Blessed Sacrament Girl Scout Troops 2389/2568/2835 were happy to come together, not just to celebrate the Daisies/Brownies/Juniors/Cadettes/Seniors who were bridging to the next level in Girl Scouts, but we also had the privilege to celebrate four young ladies who were bridging from Ambassadors to Adults - effectively graduating from our Girl Scouting Program under Girl Scouts of Greater New York. These young ladies have dedicated up to 13 years to Girl Scouting and have been friends/sisters to each other through the majority of this journey. We consider these graduating girls our "CORE" - our troops' Girl Scouting program was built upon their ongoing participation and they have set a wonderful example for their Girl Scout Sisters coming up behind them - doing their "best to be honest and fair, friendly and helpful, considerate and caring, courageous and strong, and responsible for what I say and do, and to respect myself and others, respect authority, use resources wisely, make the world a better place, and be a sister to every Girl Scout." just as the Girl Scout Law deems they should The decorations were IMPECCABLE and BEAUTIFULLY DONE - far exceeding our expectations! Nora really brought the vision together, we just had to add a few personal touches when we arrived (a banner and a picture addition to the table centerpieces). It was really an elegant and elevated affair - just what we were looking for! Nora and the staff at Studio 17 Bushwick treated all of our guests with respect and professionalism second to none. Nora was extremely responsive to all questions and requests - I was happy to have a partner like her in planning this event. She really matched my own level of organization which was super helpful. Contract signing and payment schedule was super easy. And I received my security deposit back almost immediately after our event was over. My Fiance and I had our baby shower in November 2020 during Covid. This venue was soooooo beautiful. I had an amazing experience. It is perfect for close friends and family. Ms. Nora was so kind and helpful throughout my entire experience. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. If any of you are like me and not skilled with decorating, Ms Nora has your back ! Her skills exceeded my fiancé and I expectations. The staff was extremely kind and outgoing. This venue followed all the cover guidelines and took everyones temperature and name at the door (guest list).My guest had a great time! Words cannot express how much of a great experience it was hosting my engagement party at Studio 17 Bushwick. Nora, the venue manager is absolutely amazing! I was a bit nervous at first planning my first event, but Nora really helped ease a lot of the anxiety that I had. My fiancé and I was able to request a quote and got a response within 24 hours. From that point we immediately scheduled a viewing of the location, and Nora was there to walk us through everything from different lighting options to a variety of tablecloths, etc. We were amazed with the venue and immediately booked. Studio 17 is great for intimate events. We hosted our engagement party here for 40 people and turned out better than I imagined. Nora is extremely detailed and organized. She has a great eye for decor, and really helped us chose some great ideas for our party. She's also really easy to work with. Most of my communication with her was via email, and I was still able to get my vision through to her clearly. Also, the prices are really unbeatable. Nora helped me plan my baby shower and made the experience AMAZING! She took away SO much stress from the decor, to budgeting and being so willing to work with me around my needs and concerns. Not to mention the space is beautiful! You can also make personal touches to the decor which is a bonus. I read the negative reviews and my experience was completely opposite. She was very flexible with my payments and returned my deposit in the same form I gave it in. I was late on a lot of things and this shower was last minute (planned in 2 weeks). Her flexibility was SO appreciated. 10/10 would recommend. You will not regret it! read more

I celebrated my engagement party here with my fiancé in November 2018. Loved the space and details. I would definitely recommend this place. Nora was awesome and she was very helpful towards my ideas and helping me to bring it to real life. Anything I needed I was able to email or text them and a response was given right away. I gave it my own look as well and she was encouraging about it. Was also a bit nervous about my amount of ppl but it worked out. The staff is very friendly and easy going. I found this lovely place on the internet, and I'm so thankful I did. First of all let me start with Nora, she is truly amazing and very professional at all times. Any time we had questions or concerns she was readily available to assist us. Second of all the place was nice and quaint, very clean too. Fast forward to the day of the party, I was rushing to get there and I called Nora and told her I was stressed because the cake was arriving early and I wouldn't be there on time, Nora said relax I'm here and I will accept the cake. She really put me at ease during my stressful moment. We arrived at the venue and she welcomed us in, and allowed us to set up our things, and the entire time she offered to help us with everything. The place was decorated beautifully, just as we envisioned it. I couldn't thank Nora enough for the amazing decorating job that was done and for everything she did, she went above and beyond for us. One star was given because you have to give it 1 to right a review if I could