I had the opportunity to visit Happier Grocery during my recent New York visit. It was packed when we stopped in, but it's not a very big place, although, it does have 2 floors. I more went in just browsing but quickly found a few things I liked (and purchased). Lots of healthy/healthier options here from produce, snacks, beverages, flowers, etc. I found myself enjoying the personal items section the longest smelling all the perfume oils. Couldn't leave without getting one. I'd say prices are normal like a Whole Foods. Staff were fine. Note: no public restroom here.

My favorite little slice of exspensive grocery store heaven! So so good very $$$$ but vibey, food is delicious and people there are chic (and probably famous)

This place is a foodie HEAVEN! Offering everything from a fresh beverage to quench your thirst, a wide selection of grab and gos to hold you over during your busy week, to a fresh hot food bar--AND a market stocked up with all your favorite brands downstairs. I fear I'll already need to establish some boundaries with this spot

I'm intrigued by this place because I am basic. I only come here to get the Kuro latte but am intrigued by everything here. They do take forever for their drinks though, so only come if you have time to spare. I will try their milks and broths at some point + when I have more spending money I'll go downstairs to maybe buy something. I also saw an advent calendar that I'm also intrigued by but wish there was an influencer posting about their unboxing so that I can see if it's worth it. Anyway, good drink selection with a ton of random herbs that you can add. I had just tried Erewhon the week prior and had the Hailey Bieber smoothie which I thought was too sweet but maybe I will also try one of their smoothies at some point.

Happier Grocery. The name itself promises joy, and it certainly delivers--well, unless you're looking for joy in your wallet. Maybe if you're a $200,000-a-year influencer who just moved to Tribeca (courtesy of your parents' fund), it won't be such a hit. My friend suggested we check it out, and despite the prices, I really loved it. It's like the Erewhon of New York. You know, the California health market that overwhelms you with $10 organic cauliflower and canned juices you've never heard of (sea moss, anyone?). I've bought sea moss eight times and my skin still isn't glowing--though, to be fair, it looks pretty great for other reasons. At Happy Grocery, I grabbed a green matcha latte with lavender. For around $4-5, it felt like a steal compared to that $10 cauliflower. Everything is laid out beautifully--fresh, organic, and exactly what you'd expect from a bougie Whole Foods on steroids. They have pizza to go, fancy smoothies (Haley Bieber style, but about $3 cheaper), and all kinds of trendy health food. They also have a rewards system, which I signed up for: $9.99 for 10% off their house brand items. Not bad! I'll definitely be back for more coffees, and maybe to try out that Haley Bieber smoothie--or who knows, maybe they'll have a Taylor swift or Justin Timberlake version by then.

Beautifully designed, clean and well lit shop. Nice produce section. Bakery, pizza and lots of prepared foods. Lots of staff. On the higher priced side but a pleasure to shop in.

The most interesting place! Shockingly can rival Erewhon. Price wise, some things are more expensive, some are similar to other stores, and some are lower in cost so very interesting on their end. I notice that they source rare and unique items and I recognized a lot of the brands in beauty and house cleaning as well as beverage wise. The beauty selection is unusually well curated and strong for a grocery store. They carry products that I have seen at Saks and Ssense as well as Whole Foods which is a really good mix. Cleaning supply wise, they carry this DTC brand that I haven't seen in stores so good. Food wise, I didn't notice much strength or difference than other places. I will primarily come here for beauty, beverage, and cleaning needs. I will check back later if the other categories evolve.

Amazing soft serve and protein flavored milks. Everything else is overpriced for what it is. Prepared foods don't taste that great.

Has a proud history of being one of the first organic stores in the area. There's a lot of products including food, personal care, and others. Actually was one of the first all organic grocery stores in the city. It's where to find all kinds of healthy products. There's also a deli section you can get premade and made to order sandwiches. About as fresh as it can be. It's about $5 to get the cheapest sandwiches. The last time here they had the Spicy Seitan Wrap. Also they have a salad bar with all kinds of things you can put into a container. They have proteins including chicken and tempeh. Has quite a lot for a locally owned grocery. It's pretty okay as far as prices, because while it's not always cheap, there's also freshness and quality. The store has tons of items for vegans and vegetarians.

They have a huge selection of great products - from fresh items to specialty and natural foods, so it's always easy to find something interesting or high quality when I stop in. One thing that really stood out recently was that they were open during a blizzard when so many other places were closed. That kind of reliability means a lot to the community and was incredibly appreciated. The staff are consistently kind, attentive, and helpful, which makes shopping there a pleasant experience every time. You can tell they care about their customers and the store. The prices are a bit on the higher end compared to larger grocery stores, but for a local market with such a great selection and such wonderful service, I personally don't mind supporting them. It's the kind of place that's worth having in the neighborhood.

Westerly Market obviously has a good selection of vegan and organic products and their produce,…read moreimo, is a notch above WFoods and other stores but... I agree with other some other reviewers that the people who work there - cashiers aside who are usually very nice - can be rude and aggressive. Somehow many, not all, of the workers/managers could care less about customers versus their task at hand. The result is lack of respect that manifests in intrusive behaviors such as bumping into customers without apologizing, not moving to let customers navigate the narrow aisles and yelling/pointing while directing another worker while customer is literally right there which is akin to invading personal space. The concern is if the store's history and future potential becomes overshadowed by obnoxious behaviors and lose too many customers, over time, to stay afloat. I'm not yet ready to bail but am getting close, unfortunately, esp given alternative markets and/or online options for the same products.

I had never ever walked into this store in my life. I apologized and said I didn't mean not to pay for the smoothie-went immediately to the cashier and paid. Meanwhile the guard and got the owner/ manager who insisted that he caught me on video camera last week! The guard and the owner/ manager continued to harass me and continiued to rant saying they caught me on video camera last week. Insanity!!! It's a little hard to miss, however you can see it once you've entered the shopping center. Family owned and operated since 1987. Think of Whole Foods, much less busy, not a whole lot of rushing (which is a good thing) and you take your time to browse around the smaller store. The quiet and calm was cool, for a Thursday evening, not too shabby. We came across a lot of products we haven't seen before. Great options from a vast majority of gluten free to bring your own containers for pasta to help reduce waste. Plenty of signs to look at and read what we can do to be proactive with our bodies, lifestyle and the environment. I loved knowing this was a smaller scale. We accidentally forgot our reusable bags, however bought a new MOM'S insulated bag. Until next time, we will be back!
