When we approached the counter, the young lady working there told us they were closed. There was no greeting or explanation offered initially. I explained that I had been told the department closed at 8:00 PM. She responded that they closed at 7:45 PM. Since it was still before that time, I asked to speak with the manager. The night manager, Graham, came over. Unfortunately, his demeanor was unwelcoming and dismissive. He stated that they stop taking orders at 7:45 PM. By the time he spoke with us, it may have been around 7:42 PM, but we were already at the counter before that time. No attempt was made to accommodate us or to clarify the discrepancy in closing times. Instead, the interaction felt rushed and unfriendly. My frustration is not just about the pizza, but about: * Inconsistent information given to customers * Poor communication * Lack of basic customer service and courtesy from management If the pizza department stops taking orders earlier than the posted or communicated closing time, that should be clearly stated and consistently enforced. More importantly, customers should be treated with respect and professionalism. I plan to follow up directly with the store manager, as I believe this experience does not reflect the level of service Fresh by Brookshire's should stand for.

The lane that is open always has someone with a hundred items in their basket forcing people who don't have time to wait to the self checkout which usually is also full and has a wait. The self checkout machines function poorly and don't report half the items you scan. It always calls for an adsociate to "help" who then accuses you of not scanning items. They are horrible in dealing with people and smart alecs. One spoke to me like I was trash and did something wrong. Turns out she was wrong. Tried to double charge me for two items. Then it said two other items weren't scanned in whrn THEY WERE!. Then she refused to come back to release the machine when the same exact thing happened 30 seconds later. Just ignored me. A manager haf to come straighten it out. And then when I left he was speaking to another manager in the corner that was just glaring at me. Maybe if they hired and paid enough people to properly run the registers and checkout lines instead of having kids and trailer park trash standing around accusing people of trying to steal when the problem is their machines, just maybe this wouldn't happen. I told her I would not be coming back and that Brookshires is much cleaner anyway...she said something like so what, it doesn't matter anyway. Absolutely unnacecptable customer service and everyone should boycott Kroger in Palestine Texas. I took note that this location of Brookshire Brothers reminded me of Piggly Wiggly. Their alcohol selection is above average for a grocery store. They sell these cute mini, single - glass bottles of wine in a pack of four. They total up to a full bottle and are perfect for the light weight or someone going on a picnic. Lastly, there's is no self checkout. You've got to go through the line and they could use a few more. But the fresh produce is worth the wait!