I would rate it a -Star !!!!!! The venue is beautiful , decorated nicely and includes everything needed at an affordable rate for an intimate event !! However you must beware of the disgusting costumer service. NORA is a condescending employee/manager/ or possible owner. It appears she has multiple personality disorder lol no one really knows what her title is with this venue , however that neither here nor there let's get in to her disrespectful condescending behavior. NORA requested that a deposit be paid before a contract for the venue was created . I submitted the deposit and upon making the contract there were disagreements to the payment schedule and when I voiced my opinion during the creation of the contract she became very nasty with speaking to me and would not proceed with the creation of the contract after I agreed to the payment schedule . She was very rude. The deposit was submitted via zelle pay and she would not return it that way. She wanted account information to do an electronic transfer (she cannot be trusted with this information) she's EVIL ! Our event was for a bridal shower! And it was disgusting that the bride herself had to get involved and pick up the check and when she arrived was treated very poorly ! Nora did not have the check created , upon her arrival . She also slammed the door in her face. It was very very terrible. She took over an hour to crest the check for the bride and then became nasty with her and began recording her and followed her outside of the venue ! DO NOT BOOK THIS VENUE FOR ANY EVENT ! Studio 17 Bushwick was one of the best choices we made for our pre-wedding celebration/Haaldi. The space is perfect for a 30-50 guest dinner/cocktail event and even for a little dancing ;). It offers an amazing a disco ball and so many other amenities and options. Studio 17 offers their own decor, set up crew, tables, chairs, utensils etc and they allow you to pick and choose what you would like, giving you enough space to be creative within your budget. They also allow food from outside. Woooohooooo!!! Speaking from experience, it's very difficult to find venues that are so accommodating to your needs. However, the best part of the whole deal is Nora. Nora is an angel who will make sure your event runs smoothly. Our event would surely have crashed and burned without her. She helped us with stage decor, food service, set up and so so many things. Her background makes decorating the event venue a breeze. We will forever be grateful to her. DO NOT BOOK THIS VENUE! This studio has managed to abuse their clients during the COVID pandemic. In not only keeping the monthly deposits made but also making up false accusations and unexpressed comments. We were not in the wrong in requesting a refund as it was the venues responsibility to maintain up-to- date information as provided by the DOH. Instead, additional down payments were made without knowledge of the changes, and this is where the issue arises. The new requirement for "all attendees must be vaccinated" was placed on August 17th, but was not told to us until the evening of Sept 9, 2021, after two more down-payment were made, a total of 3 down-payment. Nora, the event manager, gave us two illegal options in which we turned down, and then she continued to make up her own allegations and excuses as to why we were not entitled to a refund. The venue is both unprofessional and willing to lie to keep their down-payment/deposits. I will also add, Nora is extremely rude and careless. She will take months to acknowledge your problems and then give you the middle finger when requesting assistance. In the end, she stopped responding to our email as we requested to have a certain statement added to a contract she wanted us to sign that stated that the refund. A refund was never given to us even after she stated she would provide it to us. read more

Studio 17 was an excellent choice for an intimate event. Last week, I selected the location to hold the repass (reception) for my grandmothers funeral and I'm definitely glad I did. The venue typically specializes in events like baby showers, engagement, and birthday parties but Nora was definitely able to deliver. Initially I was skeptical... how do you decorate for a repass? How can you walk the fine line of celebrating someone's life but also acknowledging their death. Nora did an excellent job with the tasteful decor. My grandmother's favorite color was illuminated through out the venue. We were able to showcase a personalized message on the wall. We utilized the projector screen to play a video tribute to the departed. We incorporated floral arrangements from the service. It was perfect. Nora was flexible with the timing, allowing our caterer time prior to the start of our event to set up. I was really impressed with what was able to be done in a week's time, in a venue three blocks from my grandmother's lifelong home no less. The venue was the perfect size for accommodating our guests. They provided all the decorations, tables and chairs, handled the setup and the clean up. Only giving this a 1 star because 0 isn't an option, the place was good for a small event but the owner LORD. I say this with ALL the kindness in my heart, Nora if you're reading this which I'm sure you are......you need help, like seriously consider getting a psychiatric evaluation done, because the manner in which you behave and treat people is completely disgusting. It's far beyond childish, it's straight up disgusting. The reviews written for this venue are no joke, I wish I would've considered this prior to booking but we decided to give this place a shot because honestly