The fellows behind the desk are always very pleasant, even when they are slammed. They charge a reasonable price for storage of my off season tires and get my car in and out in reasonable time for my booked appointments. There was a part I thought my car needed this past winter for the undercarriage, they brought it in but didn't sell it to me because they said I didn't need it so why spend the money? I appreciate the honesty as my mechanical knowledge is lacking Today as I brought my car in to have my summer tires put back on, the one fellow even remembered I worked nights and I hadn't seen him in 6 months. Great vibe coming in and leaving. Thanks guys, from one happy chick to a great team!

Getting my oil changed is one of those things I hate. Jiffy lube is pretty pricey, and any guy I…read moreknow would say, "you know you could change the oil yourself for $15." True, but I can't change my oil myself. I'm not car equipped, and the other day the check engine light came on my dashboard. Before panicking and sending my car to the mechanic I checked, and saw I was well overdue for an oil change. Wanting to get my oil change done quickly (it was a Friday afternoon and I knew I wouldn't be able to book an appointment somewhere with a mechanic until Monday) I came to Jiffy Lube. There are two Jiffy Lubes in Leduc, one in Leduc Common and this one on Sparrow Drive. I came here and got in right away. The girl working was nice, and I appreciate that she didn't try to upsell me on different packages. I've been to some drive-thru oil change places (and non-drive thru places) where they will try to get you to buy a more expensive oil change, or they'll say "you need your air filter replaced because it's too dirty" when it really isn't. She showed me the air filter, and said "you should be good until next time." I appreciate there wasn't a spiel about me needing to buy a new filter. It was fast and friendly. The free wifi was a really nice touch as well. The downside to Jiffy Lube is that it is pricey $75 for an oil change. If you collect airmiles they take that so you can get a few airmiles. If my check engine light hadn't come on then I probably would have booked my oil change somewhere cheaper, but the job got done and I had a relatively painless and stress-free experience.

After close inspection by myself and another mechanic we both found independently that they had spilled oil while filling the engine and no leaks found. As a single mother she was very concerned that it would cost her a lot of money that she doesn't have to spend right now. Would just like to say that not all mechanics are incompetent or crooked like these guys are sorry ladies

We are very pleased with the service at Best Choice Automotive. Family members, as well as us, had…read moreused their services years ago when Gordon was still owner and found them to be excellent, so we went back. Denzel, the new owner of six months, has kept up the good name of this business, and the service was exceptional. We appreciated his friendliness, and we found him to be as honest and transparent as is his policy. Our vehicle was fixed and ready to go faster than estimated, which was a terrific bonus for us. Best Choice is now our go-to automotive repair business. The labour charge is on par with a good automotive service shop. You can likely you can find some cheaper places, however, we've had the experience that you get what you pay for. We experienced that today. One of the issues we had with our vehicle was that we had taken it for an oil change at a chain-business (looking at you, "Mr.") because it was less expensive. We certainly got what we paid for: cheap price and bad service. Unknowing to us, the oil filter that was not put on properly, and over a bit of time a litre of oil leaked out as we were driving around. We can't even imagine the cost if all the oil had had all been lost. We appreciate that inexperienced people learn to change oil and may make mistakes while learning at chain-businesses, but we cannot afford to have their inexperience cause us issues with our car. From now on we will go to Best Choice to have our oil changes done by a trained and qualified automotive service technician. It's likely going to cost more than a chain-business would charge, but to prevent what would have been 1000s of dollars in damage makes it a smart move in our opinion. Car repairs can be costly, and we admittedly have a small income, but better to spend a little more to take care of our car and give up something else from our tight budget than not to have a working vehicle. Also, on the humourous side, Denzel was completely non-judgemental when he repaired the mistake we made and explained what we did wrong on a car repair we did ourselves. Thanks, Denzel -- appreciate that! Best Choice is our top choice, and we highly recommend them.

Upon vehicle servicing, they write up a list of items that need to be looked into with timelines. I've never once felt they tried taking advantage of me or my wife. One time I owned a Honda S2000 that kept having the service light come on. I tool it to every Honda dealership in Edmonton and even with the help of Honda Canada, they were never able to diagnose the problem. I took it to Caliber and they knew it was one of two problems. They tried the least expensive problem first and when that didn't work, they took the head off and found a bad valve. Not a cheap fix because of the work involved but he didn't charge me for the first repair he tried! I've never looked back since and i recommend him to all my friends and family that are in need of a mechanic. Also a heads up to Leah, their service manager! Miss Halla Bassal , please put your name not fake name …read more Iam sorry that this went this far. There must be a huge misunderstanding because of the language barrier. I will tell my side of the story publicly since we stand for our name, Honest Car Clinic. The pastor from our church called me and asked me to help this lady who is a new refugee and she is a member at our church. Her vehicle was in an accident and her appraiser estimated the damage to be very costly to repair it and he thinks it shouldn't be repaired (I have pictures). I called her and she told me where the vehicle is. I went there and checked the vehicle without having access to the keys and without being able to lift the vehicle or part it out for an exact estimate (parting out the front end requires tools and time = money). The only thing that I was able to check is that the frame is not bent. I called her and I told her this is fixable at an affordable price as long as we take off the bumper and we don't get any surprises. She told me that she has a one way insurance, so I suggested to take off the bumper for an exact estimate but she kept asking about the repair cost. I told her around $1500 to replace 2 headlights, front bumper cover, grille and one fender. That's painted and installed!!!! Anything else that comes up after we take it apart, will be extra. She mentioned right after that the seatbelt isn't working anymore so I told her it will be another $500 for a seatbelt, buckel and SRS unit. I ordered a towing and got it towed to my shop. I took the front end parts apart and found the following parts damaged: -the radiator support -AC condenser -rad fans mounts -exhaust -O2 sensor -airbag sensors... etc I called her and told her about all these parts. So the total for entire job will be about $3000 including the towing. She said that she doesn't want to proceed with the repair and she sent a tow truck over without informing me but I still released it to her and she towed it to another place. Her bill came up to $760 (8 hours) and includes the following: -remove bumper cover, rebar, radiator, condenser, fans, headlights, covers, drilling rad support out and the first tow to my shop. I understand that she is new to this country but I can't absorb all this cost while our intention was to help her. Four days later, her brother came by and paid 460$ + $80 for towing. Once again, we went further and beyond to help her out as a newcomer and pull a favor for the church, but I guess lesson learned.
