This past year, I checked out several places including Borokhim's Oriental Rugs on Monroe Street. There, Albert Borokhim was extremely generous with his time in showing me many of the rugs he had in stock, but the red in them did not match my counter. Last week, after he received a new shipment, he called me. I went in and Albert showed me 12 different rugs, one of which was exactly the one I'd been searching for. (see photo). He kindly cut a pad for me, then rolled the carpet and offered to deliver it to the west side of town. I couldn't have asked for better treatment from a retail establishment. But beyond that, I found Albert so warm, caring, knowledgeable, and generous, I'd be happy to have him even as a friend. I'll definitely return.

He gave me several very nice options and was very pleasant and professional. I chose a beautiful rug, and he sent several more photos of it including the back. We agreed on a very good price and the rug arrived well packed and protected by a thick carpet pad that was wrapped around it. It is a magnificent signed Nain, 480 kn/sq in. I wholeheartedly recommend Borokhim's!

To top it all off, he offered me $200 in store credit if I removed this review. HA! Don't waste your time with this shady business. I am really bummed with this place. The lady and gentleman who helped us were very nice and seemed like they were helping us out. We were even thinking about coming back and getting more furniture. Don't fall for it like we did and do your research first! They delivered our couch today, and when I looked it up by patent number, I could get this same couch for about $250 less at Ashley. The lady here told me that she would "throw in the pillows for free," but the couch at Ashley comes with the pillows for no additional cost. I won't be coming back...

Our Persian rug got soaked when out basement flooded, and the Minasian Rug team handled our…read moresituation exceptionally well at every point. We wanted the rug dried out - we couldn't just hang it over a railing bc it was soaking and we had rain in the forecast for the next several - and while many other companies needed us to bring the rug to their site, Minasian said they could pick up our rug that afternoon, clean it at their facility and return it to our house at a date we would schedule. They quoted us a competitive price, their team showed up that same day (on time), their team guys were friendly and professional, and they removed our wet (now useless) rug pad, in addition to taking our rug for cleaning. A few days later, the company called us to schedule home delivery of our cleaned rug. They gave us a tight (30-minute) window - not one of these cases where a company gives you a 4-hour window! - their team arrived on time, and again, the guys were super helpful and friendly. Although we didn't buy a rug pad from Minasian - we got one from elsewhere online - their team cut our rug pad (at my request) to fit our rug's size. All around, fantastic service! I recommend Minasian and would use them again.
