I used Brooklyn Bark religiously with their pre billing and pre booking for a while. Due to financial issues and my room mate at the time working from home and helping out I had to cancel that. I kept in touch thought bc my boys loved all the walkers from Brooklyn Bark. I used another service that allowed me to schedule right away when I would need a walk last minute but Today I reached out to Brooklyn Bark when I was stuck last minute and they were able to help. David their old walker was able to help and even with an issue of the front desk not being able to find the spare key I left we were able to communicate and sort it out. I could tell from the pictures David sent me that the guys were THRILLED to see him again and I was thrilled to be able to relay on such a great company for my babies. read more

Latte and I love Brooklyn Bark! Latte has been so happy with both her dog walkers, first Ryan and now Joel. Latte adores Joel and is always always happy to see him and so does our cat Mocha. It takes a lot of courage to leave your loved pets AND house basically open to someone, so knowing that it's Joel and being able to trust him with both my pets means everything to me. Thanks Brooklyn Bark for being a part of our lives! :) read more

In 7/2014 I needed to find a sitter for my pup and cat at very short notice. I contacted Brooklyn Bark in a panic, and was amazed by how thorough and considerate every employee (and the owner!) in responding to our needs and providing for my animals. Brooklyn Bark is incredibly professional and provides excellent service. I've heard horror stories about other dog-walking/sitting services, and my experience with Brooklyn Bark was the exact opposite in every way. Their customer service is excellent. Helen is the Barkmaster. She did a wonderful job answering my questions, explaining the services, and easing my anxiety about leaving my furbabies alone. She quickly scheduled a meet-and-greet, and expedited the entire process for me. Walkers/sitters meet with the animals ahead of time, to ensure familiarity. Additionally, there are always two employees present for these meetings - a nice touch for those who are worried about strangers in the city. Cathy and Milton came over for the meet-and-greet, and they were incredibly sweet and reassuring. They answered every question I had, and brought up issues that I hadn't even thought of as part of their standard checklist. Of course, Murphy's Law kicked in the next day and I missed my train. I called Brooklyn Bark to let them know that my plans had changed. They were incredibly reassuring, flexible, and understanding about the inconvenience. Finally I was really, truly off on my travels and Brooklyn Bark was everything I hoped for! I came home to a happy, healthy pup and my house just the way I left it. I would DEFINITELY recommend Brooklyn Bark, for both their fabulous dogsitting AND their amazing customer service. read more

We love Rachel and Brooklyn Bark. She's been taking care of our cats for two years, and literally NEVER cancelled on us, including during the blizzards this past winter. She is 100% reliable. One of our kitties gets injections and medicine, and although it often takes both my husband and I to do it at night, when Rachel comes, she gets it all done, by her lonesome, every time. She texts pics to let us know they are all right, and is almost always able to accommodate last-minute requests. She's the best. read more

We just had Brooklyn Bark petsit our cats while we were on vacation, and we couldn't be happier. We got email updates after every visit, letting us know what the sitter had done that day, how the cats behaved, etc., which was very reassuring. Rachel and Chuck stopped by for a free consultation beforehand, where we were to discuss all of our pets' quirks, and they took a copious amount of notes and pictures. I also really appreciated their online scheduling system- so easy to use. I will definitely use them again! read more

Had a great experience with Brooklyn Bark petsitting my cat over the last year. The live updates and pictures are so helpful and give you peace of mind while you're away from your loved furry one! They take great car of my cat and follow the directions to a T! Strongly recommend. read more

I just had Brooklyn Bark sit my 15-year old cat for a week while I went on vacation. I was very anxious about leaving the old lady alone for so long as she can be very stand-offish (read: mean) with strangers. I could not be happier with the service and the communication. Every day I got updates accompanied with videos and photos. It really was a huge relief and allowed me to enjoy my time away knowing that my kitty was so well being looked after. I have a few more trips planned and will be able to check cat sitter off my list as I know she is in super capable hands with Brooklyn Bark. Big thanks from me and a giant meow from my 4-legged fur friend. read more

