If you are a "boomer" you should drive past this supermarket and go to another store. Management…read morehas apparently given a platform to the staff who are seemingly disgruntled toward "boomers" to express discourtesy toward them both passively and directly, and they do exactly that. Furthermore, they won't allow you to roll a shopping cart out to your vehicle without a "team member" follow you out and standing there behind your back, angry-faced, and likely passive aggressively, or directly aggressively, only to take your cart and probably without simple courtesy. If they want to assist taking out groceries, that is fine, but, if a patron declines that service, stalking them out anyway is inappropriate. When the "team member" is aggressive or seemingly angry for no apparent reason in my mind that is a perceived threat and could be considered assault- particularly to an elderly person. No thank you. for me, I will drive on past Brookshires to another supermarket. This same thing has happened to me more than once at Brookshires in Whitehouse. Too many other options for shopping nearby to have to subject oneself to that. Thank you, but, no thank you.

Where I live in California there are no Aldi's, but there are Trader Joe's which I love as well. I have to tip my hat to Joe's in terms of quality and they do have name brands that are more recognizable. Aldi's is just as relevant, just not as many name brands. It's more designed like a conventional grocery store than TJ's, which is cool. I always look forward to my Aldi's experience and hope they expand into the Central Valley of California.

Also, the vitamin section is very large ---and it would have taken a long time to find what I was looking for. The regular employees were doing the best they could. The manager could have helped me --but she did not bother. She did not want me to be there! I have shopped at Natural Grocers in at least five different cities. There is no happiness or good vibes in this store in Tyler. It is a very unhappy, sad store. This one in Tyler needs to have the corporate office step in to revive the place. I was the only one in the parking lot --about 10 minutes later, there were about three other customers. A very somber place. I did not feel welcome. I felt like I was an inconvenience to them---and they wanted me to leave. I like Natural Grocery a lot...and I do not want the company to close its stores because of disgruntled managers.

I had a very poor experience today with the "educational manager" at this location. I believe she…read moresaid her name was Danielle, but I'm not sure. I can describe her older short white lady with grey/white hair, and she had glasses on. This was my first time going to this store, and will probably be my last due to this "trash customer service experience". I went to this store to find "better for you" nutri grain bars. As I looked through the aisles some of the brands were not very unfamiliar, so I took a photo of a box of bars, to text a photo to a friend to see if they heard / no of this brand. As I was did that the "educational manager" asked me if I was a instacart shopper. I said I was not, then turned back around. She then said I saw you taking photos, and since you are not an instacart shopper you cant. I told here why I was doing it ( to text a photo to a friend to see if they heard / no of this brand ). I then ask is she the manager, she said she is the educational manager. I then ask who is the manager, she then leaves to go get the manager. The manager comes, and just stands there and she follows behind. I then explain what I was doing, and he didnt say anything. The lady then says I got the manager so that things do not escalate. I then say I didnt ask for a manager, you just left and got one. She said I didnt know why you were talking photos, ( even through I told her why ), and I didnt know if you was talking photos and going to another store. She then say as long as you are not doing that its fine. I then say, "that is not what you said". You said I cant take photos because I'm not an instacart shopper, she then changed her story up because of the manager being right there. So in reality this lady was harassing me because she was suppositious of a black man taking photos in the store, once again ( even through I told her why ). This lady should be fired, and educated.
