer to help us. All this to say, in my experience they are honest, well priced and very helpful. If you need a trustworthy, go to auto shop, this is it. So, my car died on the highway from Dallas on my way to Oklahoma City. They towed me here and it was the most pleasant experience for a terrible situation. David helped me out when I first got there and took the time to explain in a way that I could understand what is going on with my car. It's not good. He gave me two price ranges to let me know that I need a new transmission. I called around and decided I should go look for used cars. Scott took me to the dealership and talked with me about buying a car. Pointers and ways to not get pushed around. I went in with a flat tire. They noticed that the tire was still quite new and that it might be covered under warranty. I took it back to Walmart and got a free replacement. They could have just charged me to replace the tire and I never would have known. Regarding Sophie's review, I also had an experience where these guys went way above and beyond what any normal mechanic would do. Back when Laura was working there, I had to drop my car off for the day and was planning to walk back home (about 2 miles away). I have been leery of independent automotive repair shops for along time and have been taking my autos to Reynolds Ford dealership for all repairs for 15+ years. Even though I knew dealerships are the most expensive, I felt like I would be treated honestly (and I have been). I had an A/C problem and when I went to my regular shop (Reynolds Ford), there was a 2-3 day wait BEFORE my car could even be touched to diagnose the problem. I was told to leave my car on a Tuesday and it would be Thursday or Friday at the earliest before they could check it. I called a couple days later to check and the wait had been pushed back to Friday or Monday at the earliest. My car would be sitting on the lot for 5-7 days just waiting it's turn. I decided I couldn't be without a car that long and I did some research. Brookhaven Automotive had good feedback and was recommended by AAA. I stop by and talked to David. He told me to bring my car back in an hour and they would look at it, and add freon if that was what was needed and I would have my car back by close of the day. I dropped it off, and within a couple of hours, David called with my diagnosis and an accurate estimate of what the repair cost would be. I agreed for him to proceed with the repair. Since it was late in the day (after 4:00), he said he couldn't get the parts in that same day, but could repair my car the next morning. I chose to leave my car overnight (they kept it indoors). By 10:00 the next morning, he called and my car was already repaired and ready to pickup. There were a couple of other issues they identified that David told me about (I needed new brake pads, and I was already aware of that, so I had them go ahead and replace those too). I never felt pressured to buy anything or add any additional repairs. There were no hidden surpise costs when I picked up my car. David explained the repairs needed and I agreed with his recommendation. I checked the cost on "Repairpal.com" and the estimate was within the average repair cost for my city. Long story short--I am elated that I have found a new automotive repair shop for all my vehicles!!! While I was treated well at Reynolds Ford, they are always just to busy to repair my car in a timely manner, they always want to keep my car for too many days and they are very stingy about offering a loaner car even though they want to keep my car for half a week or longer for a simple repair. (I was told they have loaner cars but it is up to the service advisor to decide if you get a car and it depends on the $$$ you will be spending on the repair--that is poor customer service). Don't hesitate to visit Brookhaven Automotive. They are honest, trustworthy and efficient. They make appointments and the keep the appointment time to minimize the time you are without your vehicle. AAA members get a 10% discount on parts only and Brookhaven Automotive has a 10% discount for new customers on their website. read more

This autoshop is GREAT! I found them on the AAA website and I am so glad I did. The first time I used the shop, I went for an oil change. They found that I had a leak, showed me where the problem was, and explained how it can best be fixed. I so appreciated that they took the time to physically show me the problem. The second time I went to shop, it was after having my car towed due to a broken alternator. Here they went above and beyond! They saw that the alternator was still under warranty (i.e. I wouldn't have to pay for a new one) and took the time to look up who installed it last and found that since they were also a Napa Autoparts provider/AAA member, the labor was covered too! They made the experience of having a car die on me much more pleasant! Brookhaven staff was GREAT at keeping me informed as to what the problem was and how it might be fixed. I drive a 2010 Jeep Wrangler and I was down in Norman visiting some friends when my heating coil