I called All Comfort Services today and they were able to send Monte A. on the same day. He's the man! All he had to do was be in the house and his aura was enough to bring that dead unit back to life! (Seriously!) He said he just checked the outside unit and it seemed to be blowing hot air indicating it was working. Honestly it wasn't working when I checked it the evening before - my aura must be old & tarnished. Like me. Good thing Monte's isn't. Just the trip charge - worth it. I've made a service appointment to get the oil changed and tires rotated on the furnaces and air conditioning unit and I'm certain whomever they send will bring the aura, too. They determined that the light sensor was defective and that the fixture needed to be replaced. If we bought new fixtures, All Comfort Services would be happy to install them. I called to checkin and see what time they are looking at so I could refigure my schedule. I was told by the person answering the phone that they were one van down and running late. I understood, but I also needed to have an idea on when I needed to be on location for the service and was trying to get a ball park so I could re-notify my tenants and so that I could be available to meet the electrician. Instead of offering me a new time window, the gal on the phone was very rude and began to lecture me on how service calls work. I told her I understood that and didn't need her condescending comments that I was just trying to plan. The gal then hung up on me. Needless to say, I have a different electrician coming in this afternoon who was more than happy to help. I really wish my original electrician didn't retire!! I will miss him! I have been in the apartment industry for over 17 years and have never been treated so rudely by a company. What matters most to me is making sure that my tenants are taken care of by a respectful and reliable company. Schedule changes are a necessity in business, however when that occurs one would think a company would have a good communication plan in action so that all parties can be properly notified....and a company certainly should be polite to their clients.
