And this past summer, WE BOUGHT OUR DREAM KITCHEN From ANDY & NICCI as promised! So other than the fact that 1) our new cabinets are awesomely beautiful (Cherry!), And 2) the countertops are spectacular (sequential 5/4" granite slabs from Granite City), and 3) the new lighting makes the kitchen brighter and warmer and cozier than ever... I have to say it was all so very EEZY-PEEZY and WORRY FREE! Seriously... EEZY-PEEZY and WORRY FREE! Planning was fun because Andy listened with great care and brought us ideas on how to achieve the feel we dreamed of. The demolition was fast, and well managed... Floor and carpet protection, and a speedy organized team (thanks Nate, Jake, & Kyle!), And cleaned up every night. The installation was speedy with great attention to detail! With most of the cabinets built in their shop before hand, the guys were able to move through the Indian l install really efficiently. And through the whole process, every step that we took, was well guided in ways that allowed is never too worry even a bit Nicci and Andy are the bedrock of Caliber... They truly value people off all backgrounds and they are so very very incredible at seeing, and listening, and hearing, and collaboration with their clients. It saved us thousands on completely rebuilding our kitchen. Their craftsment and installers were excellent. They are not a "high pressure" company either. They seem to just want to do a great job for you. The price was very reasonable and worth every penny. The contractors hired by Top Tier also left quite a bit of their large material waste behind for me to clean up.

After speaking with a handful of reputable contractors in the Madison area, we chose Allen Kitchen…read more& Bath (AKB) based on a referral from a friend who had their kitchen recently remodeled. We had our first meeting with Kathy (Interior Designer) within a few days of contacting them. She came out to our home, talked with us about our needs and ideas, and took rough measurements right then and there so she could get started on renderings, material selection, and planning. Within a week, we were in her office reviewing a detailed, accurate work order that was nearly spot-on with our vision -- and at a price lower than we had anticipated! After answering what must have been a million questions from us over the next week or two (and letting us review other materials in the showroom), we came almost full circle back to Kathy's original design. Kathy was patient, kind, and quick to address all our needs as we worked through the initial planning process. Once we officially signed with AKB, it was less than a month before our project was scheduled and the dumpster arrived. Our lead carpenter, Pat, arrived the following morning and got to work right away. Outside of the electrician and plumbers, Pat was our main tradesperson for the project--from tear-out to tiling, he was skilled in all areas. Since I work from home, I was able to greet Pat each morning and talk over the day's work. He also showed a great deal of patience and kindness as I asked questions about the project, materials, techniques, and more. And since he was here for over a month, I got to learn more about him and his family. It was genuinely nice having him here each morning, putting his years of experience to work as he rebuilt our bathroom from the ground up. His dedication to his trade truly speaks for itself--our bathroom turned out amazing! Overall, we are very pleased with our remodeling experience with Allen Kitchen & Bath. Everyone we interacted with was kind, patient, knowledgeable, and engaging. Our bathroom turned out better than we could have imagined--the shower is our favorite part!

I had some framing ideas sketched up that they talked through with me but came up with some better options that turned out great. And when some issues came up they worked with me and were able to come up with a solution that I was more pleased with. The cost was a bit more than I expected but they took care of all the coordination with others to get the work done and it was done in the specified time frame.

We were impressed with how perfectly the new wood matched the original cupboards for such a seamless installation! We chose the arch topped pattern; we were able to use our original pretty backplates and knobs; we did update with hinges that were internal and more modern in appearance. Within the next month, a carpenter arrived to measure precisely for the project. When the big day arrived, two installers came promptly at 8 am.
