Since then, over the last two days, they have texted and called non-stop. 13 missed calls, some of them repeated three times minutes apart--that'll make me want to answer NOT, and 4 unanswered texts--take a hint! All of the other contractors I sent requests to also replied with similar "no quote" provided messages though they stopped there. I am now seeing why people get so fed up with contractors. I will be doing this job myself.

I was told there was a $39.99 standard service fee. Turns out there was a separate $39.99 "incidental expense variances" fee that was not disclosed when I made the appointment. It also appears this company is based out of Iowa and tries to look like it's local. The technician also pushed to do a "safety check" of the home that resulted in a recommendation of nearly $3,000 in additional work. I thought the fee for the actual work was high, considering the job maybe took 30 minutes after he got done with the "safety check." Again, I got my job done fine ... but I don't think they were transparent, it was pricey and I didn't appreciate the up-sell. I'll go with someone else next time.

So other than the fact that 1) our new cabinets are awesomely beautiful (Cherry!), And 2) the countertops are spectacular (sequential 5/4" granite slabs from Granite City), and 3) the new lighting makes the kitchen brighter and warmer and cozier than ever... I have to say it was all so very EEZY-PEEZY and WORRY FREE! Seriously... EEZY-PEEZY and WORRY FREE! Planning was fun because Andy listened with great care and brought us ideas on how to achieve the feel we dreamed of. The demolition was fast, and well managed... Floor and carpet protection, and a speedy organized team (thanks Nate, Jake, & Kyle!), And cleaned up every night. The installation was speedy with great attention to detail! With most of the cabinets built in their shop before hand, the guys were able to move through the Indian l install really efficiently. And through the whole process, every step that we took, was well guided in ways that allowed is never too worry even a bit Nicci and Andy are the bedrock of Caliber... They truly value people off all backgrounds and they are so very very incredible at seeing, and listening, and hearing, and collaboration with their clients. It saved us thousands on completely rebuilding our kitchen. Their craftsment and installers were excellent. They are not a "high pressure" company either. They seem to just want to do a great job for you. The price was very reasonable and worth every penny. Like most people should, we got three bids on doing our kitchen and they just won "hands down" with their approach and prices. And they finished before the end of a week. Ahead of schedule.
