The search for a location was disheartening and filled with over-luxurious locations that over charge you for any little addition and amenities. I almost gave up. What made Kinfolk unique and special is the owners. Mrs. Williams was accommodating, flexible, understanding, responsive, and very attentive. We were able to fully customize our experience to our liking rather than to fit it around some owner's overly restrictive and expensive idea of a special occasion. Not everyone is looking for some giant space for their baby shower. It is supposed to be an intimate affair after all. And more importantly, it's your day not theirs. The location is new, clean, beautiful and well maintained. It has a beautiful bathroom, outdoor space, kitchen area, wifi and a sound system is available for an additional fee. Blessed Sacrament Girl Scout Troops 2389/2568/2835 were happy to come together, not just to celebrate the Daisies/Brownies/Juniors/Cadettes/Seniors who were bridging to the next level in Girl Scouts, but we also had the privilege to celebrate four young ladies who were bridging from Ambassadors to Adults - effectively graduating from our Girl Scouting Program under Girl Scouts of Greater New York. These young ladies have dedicated up to 13 years to Girl Scouting and have been friends/sisters to each other through the majority of this journey. We consider these graduating girls our "CORE" - our troops' Girl Scouting program was built upon their ongoing participation and they have set a wonderful example for their Girl Scout Sisters coming up behind them - doing their "best to be honest and fair, friendly and helpful, considerate and caring, courageous and strong, and responsible for what I say and do, and to respect myself and others, respect authority, use resources wisely, make the world a better place, and be a sister to every Girl Scout." just as the Girl Scout Law deems they should The decorations were IMPECCABLE and BEAUTIFULLY DONE - far exceeding our expectations! Nora really brought the vision together, we just had to add a few personal touches when we arrived (a banner and a picture addition to the table centerpieces). It was really an elegant and elevated affair - just what we were looking for! Nora and the staff at Studio 17 Bushwick treated all of our guests with respect and professionalism second to none. Nora was extremely responsive to all questions and requests - I was happy to have a partner like her in planning this event. She really matched my own level of organization which was super helpful. Contract signing and payment schedule was super easy. And I received my security deposit back almost immediately after our event was over. He wasn't helpful, had an attitude, and took beer before we could even offer it. At the end of the night everyone is trying to clean up and pack up. I reached out to the owner letting him know what the accusations were. He apologized and said he would speak with the individual. I reached out again asking if he has security cameras on the premises but he did not respond. If you decide to have an event here, be careful and watch your valuables carefully.

We were also allowed to set up the night before (if there are no events happening in which case we lucked out) and that helped tremendously and are very grateful they let us do that. The space was beautiful, the scenery amazing, and the overall vibe was definitely on point. What stood out the most, however, was the attentiveness and professionalism of your security staff and a gentleman I believe to be the manager or possibly the owner--Hasim or Hassan. A member of our party was not feeling well, and the staff responded immediately and with genuine concern. Security approached quickly, checked in, and asked whether an ambulance was needed. These are standard procedures, but as we all know, they aren't always handled so smoothly. The manager came over shortly after, took her vitals, brought water and ice, and even moved a large commercial fan to help her cool down. He returned with candy and remained attentive throughout--kind, responsive, and truly caring. It didn't feel like he was doing it out of obligation, but from a place of genuine concern. It's easy to overlook these moments, but I wanted to say thank you. Your team turned what could have been a scary situation into a moment that highlighted compassion and professionalism.
