Yes, it's a bit odd that the ballroom banquet is on the lower level and that the first thing you see when you come inside is a set of stairs leading downstairs. Once you get past this, you'll see that the venue is spacious, clean, and laid out nicely. You can opt for them to have your name in lights reflected on the dance floor, there's a smoke machine, bubble machine and various light options that you can request for the event. There's also a couple of screens that can run videos or photos on a loop during the event. The bar area is separate from the main ballroom which was great considering this was a sweet sixteen party. The DJ was wonderful. He provided a good selection of songs that got the guests dancing the whole time. The food was pretty good. It was served buffet style and there were plenty for all the guests. I wished they kept the food out all night instead of quickly putting it away after an hour. We had a few guests that arrived very late and came after the food was already packed away. The wait staff was nice enough to make up a plate for them when we asked. The pricing structure for the event was a bit confusing. Make sure to do your research and ask questions. Otherwise, you might get sticker shock from all the extra add-on options (linens, nicer chairs, balloon decorations, champagne toast, etc.) that can quickly inflate the overall price. We all had a great time at the party. Yes, there were some minor glitches and the event could have run smoother, but the main thing is that the guests had a good time and my little cousin thought the night was a success.

The staff was very professional yet made everyone feel at home. The drinks were good. The food was partly provided by the party host and served by the venue. There were two nice clean (slightly small) bathrooms with a shared sink. It's July so the weather outside was hot. Inside, there was plenty of air conditioning in the back room (by the dance floor) with less up front. Unlike large event spaces in Manhattan, this one had a more cozy intimate atmosphere. The location is accessible by subway and car. Alternate side street parking is available, depending on when you go - it can be a little difficult finding a free parking spot.

Blessed Sacrament Girl Scout Troops 2389/2568/2835 were happy to come together, not just to celebrate the Daisies/Brownies/Juniors/Cadettes/Seniors who were bridging to the next level in Girl Scouts, but we also had the privilege to celebrate four young ladies who were bridging from Ambassadors to Adults - effectively graduating from our Girl Scouting Program under Girl Scouts of Greater New York. These young ladies have dedicated up to 13 years to Girl Scouting and have been friends/sisters to each other through the majority of this journey. We consider these graduating girls our "CORE" - our troops' Girl Scouting program was built upon their ongoing participation and they have set a wonderful example for their Girl Scout Sisters coming up behind them - doing their "best to be honest and fair, friendly and helpful, considerate and caring, courageous and strong, and responsible for what I say and do, and to respect myself and others, respect authority, use resources wisely, make the world a better place, and be a sister to every Girl Scout." just as the Girl Scout Law deems they should The decorations were IMPECCABLE and BEAUTIFULLY DONE - far exceeding our expectations! Nora really brought the vision together, we just had to add a few personal touches when we arrived (a banner and a picture addition to the table centerpieces). It was really an elegant and elevated affair - just what we were looking for! Nora and the staff at Studio 17 Bushwick treated all of our guests with respect and professionalism second to none. Nora was extremely responsive to all questions and requests - I was happy to have a partner like her in planning this event. She really matched my own level of organization which was super helpful. Contract signing and payment schedule was super easy. And I received my security deposit back almost immediately after our event was over. The next time I need a small yet elegant event space - I will definitely look to Studio 17 as a FIRST CHOICE!
