In response to Kim P...
I am sorry to hear that you found your experience working with Allen was unsatisfactory. While you never made an appointment to see me, I always dropped what I was doing whenever you walked into the showroom to meet with you, followed you around while you directed me on what you wanted, and made detailed notes.
When I went to your home to get the measurements I needed to create your design, I pointed out that Allen pulls building permits and some of the things you were asking for would not pass inspection. In my years of experience, I have seen where a contractor did not pull the necessary permits and it cost the homeowner thousands of dollars to remediate the situation and bring their remodel up to code. I am sorry that you took offense to that because my intention was to help you avoid this exact situation.
I was the one the asked management to contact you (not the other way around). I even took the time to still create a design for your kitchen to pass on to another designer that I thought you may work better with so your project would not be delayed.
Again, I regret that you felt your experience working with Allen was not a positive one.
Here are a few of the reviews I have received from past clients:
"Our designer was incredibly skilled, offering many high-quality design options while also being flexible with our requested changes. This flexibility made the process so much less stressful, and we truly felt heard and understood. The communication was excellent throughout the project, with regular updates that kept us informed every step of the way. We are thrilled with our new kitchen and wouldn't hesitate to use Allen Kitchen and Bath again in the future."
"Kathy, their design specialist, was instrumental in turning our ideas into reality. She guided us through every step of the design process, helping select materials that matched our taste and budget. Her expertise and creative suggestions transformed our bathrooms into spaces that are both beautiful and functional."
"After speaking with a handful of reputable contractors in the Madison area, we chose Allen Kitchen & Bath (AKB) based on a referral from a friend who had their kitchen recently remodeled. We had our first meeting with Kathy (Interior Designer) within a few days of contacting them. She came out to our home, talked with us about our needs and ideas, and took rough measurements right then and there so she could get started on renderings, material selection, and planning.
Within a week, we were in her office reviewing a detailed, accurate work order that was nearly spot-on with our vision -- and at a price lower than we had anticipated! After answering what must have been a million questions from us over the next week or two (and letting us review other materials in the showroom), we came almost full circle back to Kathy's original design. Kathy was patient, kind, and quick to address all our needs as we worked through the initial planning process."
"Kathy helped us design the kitchen and bathrooms for our new construction home. Her attention to detail was incredible, her courtesy, patience was equally outstanding. The experience was absolutely stress free with Kathy guiding us through every step of the way. The care for her clients is amazing."
"I had a great experience working with the Allen Kitchen & Bath company, located in Madison, during my recent bathroom remodel. I was impressed with the staff, overall customer service, and the products (cabinets, sinks, countertops). I now have a beautiful bathroom to show for it. Their designer, Kathy, was in communication with me throughout my remodel project. It is so helpful to have someone invested in your project from start to finish. She was very helpful in choosing coordinating materials, but what stood out to me, is how important it seemed to her that I was happy with my choices. I did change my mind a couple of times before my choices felt "right," but never felt any sales pressure."
