Very large deli with tons of snack and food options. PROS: -beautiful flowers for sale that always look freshly cut -a huge snack and grocery selection, the biggest assortment that I've found available in any of the stores in the surrounding neighborhood -full deli that makes sandwiches with cold cuts, egg sandwiches, and has an assortment of baked goods (muffins, donuts, danishes) -nice park across the street with tables and chairs so you can eat your food conveniently nearby CONS: -expensive, I typically get turkey and one slice of cheese on a croissant and it comes out to 10$ which is very overpriced, there's another deli nearby that I get turkey bacon, three eggs, and avocado on rye bread for 9$, so the 10$ for a basic cold cut sandwich doesn't add up to me -big price difference when you pay cash or card, they have the prices listed for different items and cash is one price, card is approximately 50 cents more expensive (going off memory so could be more or less) Overall, I would recommend this deli because of the ability to get a good sandwich along with any snack you could think of under one roof, but prepare to pay a little extra! read more

Disregard and disrespect at the register on a rainy Sunday morning. Ignoring customers who have braved the weather to shop at their establishment to take a phone delivery order. If you want to offer said additional service, man the store with more personnel to handle the calls. Those of us on the actual line had to endure the cashier's slow pace with the phone customer, and I was told that if I wanted to leave my merchandise and not purchase, that was fine. They have the best quality sliced mangoes I've found anywhere in New York (and I'm Filipino, so I'm real picky about mangoes!), which makes Morgan's Market my favorite bodega in all of Tribeca. I am writing this for the gentleman who handles the flower arrangements and for the flower selection! My grandmother was recently in hospice and as she was a great flower lover, it was important for me to bring some nice bouquets. In addition to being EXTREMELY affordable for the area, the flower guy was really great with helping me put them in a vase I brought and gussying the bouquets up with ribbons and tissue paper, twice. I was extremely shocked with my experience this morning. I went to buy a coffee and saw they had a minimum $5.00 credit charge which is fairly normal. I asked the cashier to add a muffin to my order and he scoffed at me telling me to ask the deli manager. Meanwhile he wasn't busy and the muffins are right next to him. When I went to pay the order came to $4 and change. The cashier told me it wasn't enough. Meanwhile the person in front of me had a similar transaction and it was fine. I ended up leaving the food there and walked out. It was as if the morning cashier didn't like me. Maybe it's because I'm a construction worker. I am not your average girl the thought of flowers to the workplace doesn't quite excite me... I rather have an xbox than a jewelery box... however Morgan's actually makes me want flowers; the minute I pass I find myself walking in slow motion and looking at every bouquet as if I'm about to attack n devour - Mini Daisies, Calalillies, 2 Colored Roses, those branch flowers that look like they have cranberries on the edge.. OK you get the idea I don't know my flowers as well as I do my pizza... but I do know they are always fresh, CHEAP (10 bucks for a dozen 2 toned roses), and gorgeous even to a man's gal like me... As for the market itself, I used to come in here to get breakfast a lot because it wouldn't be unbearably crowded and the food was pretty good. As for prices, ehhh I've been in cheaper stores before.. most of the gum is 2 bucks each. I mean really? Do I have Tribeca Nanny stamped on my face where I don't have to worry about the price of anything? Quit screwing us everyday folk (fine or cheap folk). I guess I'm going to be the first to write an unfavorable review! I've known this place for years, dating back to the 70s! We shopped there a lot, but with different owners, brings a lot of changes and not for the better at times! My mother bought three moldy tangelos (orange-like fruit) from this place and they wouldn't give her, a steady customer for thirteen years, a refund or an exchange. Besides that this place has NO concept of treating longtime customers like that, this place thinks who it is, thinks it's the only game in town when it's not as one can buy fresh fruit from FOUR places within a block or two walk from it: She called at 2:45pm then 3:15pm to complain to the manager, only to be told the manager wasn't IN both times. A that time of day. Really? So the manager doesn't want to talk to anyone as well as not give an exchange or refund for bad fruit they sell. read more