So happy with Brooklyn Bark. From day one their staff has been responsive, helpful, and super friendly. Online scheduling system is convenient, the comments and pictures make my day (usually make me laugh too). Our dog LOVES her regular walker Theo, who is awesome, as are all of the walkers we've worked with. Worry-free. Strongly recommend. read more

We've used Brooklyn Bark for cat sitting for many years, and their excellent service has been invaluable to us. We've had two cats that required daily sub-q (subcutaneous fluid) treatments. This would be much too difficult for a friend or neighbor to handle, so the fact that Bark provides this service has been a real lifesaver. Without it, we'd never have been able to leave home for more than a day. The fact that the cat sitting session is 30 minutes long is also really important for human-addicted kitties. Bark's email updates reassure both that the service has been provided and that your pet is ok...this is particularly important when your pet is not in the best of health. I fully and confidently recommend Brooklyn Bark to everyone who needs any kind of pet sitting. read more

I used Brooklyn Bark for dog walking services and had a fantastic experience. Every staff member I interacted with was professional and friendly. I also took their Pet First Aid & CPR class, and it was incredibly informative -- I've felt much more confident in my abilities to manage an emergency situation since taking this class. I highly recommend! read more

I've never written a Yelp Review in my life but I had to sign up just to post how much I love working with Brooklyn Bark. They have always accommodated our needs and everyone on their staff has been incredible to our GSD. Without Alex, Ally, and now Nick, I don't know how we would be able to have a dog in the city! They are the best. read more

Louie's walker with Brooklyn Bark has changed a few times over the years with them, and they've always been great. His newest walker Ash, is awesome. Louie is getting up in years so it's really important to have good communication around Louie's behavior and how he's doing on his walks. Ash does a great job letting me know every little thing that's going on with Louie and that means a lot. I would highly recommend Ash, and Brooklyn Bark for anyone looking for quality dog walking services in Brooklyn, they really are the best around! read more

Joel A. has cat sat for me twice now, for over a week each time. He's super attentive and I can tell he actually spends time with the cats, which is more than I can say for most sitters. He sends me updates every time he visits with pictures of both kitties and even though it's a small gesture it really eases my worries. He even went out of his way to make sure I was getting the updates when I was out of the country. The only thing I'll say is that the online portal for reservations and payment for Brooklyn Bark has been glitchy for me in the past, but the office is so responsive that I wouldn't even lower my rating. read more

I can't thank Joel and the Brooklyn Bark team enough. Joel looked after my very skittish dog Alva while I was away on vacation. I got regular photos, emails and check ins while I was gone. He really took great care of her and I was totally at ease while I was away knowing my pup was in good hands! read more

Brooklyn Bark is the most wonderful, professional and accommodating pet service on the planet. We have a pit bull mix with odd fears and anxiety and they have been so great about getting to know her and love her. Also our schedule gets complicated because my man and I are freelance but they always respond right away to requests. When we moved from Bed Stuy we were so worried that we wouldn't be able to find a great company like Brooklyn Barks but they had walkers in our new area and now our dog is way more in love with Katie (dog walker extraordinaire) than us. They are the best! read more

If you are lucky enough to have Brooklyn Bark available for your pups, you don't need to shop around. These folks are as good as it gets. We love their professionalism, flexibility, responsiveness, dependability, and how much they love our dogs. We never worry about their safety or wellness, whether on walks or overnights. We especially appreciate Katie, who walks them everyday and gives us the greatest updates & photos. We also have had great experiences with Helen, Rachel, and anyone we've spoken to. They are definitely winning at how-to-give-customer-service, and are our favorite thing about living in Brooklyn. read more

I LOVE Brooklyn Bark! I have been using them for about three years to watch my cats when I'm out of town. They are very accommodating and everyone is so nice. Highly recommended! read more

Another great experience with Brooklyn Bark warrants another great review. I have used Brooklyn Bark on multiple occasions and can't say enough great things about the service. I travel frequently for work and Brooklyn bark has become my absolute trusted number one go to for looking after my 3 year old cat. Mariya at Brooklyn Bark has become fast friends with my little kitty, and is a stellar cat sitter. The frequent email updates and photos of her visits make being away from my little girl so much less stressful. I fully recommend Brooklyn Bark to anyone looking for help taking care of their pets. read more

