As another poster previously reported, this is known as "The Dog Store." I have complained endlessly to management and even my city council member. Last time I called the main office they said they knew of the issue but felt powerless to stop the dogs from coming into the store. I would suggest stopping the cashiers from giving treats to the dogs would be a good start. All I really want is a giant A-frame NO DOGS sign in front of the store. This simple strategy has done wonders at Trader Joe.

Pizza $18.99! Lol! You can go get amazing gf pizza just few blocks down! At 1/2 the price! Brooklyn face has gone bananas!!!!

EXTREME ROBBERY! Seriously have you seen these prices?? Wtfff this is robbing people blind!!! Pot stickers at 12.99$ for 7 tiniest. They used to be priced at $6 before and now you have more then doubled!! Pls go get the fresh restaurant gf dumplings at lililoo, at Wei west and etc... at least it's restaurant grade and taste! This is ridiculous! Shame on you Brooklyn fare for taking advantage of this!!

Terrible ethics. They don't put price tags on expensive items like imported cheeses or smoked salmon for example. You only find out that tiny piece of French goat's cheese is $15.99 when they are scanning it at the cash register. Watch the store lie and respond to my comment saying they put a price tag on everything. Not true . Look at the attached photos. The smoked salmon is $18.99

Large local grocery store that Carrie's a variety of items including fresh produce, packaged goods, flowers, etc. Pricing was higher than TJs, but probably goes with the location. Can get a little congested at checkout with small areas to line up. They have shopping carts. Staff was friendly.

The last time I visited this location, it was a another supermarket on its way out the door. The shelves were mostly empty, entire chunks of equipment were ripped out and overall it looked very sad. As such I was happy to see that a new business had taken over this space in the last year, namely Brooklyn Fare. While this store has two other branches, I confess I was not familiar with the chain. However as I walked around the store with its brick walls and dark color tones I found myself comparing it mostly to Brooklyn's Union Market (which I know rather well thanks to regular Park Slope and Brooklyn Heights visits). Highlights for me included a very nice bakery section (I purchased a fig loaf that was amazing), an area with fresh pasta to take home and cook, a beautiful produce section and a really nice selection of health foods (including a wide variety of vegetarian burgers). Their beer selection was also very nice with brands ranging from smaller breweries to bigger ones. The staff was very friendly and checkout was quick. Prices were average for the area (meaning if you're looking at suburb prices it's not exactly a fair comparison). This store is worth peeking your head in an taking a look around even if you are not looking for anything specific.

Little expensive but hands down my favorite store. If you're into fresh produce and an assortment of brands, this is the spot.

There are more cashiers than I've seen in any other Trader Joe's. Accounting for what they knew would be a high-trafficked store, the aisles are wide. Plenty of merchandise. Clean, well-stocked. Same prices I paid when I shopped at Trader Joe's in Roswell GA though -- and it may be my imagination -- the bag of frozen Gyoza Potstickers (something I always buy) seems to have shrunk. The First Avenue bus is right outside. Convenient! I would avoid rush hour and weekends when the store could get super busy. I don't want to struggle with purchases on a crowded bus. But I'll surely be back, mid-week, mid-day.

Unfortunately, the experience was heavily overshadowed by an uncomfortable situation with a security guard who followed us around the store. It was very off-putting and honestly diminished the entire visit. If I hadn't been in a rush, I would have left my items right where I stood and walked out. Security should be focused on individuals who are actually stealing, not hovering over someone carrying a tiny bag where nothing could even be hidden. Because of that experience, it's unlikely I'll return to this location. I may consider trying a different Trader Joe's someday, but this visit left a very sour impression.

We have developed a congenial friendship which was founded on La Fermière yogurts. Emre knows that I price shop so invariably I know when the time is right to buy these delicious yogurts at Eden. I often buy Siggi yogurts as here they are $1.99 each. The ladies - Dolores, Affou, Mamata, Savita, Tofu - at the checkout are friendly, kind and remember customers. A few speak French which I practice with them. Being originally Greek, the Dolmas in the prepared food section, are plump and particularly tasty. It's worth buying a few to take home. Adam looks taciturn but always is kind to me. He is behind the deli counter preparing sandwiches and always gives me a quarter pound of the Jambon de Paris. Miguel and Medina are also here. A loyalty card is worth having and once having accumulated many points I paid the princely sum of $1.61 for a pretty bouquet of roses in assorted colors that cost $11.99. Now that's a steal! Eden Gourmet is the sister supermarket to my beloved sadly closed Eden Gourmet of 14th street. This too is packed to the brim with fresh vegetables, fruits, cheeses, dairy, chicken and meats. A large variety of sparkling waters, frozen entrees, ice creams and assorted temptations are here too. A small bakery has cakes and pastries available. I pop in often to get milk or to see what's new and always to say hello to everyone. I always feel happy coming to Eden Gourmet Marketplace!
