I understand, and can empathize with overwhelmed staff in food and beverage, that however did not appear to be the case. Indoors the restaurant was mostly empty, less than 25 guests total. Service was not sufficient, tipped prior to receiving any service due to ordering from QR code on table. I'm a 30% tipper most the time, but was reluctant to be generous out the gate due to initial context and unfamiliarity with the process, so only tipped the default 20% for the food. Additional gratuity would be paid on the bar tab if deemed appropriate. Wife ordered and brought drinks to the table. Food was missing avocado garnish and took 10 minutes at least to get upon request. Only person to visit the table was whom I presume was the food runner. Food was not screaming value like others suggest in other reviews. Wings were ~$15 for qty 6, meatball sub was $15, subway is better, and other food was meh at best. Son and daughter both loved the pretzels appetizer however. Son also stated the redfish was good, slightly over seasoned, but at ~$23, not terrible value there (except the avocado previously mentioned). Daughter ordered mocktail, they didn't have the cotton candy topper, made it incorrectly with sprite rather than lemonade, and when asked to make with lemonade, bar tender stated it comes with sprite but remade the drink with lemonade ultimately. We later subsequently validated the description on the menu with lemonade. We were charge full price despite missing the fun factor sugary treat. Didn't complain, but this is something customers don't appreciate. Paid $6 for lemonade with splash of blue.
We are familiar with similar concepts from other cities and we were optimistic that it could be similar. Don't go with expectations of great service and value for a family meal, but rather a cool vibe for a local spot to frequent after work with friends for drinks and some good social interaction. Wish this place the best, and our expectations have been level set. Paying more than $21 gratuity for the service we received is simply not going to be okay for most, and like previously mentioned, I love to reward good service and a great experience, unfortunately this left a lot to be desired for us tonight.
We will be back for a cold beer, games, trivia, live music, dog play, etc., but parking is terrible, be ready take a risky moves pulling in and out, and don't expect a full service experience.
Great concept, execution needs to improve.
