This BBQ space is so hidden! I've never been to Park Plaza diner, but this restaurant is owned by the same people. It's actually connected and looked like they might share the same kitchen - not totally sure. We came on a weekday evening and we were the only people here. You order food at the counter and seat yourself at the tables. They have beer and wine available, I had a cider. I ordered a rib and sausage combo plate with cole slaw and mac and cheese. The sausage was great, the ribs were just OK. My friend ordered the wings for herself and I didn't get to try one, but she said they were delicious. I definitely want to come back at least to try park plaza, maybe when they have live music!

Pick two. Alright pulled pork. Not so good brisket. $27 but it is Brooklyn Heights.

I passed by this newcomer while walking outside around Oktoberfest. They had some beers specifically for said times as well as a more usual selection. The people were friendly and the place was festive with a lot of parents with kids (makes sense for the are) as well as a Bluegrass band. The Q here is pricey but it's practically the only option with Pig Beach closing outside of Morgan's pretty close by. Had the pick two for $27 which came with two sides, cornbread, and pickle chips which was a substantial amount of food. They have some unique options including pulled lamb shoulder (IIRC they were out) as well as some pork belly. The brisket was just alright. It had a bit of a light smoke ring but at least it wasn't tough like the one at Pig Beach. Better was the pork belly which was well flavored but unfortunately, there was a piece of bone and cartilage inside which was rather disgusting. You can kind of see the outline in my photo on the top left. The Mac was good though I prefer there being more crispy bits while the Georgia beans were different from what I was used to. Less smoked but I liked the flavor even though it was different Very nice atmosphere though I would return back with some hesitance likely to try one of their very tasty sounding sandwiches or their lamb shoulder.

Let me start by saying atmosphere is way too loud because of the music they play. The food I would rate a 3 out of 10! The flavor oh wait there is no flavor... It was a total waste and I do not recommend this place to anyone. The service is horrible and the food was in something like a hot box. Macaroni and cheese had no flavor. I ordered 1/4 chicken and brisket with two sides of mac n cheese and as you can see in the picture that's not 1/4 of a chicken. I'll end this with a total waste of time stopping at this place. Don't waste your time or money!

I don't know why this place isn't rated higher! Anyway, came here last Friday. Just random decision. We were looking for a place to eat and it did not disappoint. The service was amazing. Although it was past happy hour time, they gave us happy hour prices. They were attentive and nice. The food came out at a good pace cannot complain. Now to the food, it was delicious. We had some sliders that came with jalapeños so good!!! Mac and cheese, creamy and delicious, we also had some other stuff and I can't remember having a complaints in terms of the food. I even had their key lime pie. A nice sweet treat. I will definitely be coming back. I recommend for a chill, very chill night, when you're in the mood to have a nice beer watch some sports and eat some yummy food.

Been meaning to come to this place for a while and I finally did. Self seating on the walk in. You place your order with the cashier and they call your name when your order is ready. I had the Korean flavored wings and the Buffalo wings with 3 sliders lamb, pulled pork, and brisket, with a side of Mac. The wings were good I didn't taste much of a Korean flavor to it but it was well done. The sliders were sub par the only one I really enjoyed was the brisket it was very juicy and full of flavor the pulled pork lacked salt and the lamb didn't really taste like lamb but ok. The Mac and cheese was alil runny I wouldn't recommend it and no flavor. The drinks were very good we had the rum punch. The ambience was nice great for groups, dates, and family. I'd go back for the wings and drinks

Just ate at this place because my husband and I wanted a different BBQ spot to try. It's a bit tucked away from foot traffic, but what a super cute BBQ restaurant. I can imagine coming here in the warmer weather because their outdoor seating looks amazing and complete with music. The food was very tasty! Especially the Brisket and pulled pork. My husband and I were thinking about renting it for a few hours for a celebratory event. Its just the right size and set up. I highly recommend it!

