The clown that owns this dump now will gladly allow you to think he is Jim because Jim was a strait shooter and loved this community. One of the first signs that this is not a true transmission shop is that they will professionally rebuild your transmission and give you a 90 warranty. Your second option is for half the money they will put a 144,000-mile used trans (which was my case) in and give you a year's warranty. They obviously have no faith in there own work. I was looking to sell it so I told the guy when I took it up there if it is going to cost more than $200-300 I didn't want to do it because it wasn't worth it to me to sink anymore money into a car I was going to sell. He said no problem he would call and let me know. Called me a couple of days later and said it was going to cost $1800 to fix. I said never mind fixing it then. He said he already had over $800 in labor in it and the car had the transmission in the trunk. I was furious! He told me the best he could do was put a salvage transmission in it for another $400. Because I wanted to sell the car I went ahead and did it but I hate those dishonest people and would not recommend them to my worst enemy. $1200 when my max was $300. He knew it would be more than that when I dropped it off. Never go there.

So there we were, Friday evening on a road trip up to the mountains from the South Bay. Suddenly,…read morewithout warning, all passengers in our Prius were struck with horror and panic, as the worst possible thing could happen to any normal driver: THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. Now, being men, we had to keep it together to calm the women and children and act like everything was alright ("no, I'm sure it's fine, it's probably a standard light that comes on at exactly 174,396 miles, the dealerships do it on purpose"). Mortally afraid and running on pure adrenaline, I did the unthinkable. I simply opened my yelp app and found A1 repair by filtering hours open and proximity to our location. Even now as I recall the event, I am shocked at how rational I was behaving under such extenuating circumstances. But I digress. The time was was 7:55 pm on a Friday night. We were 13 minutes away. Yelp indicated A1 closed at 8 PM. We weren't gonna make it. We were going to be stranded on a desert highway with nothing but sasquatch and axe murdered to keep us company at night. While us men were busy occupying ourselves with how we were going to fight off mythical creatures at night, suddenly, our female in the car did the impossible: she called Jasen, the friendly service technician, to see if he wouldn't mind staying open for another ten minutes, due to our obviously dire needs. Generously and professionally, he agreed and promptly help us to diagnose our check engine light, which turned out to be only a minor thing and nothing that couldn't wait til the next service appointment at the dealership. Well done, Jasen, you have saved us all! Highly recommend.

It was Saturday evening when we pulled into the gas station where this auto repair shop is located. Alex is the mechanic we met, and he was super nice. Told us how much it would cost to check the tire, then patch it if needed. So he checked, found a nail, did a patch, and we were done within 20 minutes or so. I mentioned Yelp and he perked up and gave us a 10% discount. Really super nice guy, and I highly recommend for your auto needs!

I love the music in the waiting room! They have other locations but I ended up at this one a little far from where I am right now but I think it was meant to be it's a beautiful place clean comfortable and the waiting room has coffee and other drinks and snacks, great places to sit, good Wi-Fi, it's just clean and nice much nicer than most places that you get your oil changed. Everyone in the office is great, service with a smile! The report that they send you after their inspection is very thorough and even has video to show you what you might need which I really appreciate. I have a few pics mainly just the waiting room lol it was so nice there. All in all a great place.

Christian brothers automotive review statement…read more I found Christian Brothers Automotive on South Western through the Costco Automotive website while searching for a reputable repair shop. My Honda Pilot was misfiring and had to be towed in, but Jason was helpful and professional from our first phone conversation. He kept me informed throughout the process and made me feel confident my SUV was in good hands. Jason sent a detailed link explaining the necessary repairs and what I should plan to address in the future. Everything was clear and easy to understand. I especially appreciated that there was no pressure or unnecessary upselling. I was told what my vehicle needed and what could wait. I researched the recommendations and found the repairs and pricing fair and reasonable. Honesty and transparency can be hard to find in automotive repair, but this location truly stood out. Jason communicated clearly, treated me with respect, and made the experience stress-free. I highly recommend Christian Brothers Automotive on South Western. Returned a couple of weeks later and was helped by Andrea, she was helpful and great to work with. This is my new auto repair shop.

I feared the worse, but Sam and his crew were able to identify that it was a faulty oil filter from a recent oil change (performed at another business). I was only charged for the new oil filter and the replaced oil. Since then I have taken my wife's 2014 BMW X5 Diesel there, which is a vehicle most shops avoid since it is German and it's a diesel. Sam and his crew take great care of this vehicle as well. I recently took my mom's 2012 Subaru Outback for a simultaneous check engine light, flashing "BRAKE" light, and traction control light. Sam and his crew were able to identify the issue - strangely enough, a faulty gas cap, which is all he charged for. Honesty and good work are hard to find nowadays, but you will find them with Sam and his crew at this AAMCO location.

My main mechanic said to ask a transmission place for a quote on the TC. I came here and said I think the TC needs to be replaced. I was told I shouldn't believe everything I read online. They ran some tests, didn't have a definitive answer. Told me they could try to replace the spark plugs and ignition coil. Funny story, I replaced the spark plugs ONE WEEK earlier because I thought that would be a cheap fix. Went to a certified Toyota dealer and they said it's the TC, but it's out of warranty. Too bad, I would have paid AAMCO $2000 to replace the TC, but now I'll never come here again.
