I was hoping for the best but should've known from the reviews to expect the worst. And that's what I received Brooklyn Blooms does a bait and switch without any calls and does not create comparable bouquets for the amount of money spent even if flowers aren't in season or accessible. I didn't received anything close to what was advertised on their website. I've included what I ordered vs what I recieved. And I'll also include the 5 day old farmer's market bouquet I bought myself for 18.00 as a comparison. The delivery was on time but I would never trust them with a flower selection, design again. Possibly the worst customer service experience I have ever had. I placed a birthday flower order online with Brooklyn Blooms on behalf of my company. I later called to adjust the note accompanying the arrangement and, to avoid any confusion, spelled the wording letter by letter to their representative. They still prepared it incorrectly. The arrangement was already two days late, despite being intended for a birthday, and we received no notification about the delay. Once I discovered the incorrect note, I immediately emailed Brooklyn Blooms explicitly instructing them not to deliver the arrangement under any circumstances and requesting that the order be canceled and refunded. From there, what should have been a very simple customer service issue became genuinely absurd. Brooklyn Blooms maintained that the flowers were delivered and the order was fulfilled. I disputed that because, to my knowledge, the intended recipient never received the flowers. Rather than resolving that discrepancy or providing satisfactory proof that the recipient actually received them, I was accused of making "unfounded accusations," characterized as a bully, and effectively called a liar for disputing their version of events. At one point, because I had placed the order under my boss's name rather than my own, I was also told, in substance, that I somehow was not involved in the situation -- despite being the person who placed the order, called to amend it, communicated with their staff, and was handling the entire matter on behalf of my company. So, to recap: I placed an order for a birthday. It was delayed by two days without notice. I called and spelled an amended note letter by letter, and it was still prepared incorrectly. I explicitly instructed them not to deliver it. The intended recipient did not receive the flowers as far as I am aware. And when I challenged Brooklyn Blooms' claim that the order had nevertheless been successfully delivered and fulfilled, the conversation became about my supposed behavior rather than resolving the actual problem. Their written response even included the line: "Your feelings are yours and valid; your behavior, however, was not." This was in response to a customer asking why a time-sensitive order was delayed, incorrectly prepared, allegedly delivered despite a cancellation request, and not refunded. If Brooklyn Blooms has verifiable proof that the intended recipient received this order, they are welcome to provide it. Until then, calling my complaint "unfounded" does not magically resolve it. I would never trust Brooklyn Blooms with another birthday, client gift, important occasion, or time-sensitive delivery. Mistakes happen. What made this experience extraordinary was how the business chose to handle those mistakes once they were raised. One star only because zero isn't an option. read more

Good luck to you if you make an order "and they have time for you" If they don't, they dump anything off and then justify their actions with meandering excuses about "clarifying notes" (from a picture?!) A business incapable of handling being busy and if you are one of the unlucky who slap-dashed their way through the order, they will send the garbage pictured below; I could not try to make a worse arrangement from my city garden. As a former Set Designer who worked my way up as a Set Decorator who made at least 5 arrangements per room, I can tell you that, armed with a bucket of blooms and a bucket of greens, I could put together Tropical, Sophisticated or wild and natural arrangements and each would take no more than 10 minutes so this order was particularly mortifying for me. Even worse, the receiver of our arrangement from Brooklyn Blooms was for a Fashion Influencer's birthday who also received multiple flower arrangements from various Designers so the contrast in quality was shockingly embarrassing. WHY am I writing this review 2 months after this scam? I JUST received a written response on Google Reviews from the Owner LaParis Phillips. Mind you, when I telephoned her shop to complain, she never admitted any wrongdoing. Instead, she babbled on and on and on, interrupting me, with excuses. Her main reason for 'MY misunderstanding' was that I (being at fault here, not her) 1. did not SPECIFY my wants and 2. 'substitutions are common'. 1. When one orders a floral arrangement online from a picture, the common understanding is that the product will look as good as the picture. Period. 2. Substitutions are understandable but when one orders a TROPICAL arrangement and a wilted, half-dead group of seasonal, local blooms arrives - this is a reflection of a company that thinks it can get away with sending out old, last minute thrown-together crap. LaParis had the nerve to call her excuse for such a breach of trust "Artistic license'. She had so very much to say by way of defending her company and I encourage you (if you have gotten this far) to just have a look at what she ent. The picture says it all. In reading through the reviews, it seems my experience wasn't out of the ordinary. An out of town relative sent our family an arrangement for the holidays and it was horrible. The owner, Ms. LaParis was kind enough to offer to replace the arrangement the day after Christmas. and she charged her employee (female name rhymes with "felony") with the task. The employee proceeded to call me to ask me for the order information (why would I have that--it was a gift sent TO me?) and that added gas to the situation. The employee ended up telling me that she'd "figure it out" and I texted Ms. LaParis to inform her of what was going on in hopes of getting some clarity. However, she did not respond to my texts so I had to call to get any sort of answer. That was fruitless because there was a poor connection wherever the owner was vacationing but I never received a call or text back since we were not hearing each other. It took an additional day but I did get the redelivery. The replacement arrangement was much better because it wasn't half dead like the first one, but I didn't care for it at all. The spirit with which it was supposed to have been given was tarnished by the unprofessionalism of the establishment and I now have to warn my people to order from somewhere else. Shame. read more