most of the reviews were fair, but the "bad" reviews all basically state the same. THE PROBLEM IS THE MICROMANAGING-OWNER WHO DOESNT UNDERSTAND WHAT IT MEANS TO RENT A SPACE/ RENT A VENUE OUT. Although Nora was comfortably serving herself PLATES of OUR food during our event, moving in & out of the venue during the event, adjusting lights & randomly taking pictures of the decor THE MAIN DISAPPOINTMENT OF THE NIGHT WAS WHEN SHE DECIDED OUR MUSIC WAS TOO LOUD FOR HER SPEAKERS. An 1hr40mins before our scheduled end time. I would like to also mention the fact that this was the same "loud" volume that was being played the entire time, since 3pm (the start of the event). Weird. If the volume was an issue it would've been brought up right away, right? As a business owner if there's an issue or something you aren't comfortable with, you have the right to notify the person who rented the space and make them aware of the situation YOU DO NOT GO UP TO THE DJ AND HIT HIS TABLE WHERE ALL HIS EQUIPMENT IS LOCATED , LIKE A CHILD. That's just common sense. Not only is it common sense, as a human being you should know to have respect for other people & their property. The DJ was in complete shock, not only were we all embarrassed in front of our guest, we also lost out on the DJ who felt super uncomfortable from the situation and decided he was going to leave right after this occurred. It was just genuinely a shocking experience trying to speak to Nora. She was completely SPIRALING, in the middle of our conversation she got visibly upset & hit the bathroom door before locking herself inside of the bathroom itself. This scared me initially because I immediately thought to myself "wow this lady is a psycho" but then angered me because THIS IS A WOMAN WELL IN AGE. A FULL GROWN "ADULT" WOMAN. A "grown" woman who is a "business owner" or manager or whatever her title is isn't supposed to act like that. You're the face of the venue, what YOU DO MATTERS/ HOW YOU REACT MATTERS. Just because you don't have the answers to valid points someone is bringing up doesn't mean you get angry hit something and go hide. That is just weird, unprofessional, childish and mostly just pitiful. After waiting about 5 minutes for Nora to come out of the bathroom, I tried initiating another conversation but trying to speak to her after was another fail. After all that hell our guest were very uncomfortable and began to leave. The whole night was ruined. All I wanted from Nora was an apology to the birthday girl because she literally ruined a beautiful night for her and also an apology to our DJ , I just wanted her to acknowledge her mistake, acknowledge that there was no reason what so ever to treat him in the manner she did but apparently that was too much for Nora and her narcissism. Her reason behind her actions were "I can do that, this is my venue". Wtf kind of answer is that ? All in all, Nora was just very unprofessional & irrational in the end. I will never ever in my right mind book this venue again and I suggest no one else waste their money here unless you want to deal with a dissociative psycho at the end. Prior to the event the booking was okay, prices were okay and even Nora was okay but something switches in her. Please be careful. SO AGAIN NORA IF YOURE READING THIS PLEASE GET PSYCHOLOGICAL HELP. Let me start by saying this venue is an ideal place for a small gathering , can hold maybe 30 people comfortably , and you can make something really beautiful here , but that can only happen if you don't wanna already put a bullet through your brains because of the owner of the venue !!!!! She is the most difficult person to work with . You would think because your paying for the venue she would be pleasant , HA! The day I came to look at the venue she gave a flat rate for the venue , because I would be providing my own food , decorations etc. all she is really Providing is a venue , plates , utensils and glasses which I paid extra for btw. She then told me I have to pay extra 35 dollars per extra person when I told her about my guest list . She argued with me and told me to find some where else and this is after I paid for everything ..... moving on from that... the day of the event she put my guests outside in the cold and the rain so that she can take pictures for of the venue that I decorated !!!! My guess stood outside 10 minutes while she took pictures of every angle . I got upset and brought my guess in and she has the nerve to argue with me and said it's her venue and she can do what she want... she said that she has the right to do that because my decorator came Late ... which I don't get because we never set a time for my decorator .... I am paying for every single second... minute... hour I am in this venue so why should it Matter what time my decorator got here. Oh let me not forget that she put my photographer's items on the floor , this includes his coat and his camera bag with important items In it because she wanted to take another picture while the shower was going on... I will never use this place again or recommend it because I felt like I was treated like garbage and that my money wasn't worth anything! If you are looking for a intimate venue this is the place for you. Nora (the manager) was absolutely great. She was very communicative and worked with us being that we only had two months to plan and execute. From contract signing to event day, it was such a smooth process. We loved Marg!, which was our bartender for our party. She was fun, cool and vibed with us and I will be requesting her for future events I would absolutely recommend this venue and will definitely be doing more events