I thoroughly enjoyed my meal here!! They have the CUTEST piggy custard buns. The food is delicious and fresh. And the service is excellent. Everything came out so quickly. 10/10

Driving through Cherry Hill around lunchtime and decided to give Brother Seafood Restaurant a try for their dim sum. The restaurant is rather spacious and clean and well lit. There is a fish tank with some lobsters, crabs, and a couple of fish. It doesn't look that impressive for a seafood restaurant, but maybe the demand around this area is not that high. We ordered Shrimp Dumplings, Beef Short Ribs in Black Pepper Sauce, Stuff Sticky Rice Wrap in Lotus Leaves, Beef Rice Rolls, and Steamed Spare Ribs with Rice Rolls. The beef short ribs and the two rice roll dishes were pretty good. The sticky rice in lotus leaves was decent; but the shrimp dumplings were not up to standard. The shrimp didn't seem too fresh and the skin on the dumplings was thick and kinda soggy. Prices were pretty good and service was decent. They didn't even charge for tea which was nice. Overall it's an okay dim sum restaurant especially considering it is in New Jersey and not in NYC.

For a dimsum place in a plaza, this place certainly defied my expectations. Our table of 7 ordered a huge selection of dishes for a birthday celebration, and everything we ordered was delectable. Based on my experience from another dim sum place that shall not be named, I thought it'd take a long while for us to get our dishes. To my surprise, food came out pretty quickly and everything was on point taste-wise. Some of my faves were the fried shrimp balls, salt & pepper calamari, bbq pork buns, and fried dough rice roll. When the bill came out, I was also surprised that it was very reasonable. Service was great, in that the wait staff were friendly and helpful whenever we needed something. I'd love to go there again soon.

I came here for a tea ceremony, so it was quite a large group. The staff were friendly (for the most part) and helpful. The food came out quickly, and it was quite a lot. Not a lot of vegan or vegetarian options, but that's normal for dim sum. Duck was good but I wish they had the thin wrappers instead of the buns. I don't usually like the red bean sesame donuts but they were wonderfully chewy.

Very good dim sum and probably the best in New Jersey. The jellyfish was the best I have ever had anywhere. In fact, I had to ask what they do differently. Service was attentative, but because of the language barrier could be a little bit challenging, but friendly nonetheless. I only wish they had these steamed chicken with oil and scallion, but the stirfry wasn't bad. Definitely will return!

Go for the Dim Sum, skip the rest!! Honestly the largest selection of dim sum a la carte in the area. Not just dumplings... think turnip cakes, rice noodles with cilantro, stuffed eggplant, chicken feet, spicy cucumbers. It's a lot and almost all of it is very tasty. Grab a group, get a round table with a lazy Susan or whatever they are called in a Chinese restaurant lol, and EAT!

Peking duck was well cooked and tasty.

We gad a delicious bowl of hot and sour soup, with just the right amount of heat. Also, a nice dish of Seafood Mei Fun. Glad Brothers Seafood was open since we've had no power since 11:30 , and couldn't cook dinner.

We stopped into Brother Seafood for dim sum and it was fantastic. There is a convenient dim sum menu with photos where you can check the boxes next to the items and then hand to the server who takes your order sheet to fill. The dishes come out as they are prepared, but they arrive swiftly and piping hot. We ordered: shrimp dumpling, pork shiu mai, shrimp shiu mai, chicken feet in black bean sauce, beef short ribs in black pepper sauce, Shanghai pork and crabmeat juicy bun, cream custard bun, roast pork bun, crispy egg tart, stuffed hot pepper, pan fried turnip cake, salt pepper white fish, fried quail, pork rice roll, shrimp rice roll, pork and thousand year egg congee, cold cucumber, Chinese broccoli, mango pudding and a couple of dishes off of the menu which is also extensive. Service was excellent and initially we were sat at a small table for four, but after we ordered; they moved us to a large round table with a lazy Susan in the center which made for a great eating experience. The food was excellent and many of my measures of great dim sum (turnip cake, chicken feet congee, dan tat/egg tart, salt and pepper noodlefish/silverfish, custard bun) were 5/5 stars for me and a trek to Philly Chinatown is no longer necessary for great dim sum. Great food, great service, great experience!