She lives in Flushing so I decided to choose a florist near my house because I knew it would be harder to find a unique selection of flowers by her building. But honestly what made me leave more confused than the bouquet was the energy I got from the woman who made it, I guess she was the owner judging by this Yelp page. There was another employee there who was very friendly and personable. But when I asked a few questions to the woman making my bouquet, the interactions were so extremely awkward and short, that it made me feel like I shouldn't have been there at all, and I'm not that sensitive to imagine that interaction. I don't know what that was about, but I won't be coming back. I ended up stopping at a flower shop in Flushing and getting nicer wrapping paper and adding a few flowers to help how smushed it was. I understand the rustic boho chic look of brown paper but it should've been done more elegantly for the price. It could help to carry a few different options in store. I was incredibly disappointed and embarrassed with the sympathy arrangement that showed up a my grieving friend's doorstep. And even more disappointed that the owner of the shop offered no remedy to the situation -- in fact, they didn't even bother to reply. I ordered the "Mother Gaston" - a simple, minimal and sleek arrangement but what was designed and delivered was a far deviation from what was pictured online. I understand that there's a "substitution policy" but in no way did the new arrangement reflect or preserve "the style, theme, or color scheme" of the original arrangement-- as their policy promises. Unfortunately, there was nothing luxe, modern or "sculpturally engaging" about the new arrangement, nor was it in the same aesthetic. In fact, the aesthetic of The Mother Gaston is sleek and minimal with 2 styles of orchids but this arrangement was made with several varieties of flowers and greenery spilling out of an awkward vase straight out of the 80's. Furthermore, there was no attempt by the florist to contact me to communicate that certain flowers were not available or that the overall design was being changed in such a drastic way. The recipients who were grieving over the loss of their mother expressed that they were very confused to receive such an arrangement. I do not think that it was appropriate for a sympathy occasion which was clearly indicated in the order and within the enclosed note. I paid close to $200 for this arrangement, including tax, delivery and tip and asked that they refund me for what I paid for the flowers. The owner offered no recourse when we spoke on the phone and had no response to a follow up email. I tried every avenue to resolve this before having to leave a bad review on a small business during these times. However, customers are struggling too -- particularly when the money spent was with the intention of bringing peace, beauty and condolences to a grieving family. This business owner doesn't seem to care that their online flower arrangement offerings are not what actually gets designed and delivered; they instead, hide behind a "substitution policy" that is completely disingenuous. read more

Brooklyn Blooms created a gorgeous and unique arrangement that they LOVED and really spruced up their zoom party background! :) I have since moved away, but I used to live around the corner from the shop, and worked directly with the lovely LaParis in person to provide flowers for my wedding in 2018. She worked with me and my husband to create a few special pieces for our small party within our budget, and really transformed the space!
