The moment we walked in, my daughter's face lit up as you can see from the video! The space is stunning - bright and elegant even before adding decor. I knew right away this was our place. I cancelled the other venue immediately. It was the best decision I made in the entire planning process. Charlie, the venue manager, was awesome. He assured me I didn't need to overspend to create something magical. He supported me from start to finish, responded to every concern, offered creative solutions, and genuinely cared about us having a meaningful, joyful event. After the bat mitzvah, when I needed help navigating some vendor issues, he stepped up without hesitation. That level of support was priceless. Our guests were taken aback by how gorgeous the room looked and how special the atmosphere felt. If you're looking for a breathtaking space, flexible and wonderful people to work with, and a venue that truly cares about your event, Lights on Kent is it. I am beyond grateful to them for helping make my daughter's bat mitzvah feel as beautiful and special as it could. Staff assisted with putting out the food for the guests and drinks into the coolers. It took some maneuvering but it worked out. Especially as people gradually drifted outside. I did notice an outdoor space but it was chilly and rainy. I think the clean up process went well. Initially the staff began to clean up around us when we had 1.5 hours left. But after seeing that we were still enjoying ourselves they slowed a bit and even helped with the request to raise the music. It was a kind gesture and they helped coordinating leftover food and drinks that needed to leave with us. I would suggest checking them out. Again for a smaller sized group.

These young ladies have dedicated up to 13 years to Girl Scouting and have been friends/sisters to each other through the majority of this journey. We consider these graduating girls our "CORE" - our troops' Girl Scouting program was built upon their ongoing participation and they have set a wonderful example for their Girl Scout Sisters coming up behind them - doing their "best to be honest and fair, friendly and helpful, considerate and caring, courageous and strong, and responsible for what I say and do, and to respect myself and others, respect authority, use resources wisely, make the world a better place, and be a sister to every Girl Scout." just as the Girl Scout Law deems they should The decorations were IMPECCABLE and BEAUTIFULLY DONE - far exceeding our expectations! Nora really brought the vision together, we just had to add a few personal touches when we arrived (a banner and a picture addition to the table centerpieces). It was really an elegant and elevated affair - just what we were looking for! Nora and the staff at Studio 17 Bushwick treated all of our guests with respect and professionalism second to none. Nora was extremely responsive to all questions and requests - I was happy to have a partner like her in planning this event. She really matched my own level of organization which was super helpful. Contract signing and payment schedule was super easy. And I received my security deposit back almost immediately after our event was over.