Nope. I had high hopes but was let down. My husband and I came for lunch and were seated quickly. Staff is friendly and fast but the food is a straight forward "NO". My husband and I ordered 7 different dim sum options. The soup pork dumplings were very slimmy. I know that sounds weird but my husband described it the same way. Fried dumplings were just okay. Pork buns were greasy and the dough texture off. The shrimp dough rolls were way too thick and fried wonton I would not even try due to how greasy they were. I hate to give a bad review but there are better options in the area. Would not be back

I previously gave them a great review but I am sorry to say I have to modify it. I ordered take out. I saw the total $39.98 and I signed it. It was not until after I left when I looked at by receipt to see that the cashier circled 20% tip for take out. I asked for paper plates. Someone went to the back and brought out one foam plate and 2 paper plates. Then I noticed the foam plate had bite marks on the edge as though it was chewed on and the paper plates had specks of dirt. I went back in and said quietly that the plates looked chewed upon. He said don't use that one. I said I don't want to use any of these plates and I got a slight eye roll. I asked for take out containers to use as plates. He hesitated a bit and then directed one of the waiters to give me containers. Sorry I will NOT be back. I do not support a business that treat customers in this way.

Christina C.

Avoid at ALL costs. This is a distrusting restaurant. I hope the owner reads this and responds to this post since they are going against restaurant business laws. Do better! My mother ordered some take out and the cashier circled in 20% tip on both slips of the receipt before she signed and she was rushing out so we just caught this. Are you serious? I usually tip a few dollars for takeout but to pre circle and charge 20% on any takeout is absurd. Adding on top of this my mom discreetly and respectfully went into the restaurant to let them know one of the one styrofoam plate had chewed up marks in the corner (looks like rats) and he said he gave us other paper plates to use too - which were dirty to begin with. He rolled his eyes at her and she asked for takeout out boxes and he reluctantly handed her some styrofoam boxes. Talk about terrible service and attitude. I didn't even want to stomach my food after this. Mind you, I have NEVER given 1 stars in all my reviews but this was the icing on top.

Working late, I came to dine in around 10 PM and had fast delivery of everything I ordered. The food had creative tastes compared to the many traditional dumplings I have had in San Gabriel Valley. The dishes are fresh and rightfully cooked whether steamed or fried! The decor is slightly fancy enough for romance but contemporary for group gatherings. I had no problem with the servers and was grateful for military discount! I would defiantly come back to try the other options.

After comparing it to other similar food establishments beforehand and afterward, it just felt less than impressive overall. The restaurant almost felt too traditional in a way, if that makes sense. Some people may appreciate that authenticity, but for me it took away from the excitement and uniqueness I was expecting. The atmosphere and food simply did not leave much of a lasting impression. As for the food itself, it was decent enough, but nothing I would personally say it would blow your socks off. It definitely was not bad or "poor-man food" by any means, but it also did not have that satisfying "I can't wait to come back" feeling either. Overall, it was an average experience for me.

You know if it has a note about reservations on a Chinese Restaurant it must be good! It was early so we were able to be seating @ 5:30 but by 6:15 the place was almost full. Our waitress quickly gave us menus and water was served. Their menu wasn't an American traditional menu, with lamb, tripe, pork belly, intestine, and kidneys but they did serve common proteins also. We ordered fried dumplings and spring rolls while we paroozed the menu for dinner items. They came quick and take the roof off your mouth hot!! We ordered dinner, I had the dry pot style lamb 7 spice level out of 10, my dining partner salt & pepper chicken. My dry pot came quick, hot and so tasty. Waited 10 mins and we both started eating it. No sign of other dish. Couldn't get anyone's attention. Finally after another 5 mins, who looked like the owner asked what was wrong & went to check for missing dish. It arrived 10 mins later on a bed of lettuce No pepper & onion, very bland. We would go again possibly if we were in the area telling of the wait time as to not happen again hopefully & chose wisely - definitely a sauce

This place immediately came to mind after I read the reviews, and I ordered takeout tonight. I am very pleased to say that this was an amazing experience! I opted to do fairly simple dim sum, mainly because a restaurant that has "dim sum" in its name should shine in this category. I was able to place my order online, and had the scallion pancake, the pork, soup, dumplings, the chicken and shiitake dumplings, and the shrimp shu mai. The order was prepared, extremely fast, but very attentively. The packaging was thoughtful and protective, without being wasteful. They included a small container of delicious black vinegar/soy for dipping, and some chopsticks. All of the dishes were fantastic! My favorite was probably the shrimp dumplings, and I was happy that it was two for one night. Everything tasted very fresh and well-made. The seasoning was spot on, without being overly salty. My only regret was that after going to pick these up, I noted that the inside of the establishment appeared to be quite quaint and comfortable, and would definitely recommend that people check this place out for dine in options. The staff were very friendly, and made the pick up experience a positive one. So, if you're in the area and really want to have some dim sum, I would definitely recommend this place.