Pretty solid deli and kind of a life-saver. Right across the street from where I work, we run over here when we run out of certain things. I also come when I need some cold medicine, a Red Bull, or some grub. They have a pretty huge selection for what they are. You can find produce, paper products, flowers, a hot deli, fresh coffee, etc. I love their bacon, egg & cheese on a bagel, and their BLTS. Pretty much anything involving bacon. I've been going here for the past 3 years and things have gotten really bad. They line in the mornings are not managed what so ever, making it impossible to grab a quick bite before heading into work. They've raised the prices on almost every item and their customer service has faltered steadily. This morning is the 5th time this month i've walked out of the establishment without any food. It would make so much more sense if the construction people who bring in a laundry list of goods were forced to call ahead, making the morning rush run a bit smoother. What is the point of me calling ahead to wait another 15 minutes upon my arrival? I'll admit I have a bias when it comes to this place. My morning ritual with Morgans dates back to my high school days when I was a starved and tired student at Stuy (don't hate). My favorite lunch combination was a ham and egg on a croissant. I think my unhealthy relationship with coffee also started at that point too. Anyway, I forgot about Morgans when I left for college. Immediately upon graduation, I came back to the neighborhood for work. I was secretly delighted to see that the friendly guy who mans the breakfast counter in the morning remembered me! I made this my go to deli for a few weeks, and while they show flashes of brilliance, they fail too often. First off - 75 cents to add an egg? C'mon. BEC with 2 eggs is $4. I'll live with it if it is consistently good - it isn't. I went there once for a lunch sandwich, they messed up my order, were pissed they had to remake and either they intentionally make terrible sandwiches or this did it to mess with me. The buffet of food looks appetizing but I'm never there long enough to get lunch. They also have some grocery items and fresh fruit. I was a loyal customer, until the day I got embarrassed over 5 cents I was short on ONE TIME!!! The cashier lady yelled out that I was short 5 cents in front of everyone. Very degrading, especially when I go EVERY SINGLE DAY AT LEAST (2) a day! They are the closest deli near my job therefore I have no choice, aside from the cashier and owner who seems to always be bothered to be there, the rest of the staff are great! A great neighborhood resource for decades. They have a surprisingly broad selection of grocery items (especially important since the only only other option is WF), sparkling fresh produce, good deli items and grab-n-go foods. Beautiful flowers all year round (with the sweetest guy who wraps them up)--my quince branches purchased 2 weeks ago are still blooming. The people who run and staff the store are efficient and polite. Just about the only thing they don't carry is fresh meat, but otherwise it's become my go-to market. read more

I need to vent. went to Morgan's this morning ordered French Toast. Usually the guy you give the order to writes it down on a white paper bag that he later puts your food in. this morning he didn't do that, he yelled it out to the cook. paid for my order and proceeded to wait about 10 minuets, I was watching the cook and it didn't look like he had my order on the grill. Morgan's is the only place I will ever go for a breakfast sandwich. I went there all 4 years of high school (sorry stuy haters) and after college am back again! Theirs are the most reasonable you'll find (esp in this area) and for like $1 more you can upgrade to a platter with homefries and toast. I got a sausage and egg platter with an iced coffee for $6. It does get realllly crowded in the mornings, but believe me it's worth the wait. My beloved Morgan's is a happy half block away. In a neighborhood that, other than bars, typically shuts down completely at Midnight, it is an absolute Godsend. The selection is wonderful, the salad bar is top-notch and the hot sandwiches are tasty, with quick and friendly service to boot. At 13.50 for a pack of cigarettes, it's a little pricey, but this is TriBeCa. On the subject of pricey, I must admit that I am a sucker for fresh flowers. The flower selection is gorgeous, and I often find myself walking home with a new beautiful bouquet. The problem, said bouquet has more than not cost me in the $40-50 dollar range. read more