went out and my floorboard flooded with coolant. I was an hour away from home and needed a place to get repairs done because there was no chance I could get my vehicle back home. The turn around was fairly quick and got my car back 3 days later. When I came back to pickup my car my A/C would no longer blow cold air and not a single speaker in my car would work. I go back in to ask why these things are no longer working and all I'm told is that, my car was like that when I brought it in and the lady behind the counter gave me a quote right off the top of her head for another $1600 to fix just my A/C. I left rather quickly since there wasn't a manager on site that I could talk to about what I was dealing with. I call back the next day to speak with a manager I tell him what all had happened and the best he can come up for me was a long explanation of how his mechanics are the best and would never do something to intentionally damage or return a vehicle in their care. So I decided I wasn't getting anywhere with that and that I would just fix it myself and figure out what all they screwed up. Granted I work a full time job and have very little time to work on this car in the afternoons. Here I am a few months later and have fixed everything they screwed up on my jeep. First the speakers were all completely wired wrong behind my dash some cords weren't even connected in just free hanging. My A/C that was supposedly ceased when I brought it in. Was over filled with 70 PSI of free on when my A/C max only takes 30-40 PSI so no wonder my A/C wasn't working anymore the sensor wouldn't allow it to kick on because there was too much pressure from the free on they shot in it. I just really want an explanation at this point as to why I was lied to and tried to get taken advantage of by not only the staff but management as well. Very disappointed in this company. And if you're reading this review just stay far away no telling what they will screw up in your car and then blame on you!!!!!! read more

Had some electrical issues with my 2010 Ford F-150 Platinum. I took it to a couple of auto repair shops in the Shawnee, OK area. Told it would be $100 to diagnose and then up to $1000 to repair. I had my Subaru's timing belt replaced by Brookhaven a year ago and they saved me $300 off the dealer price. I called them up and took my Ford in the next day. The price was what I expected it to be, initially quoted lower but I know the pads on my car run a little more expensive from experience, so no surprise there. This place ripped my son by estimating repair for 400.00 then charging 600.00 with no explanation other than "parts were higher". BS. Also, they said a second vehicle he owned needed ball joint repair or deadly things would happen and all tires were completely worn out. My mechanic evaluated and found that Brookhaven Auto LIED!! AVoid this place!! Update: BA may have been correct about the tires as he recently replaced 3 of 4 tires. However, my mechanic did say ball joints did not need replacing. Service providers were busy visiting, when someone did come and check my car in the did not follow up on anything I requested. The car was finished in under the hour they quoted me, but I now know the reason why.. They only provided one of the two services I requested. So, I get to take more time off work. I had several issues that they were supposed to check on to see if they were covered under warranty, Devan the service provider disappeared, and did not follow up. When I scheduled the appointment they were supposed to check on whether something was covered on my service policy, said they would call me back and never did. (Barry). I went to check out, and the girls in the office were pretty busy playing around. Just poor poor service. Took vechile in for some issues..What a laugh, They kept vehicle 2 weeks and charged me $425.00 and then decided they couldnt figure out how to get it running smoothly..and told me to come and get it. Claimed they were changing many parts..and no luck. I told them that I wasnt going to pay for parts swapping till it runs service!! They then took off all parts and kept the $425.00. I was always impressed with the good prices and authentic care, I even got thank you cards in the mail! But last time they called to let me know I had a screw in the tire and they would fix it. There was no mention of an extra charge. If I would have known of a charge, I would have taken the car to any local Discount Tire, and they will patch a tire and even rotate the tires for FREE. When I got back to Brookhaven Auto to pick up my car the bill was $68 dollars. I was shocked, nearly $70 for a tire patch and an oil change. I spoke up and said I felt like that was a little steep but the lady at the desk did not seem to care and gladly proceeded to swipe my card. I told her I was unhappy paying that price for something that should have been no more than $50 TOPS, maybe $40. Needless to say, I was not told of this astounding charge and they did not seem to care when I told them. I did not see this coming but, I will NEVER take any of my vehicles back to them.
