We were visting from Montreal and heard about this place serving giant sandwiches. The photos on social media looked super appealing so were were excited to try this. We came around lunch time on Saturday August 30th 2025 - Upon walking in, I noticed the menu board was written in very small font and had no descriptions so it was kind of hard to figure out what we wanted. I asked the employee for the most popular choice and she recommend the Brooklyn special which had swiss cheese, pastrami, corned beef and prosciutto. This came on a rye bread, with a type of mayonnaise and we added lettuce, tomato and onions. We got only 3 pickles for the huge sandwich which really did not seem like enough. I appreciated how much meat there was but the overall sandwich was lacking in flavor. The "Russian dressing" tasted like regular mayo. I did not see a regular reuben sandwich option on the menu, perhaps this was something you needed to request - but it would have been better to have a toasted bread perhaps or just a different sauce. Portion was huge, pricing was fair, but the overall flavor was boring so that is disappointing.

50 year anniversary and Brooklyn Pickle knows how to treat their customers right! Customer appreciation day with $5 sandwiches and lots of additional 50¢ specials, like pickles, sodas, chips and brownies. The line was long and people kept coming. They opened the doors at exactly 10am and the amazing staff behind the counter never missed a beat. Sandwiches were being carefully made and packaged up with drinks, chips and sweets. The inside was decorated with balloons and anniversary t-shirts were being sold. I came home with a few different sandwiches because I just couldn't choose one! I left off the condiments so it wouldn't be soggy and came home and added some deli mustard to the corned beef and Swiss with lettuce and onions and it was delicious.

While traveling & in town at lunchtime, I was looking for a restaurant with subs, since I live in the South now & cannot find a decent one there. I was very pleased with the turkey sub I selected and had a great cream cheese brownie for dessert. It was my birthday and I was looking for a tasty meal after going for a walk at Onondaga Lake Park. Brooklyn Pickle delivered!

It's been at least 25 years since coming here and I'm so glad I decided to try while I was in town for the week. Decided on a Reuben and clam chowder soup. Both were so delicious and the sandwich was filled with meat just as expected. The service (black woman) was soo helpful and friendly, she made me feel right at home. Def a gem for the town and worth a try.

Not from the Syracuse area but was just in the area for work drove by and saw this deli with a bunch of cars so I assumed it was going to be good and I stopped in. Yes the long was lying but worth the wait and wasn't a slow line. I ended up getting a whole gluten-free roast beef sandwich. Also an antipasto salad and the carrot ginger soup. The antipasto salad was already pre-made but fresh that day which I ended up having for dinner. The carrot ginger soup was a period soup that was freshly made in house Rich delicious flavors. And the star of the show was my gluten-free roast beef sandwich which was technically two sandwiches so I had two lunches out of that. The roast beef was flavorful. I ended up putting lettuce tomato, banana peppers and provolone cheese. I definitely love the pickles that were included as well. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Turkey sandwich. This is only half the sandwich!

This place can move people! At least 10 people working the counter area putting sandwiches together! The meat, cheese, bread, all fresh! There is no better sandwich, anywhere. The soups are fresh and homemade. The whole sandwich is too big for anyone to finish, so I took the other half home. They offer half sandwich's, which is like a normal size sandwich. Wide verity of chips, drinks, home made cookies and desserts. There is seating inside and out. Very comfortable and the rest rooms are clean. Highly recommended

Had to get the BP sweatshirts.

Phenomenal food!…read more We're in Syracuse for a conference, and didn't want to spend a fortune for mediocre food at the conference hotel, so we set out to find a good local spot via Yelp. Su Su Dim Sum came up at the top of the list, so off we went. I ordered a small (pint) of hot and sour soup and lamb with scallions. My wife ordered tangerine beef, and then we ordered red bean paste steamed buns to go for breakfast tomorrow. The soup was thick, full of chunks of tofu, plenty of vegetables, a little less peppery and a little less pungent than we like, but still better than typical Chinese restaurant fare. A bowlful of fried noodles came on the side. A great start! My wife, a veterinarian, suspected that the lamb was actually beef, but that question aside, the lamb dish was delicious, with plenty of meat, chunks of bell pepper, and abundant scallions, in a delicious sauce. The star of the night was the tangerine beef, lightly breaded and perfectly fried, in a savory and slightly sour sauce. A few broccoli florets, a handful of tangerine segments, and a wonderful thick sauce completed the dish perfectly. We packed up the leftovers, collected the steamed buns, and headed back to the hotel. We grabbed some menus to give to fellow conference attendees when they ask where we went out to dinner.

We love dim sum so we looked up the local places that served it & found Su Su. The space is simple & I believe it may have once been a diner at one point in time. The staff tried their best as there were a fair amount of to-go orders & walk-ins. (As I said it was Valentine's Day) We decided to order a few different things. Each one was excellent. The flavors & temperature of each item were fantastic. I really enjoyed the pineapple fried rice. We'll certainly be going back to try a few more things!

Before coming to the store, I called to ask about the price of the food and was quoted one amount. When I arrived, the price was significantly higher. I calmly mentioned that there may have been a misunderstanding regarding the price. Instead of handling the situation professionally, staff went behind the doors, and I overheard them calling me "stupid." Regardless of any pricing confusion, speaking about a customer that way is unacceptable and extremely unprofessional. I understand that misunderstandings can happen, but customers should always be treated with respect. After being a customer for so many years, I never expected to be treated this way. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling embarrassed, disrespected, and unwelcome. I hope the business takes customer service more seriously in the future because no one should be spoken about that way. I proceeded to take my food anyways and then found a piece of plastic bag in my food. so im not sure if they did that intentionally because I spoke up or if it was a mistake. I won't be back there for awhile.

Firstly, the space is amazing! It's bright, open, and inviting with plenty of seating. Secondly, staff are very friendly and helpful! And thirdly, their food is amazing! I'm not vegan but their food is genuinely delicious. We ordered the loaded nachos, chicken parm sandwich, and the sweet sassy molassey sandwich, chocolate mint milkshake and a green tea. The half order of loaded nachos was generous in size and toppings! It was filling without being heavy. All of the ingredients were fresh. Probably one of my top loaded nachos ever. The chicken parm sandwich was also amazing! If I didn't know this was a vegan restaurant, I would not have known that the chicken was not meat. It had the texture of perfectly cooked chicken. The stretch bread was soft, the marinara was warm and perfectly seasoned. 10/10 sandwich. The sweet sassy molassey was also quite good! Very bright, filled with vegetables and deliciously seasoned tofu. Finally, the milkshake! I would have never guessed it was vegan. It was creamy, minty, and chocolatey - like drinking thin mints!