The food hear is better than average and the portions sizes are good. We ordered the Pick 2 Combo Plates. The orders included the Pulled Lamb Shoulder, 1/4 chicken, sliced beef brisket, pulled pork, baked beans, collard greens, macaroni and cheese and cornbread. The restaurant is nicely decorated; there is also an outdoor dining area/ beer garden. Brooklyn BBQ is located at 220 Cadman Plaza on the left side of Park Plaza Diner in the Brooklyn Heights neighborhood, just follow the pig with the red arrow attached to it. The location of the restaurant is off of the beaten path, so you have to know it's there in order to find it. I believe that once people find out it is located in Brooklyn Heights it will become a hit. You can take the A train to the High Street Brooklyn Bridge stop and walk 3 minutes or you could take the bus to the Cadman Plaza W/ Tillary Street stop and walk three minutes. It is also located (8 minute walk) close to the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory on Old Fulton Street and the Brooklyn Bridge Waterfront Park in DUMBO; It is a tourist destination with ferries to Manhattan's South Street Seaport. It's also a 10 minute walk to DUMBO we're you can take pictures at the iconic Manhattan Bridge view location.

Really enjoyed this BBQ! Pulled pork was ok, but the brisket was the real winner. Mac and cheese was great and coleslaw was delicious, definitely a heavier style but nonetheless great taste. Really big portion overall - would recommend!

The best thing about this was the ribs and the lemonade. Those were really good(even though I asked for no sauce on them and they put sauce on them anyway). The Mac & Cheese had no flavor profile. It just tasted like noodles and cheese and that was it. The collard greens while having a slight Smokey flavor weren't anything special. Neither was the brisket which tasted kinda mid to be honest. Definitely an underwhelming experience from a BBQ place.

Garlic chips, collard greens, ribs, and cornbread

The food was really good and the service was great. Definitely going to bring some friends back here for this killer barbecue.

Sometimes the best finds happen when you're focused on family and stumble into excellence. The food is the real deal. Bold, authentic, and done with discipline. Every bite reflects craftsmanship and pride. No shortcuts. No hype. Just results. The open, spacious layout creates an atmosphere that's relaxed, energetic, and inviting--perfect for unwinding, connecting, and enjoying great food without feeling boxed in. This place delivers real smoke, real flavor, and that no-nonsense Texas-style authenticity that's hard to find anywhere else in the city. From the moment you walk into the rustic, warehouse-style space at 454 Van Brunt St, you know you're in for something serious. The smell alone will make you hungry. I ordered the brisket, beef rib, and jerk baby back ribs, and each one was perfect in its own way. The brisket melts in your mouth with that beautiful bark and smoke ring. The beef rib is massive, tender, and full of deep smoky flavor. And the jerk ribs are a killer twist spicy, sweet, and unbelievably juicy. Their sides are no afterthought either--mac and cheese, baked beans, and collards were all on point. The staff is friendly, the vibe is relaxed, and even if there's a line, it moves fast and it's 110% worth the wait. Red Hook might be a little out of the way, but Hometown makes the trip feel like a pilgrimage. This is hands-down one of the best BBQ spots in New York City. I'll definitely be back again (and again). Highly recommend. Five stars all the way.

Can't comment on specific house made drinks since we didn't try any and their included soft drinks were more than enough. I wanted to come back for the stone crab which they sadly didn't have this time. They had blue crab and clams this time, so I'm assuming there might be some seasonal items. Everything is moist and not overly seasoned. Sometimes at these places the seasoning can be overly sweet or overly salty, but that was not the case here. The tins of mushrooms, especially the one with the beef, were also great. Besides fatty beef and enoki mushrooms, there were wood ear mushrooms, peppers, and a bunch of other things like a few rice cakes. Definitely get this if you love buttery, brothy beef with mushrooms and vegetables. The garlic eggplants are also super good if you love a roasted garlic overload. You can also order off the sheet by checking off the items and listing the quantity, which is very convenient. The only thing I did not think was worth it was the watermelon juice. One pitcher was twenty two dollars and it barely served six to seven small tea cups worth. Will definitely come back for the AYCE menu next time.

Morgans BBQ sauce is amazing, not too tangy not too sweet. Just right. So it made the wings and the brisket tacos even better. The brisket tacos were packed with brisket with a little Pico de gallo for spice. The added BBQ and Mexican flavors made me wonder why it's not a thing already.