here. THANK YOU NORA! Amazing, Outstanding and Unforgettable! The list can go on and on about this quaint, modern venue. I was so happy to stumble across Studio 17 in less than 1 month to the date I needed which was Thanksgiving Day. My boyfriend and I didnt keep in mind that we both have large families and could not exclude anyone, with that being said our apartment would absouloutly not be able to host 40 plus guest comfortably. Nora was amazing in responding to my email and reaching out to me right away. I already reached out and saw several neighboring venues but non of them had the feel I wanted for hosting my first Thanksgiving dinner but when I walked into this venue I felt a sigh of relief that "this was the one!" I was so ecstatic! There was no need to look any further. I could give you more details on the venue particulars but I dont want to spoil the ah ha moment for you lol! The dinner was a huge success. I am advising anyone even thinking to book this venue NOT to do it!! Save yourself the headache. I've never in my entire life experienced anyone like Nora. Was planning to book this space for an event but decided to cancel after finding a better venue. When inquired about the refund, she was very nasty. The deposit was made via. Zelle. However, she told me she could not return it in that same form. The options were to transfer bank to bank(would have to provide bank info) and her mailing a paper check. I did not feel comfortable with either. Didn't want to give her my account info nor my mailing address as she seems to be a very malicious person. On March 14 I asked her when can I pick the check up. She stated that I wouldn't be able to get it until the following week. She told me I had to come March 21 even though she's open 6 days a week. We agreed that I will stop by at 3pm. The day before, I emailed her asking if I'm still good to stop by tomorrow to pick up the check. she responded by saying "as long as you don't have a fever or covid 19 symptoms. We'll do social distancing" I politely responded "thanks for confirming and no I do not." I was under the impression when I get there, the check will be ready and I can just pick it up and leave. Well I thought wrong. When I arrived at 2:58pm there was a gentleman also picking up his check. He had to cancel his event that was suppose to take place that day but had to cancel due to coronavirus. He was upset because she keep $350 for "administrative fees" even though he had to cancel by law. After they were done at about 3:30pm. I asked her to bring my check to the door so I can leave. She told me she had to write the check and also draft up a cancelation form. Keep in mind, she knew I was coming a week ago. Also, never signed a contract. I asked if she could bring it to the door as I will wait outside due to covid and her suggesting "social distancing" she then let her door go in my face. I decided to just go in and sign whatever to get my check to leave. When I got in, she said this is going to take sometime for me to draft up the document. My friend is the one who sent the money so she needed her to give me consent. She emailed my friend a very inappropriate cancellation email. I could not believe what she wrote. I called my friend to tell her to respond to the email ASAP so I can get the check and leave. I told my friend "this is crazy and I didn't want it to get any crazier so please just hurry and respond to the email. Nora took out her cell phone out and began to record me talking on the phone with my friend. Her reason for recording me was because she was protecting herself. I asked her several times to just please check her email as my friend responded so she can write the check and I can leave. She continued to record me. If she found me as a threat, she would have rushed to check for the email and wrote the check so I can leave. Instead she recorded me for about 10 minutes. Clearly I wasn't a threat. Finally she wrote the check. I took the check and she continued to record me as I was walking out of her venue. She left out her venue and followed me to my car all while recording me while I was in my car. She was also recording my son who was also sitting In the car. Nora is a nightmare and I am warning everyone to stay away from her. I have all videos and emails for anyone that will like to see. I will gladly send them to anyone. The Studio 17 event space was AMAZING! The great service began as early as the email inquiries about the space. The planning communication in the beginning increased my confidence that the event planning staff would be hands on and involved and intentional about the overall successful outcome of the event. The array of colors , decorations, table and chair placements, decoration ideas, and more, made me feel not only supported but that the event would turn out even better than I imagined. Although we were working with a relatively short time frame, the Studio 17 event staff was sure to make us know that everything would be okay and that it would be a memorable occasion. Planning an event post COVID-19 was not easy being that guest arrival considerations and finical obligations are all very real aspects to consider. Working with Nora and having my wedding at Studio 17 Bushwick was truly a seamless and wonderful process. Within a couple days of my initial inquiry, my husband and I were sitting in the venue and planning out the logistics. Nora happily took a few hours to mull over ALL of the details, as we were planning a last minute wedding, and it was critical for me to make sure everything was going to be executed perfectly. We had a personalized wedding package made for us with everything that we could possibly need and then some, which allowed us to stay in our budget while at the same time include gorgeous extras like the greek columns and manzanita trees. After our initial meeting, we walked away having put down a deposit and signed the event contract. It was such a relief for us that everything was taken care of quickly and with such attention to detail. In the few short weeks from signing the contract to the date of our wedding, Nora proved to be attentive, organized, and genuine in all of her communications regarding our big day. Although the venue handles multiple events in a week, and often in a day, Nora never confused the details of my wedding with another event. She remembered everything and worked closely with me to ensure that every step of the planning process was taken care of. On top of that, Nora generously expedited the venue's ordering of wine red sashes so that we could stick to our color scheme of red and silver, which is just one example of her willingness to go above and beyond for her clients. The only criticisms I have are of the bartender we had on our wedding night and that the space set up isn't as ideal for weddings as I had hoped. The bartender we had was not knowledgeable about liquor and was pouring the wrong drinks for my guests. I brought this up to Nora after the wedding and she responded professionally. Nora totally understood, apologized, and confirmed that she would speak to him about this so that it isn't an issue at future events. With the space being small, there isn't much room for guests to leave coats or bags that isn't in the way. This made it difficult for my friends and I to keep boxes and bags out of sight for when we would clean up after the event. Additionally, if you are booking a wedding and plan on having a proper ceremony with the wedding party procession down the aisle, you need to think this through carefully. I made the mistake of getting ready in the venue and not being able to "surprise" my guests because there is only one exit, so everyone saw me walking from the bathroom to line up by the front door to go down the aisle, which was funny and kind of awkward. These were minor issues in the grand scheme of things, and overall my experience with Studio 17 is overwhelmingly positive. My husband and I had a beautiful, intimate, and affordable wedding that was just absolutely perfect. We could not have been happier with the accommodations that we received at Studio 17! I had to find a local venue in a short period of time for my mothers bridal shower/bachelorette party, for 15-30 women. Studio 17 Bushwick exceeded all expectations with price and space. I organized my very first event in this space. Working with Nora the manager was a breeze, she is a top notch professional through and through. She covers everything with you up front and printed in contract. From permits, licenses, time frames, design, music options, equipment options, even redesigning layouts. She made things easy and fun. With her background in art, she knows how to keep great attention to the right details. Paul our bartender part of the package chosen was a gem, he was clean and sweet, and made the drinks how everyone liked them. My family and friends love the space and better yet love the LOCATION!! Many of us grew up in the neighborhood and some have moved back to the neighborhood so finding 1780 broadway in Brooklyn was a breeze. The venue is located directly to the buses and trains. There is also a supermarket across the street if you forget ice like I did, lol. I know we will be back to Studio 17 Bushwick for another event. I love a local business I can stand behind. read more

Studio 17 Bushwick was an amazing place to have my Daughter's Baby Shower. From the beginning communication with Manager, Nora, was great. This is an all-inclusive event space so everything was provided chairs, tables, buffet, decor, lighting, sound system, I mean everything! I worked with Nora on my theme and colors and she made some great suggestions that made my event beautiful. Everyone commented on how beautiful everything looked which made me very happy. All I brought were my own personal touches such as favors, food & drink. The buffet table was set, all I had to do is drop my trays in and light the warmers, which were also provided. If you just want to walk into your event and have everything done, this is the place. The rate is very reasonable compared to if you had to do everything yourself. The staff I hired through the venue that worked the event were great, they cleaned tables when guests were done, they served drinks, opened doors for guests, they were super nice, it was a nice touch. I will definitely rent this venue again for future functions. Thank you Nora for making my Daughter's Baby Shower beautiful and elegant!!! She took the time to go over Many different options & showed us various decor options & color setups. The price is right for all the work that was put in. Don't let the storefront fool you, this newly renovated space doesn't only have clean walls, nice hardwood floors and not to mention LOVELY lighting, but an amazing owner. Amazing experience renting out this venue for my annual birthday party. Nora the manager was amazing to work with, Extremely helpful and has tons of creative input. She is very hands on to make sure everything runs smoothly. Venue was great size, and had so many great amenities such as luxurious looking chairs and couches, bar stools, half kitchen in the back perfect for serving food and drinks, different color lighting, clothes rack...basically anything one could use when throwing an event.