We have been using Brooklyn Bark for the past 5 months or so for our two Miniature Schnauzers and the service has been amazing. Our assigned walker Peter LaMalfa has treated our girls with such love and care as if they were his own dogs. Our youngest Schnauzer is a bit accident prone, Peter has done his best to work with us to help correct the situation. The service does its best to try to accommodate requests or changes that we make. We highly recommend Brooklyn Bark for your dog waking needs. read more

We have been using Brooklyn Bark since day one of adopting our pup - about 2 years now - and cannot imagine what our lives would be like without them. Our dog was and still can be quite nervous around new people entering the apartment but they are consistently patient, understanding, and loving with our dog, Marty. He adores his walker, Joel, and we do too. Getting the email updates of his walks (complete with cute photos of Marty and his friends) are always a highlight of our day. I could not recommend them more and we're so appreciative of their care and communication over the years. read more

Joel has been doing daily solo walks for our very nervous rescue dog for the past 2 years. We had many dog walkers before that and none of them were able to get through to our anxious little pup. Some couldn't even leash her up to go on a walk! Joel on the other hand has been gentle and patient with her quirks and now is even able to put her jackets on when needed. He is truly a dog whisperer and we are appreciative of the fact that Brooklyn Bark is the kind of company that lets employees take the time they need to get to know dogs one on one. read more

I don't leave a ton of reviews but wanted to send my thanks to Brooklyn Bark! We adopted our pup from a rescue about 2 years ago and have been so thankful for Brooklyn Bark! Our dog is a true source of joy and love for us but like a lot of rescues, he's got his challenges. He pulls like crazy and can be unpredictable with other dogs. He's such a challenging dog we couldn't really ask friends/family to help because he can really pull your arm off if you don't know what you're doing. So I was so happy to find such a reliable, professional, easy to use service. All of his walkers took their time with him, worked with him, loved him, even helped in training him a little bit. Anytime his regular walker was going to be out, we'd get a message about it, if we needed someone outside of our normal walker's hours, the weekend walker would be great too! Their website is super easy to use, they were very responsive to emails, and they seemed to always have someone available to help us out. We moved recently, and unfortunately there's nothing like Brooklyn Bark here. We'll miss them a lot and would highly recommend giving them a try! read more

Brooklyn Bark has provided us with reliable, caring service and, most of all, peace of mind with regard to the welfare of our furry one for almost eight years. They are first-rate and I recommend them with complete confidence. read more

Reviews look mostly great, but I emailed them twice asking if they served Bed-Stuy, and got no reply at all, which drives me crazy. If you don't provide the service I'm looking for, that's totally fine, but reply, for crying out loud--especially if your website promises you will within 24 hours. read more

I've been using Brooklyn Bark for a long time for both our cat and dogs and I love them. Rachel has always been amazing. Most recently, Jonah and Joel took such great care of my cat for several trips. My kitty is very old and has a few health conditions, so I'd ordinarily be very nervous to leave her. But knowing she would be in the care of Jonah and Joel really put my mind at ease. They are very sweet with her and give me detailed notes about how she is doing each visit. They are great at giving her pills without a pill pocket (no easy task for most cats), administering an inhaler for her asthma, and watching for any symptoms of her illnesses. You can tell they love animals and are very communicative. She is always medicated on time and has everything she can possibly need. They really go above and beyond and kitty and I thank them for that. Thanks Brooklyn Bark. Your team is amazing. read more

We have been with Brooklyn Bark for over 1.5 years and have had a fantastic experience with every single dog walker we have worked with. In particular, we have worked with Nick the longest, and he is the friendliest, most caring, responsible dog walker we could have asked for. Our dog is not the easiest to deal with as he can be very timid or aggressive, especially when he runs in to other dogs or fast moving people/children. Nick has even been able to walk our dog with another dog, which was a huge accomplishment and has been so helpful for our dog's socialization. There was no one else we could have trusted to take care of our dog while we went away for an entire week. Nick sends us the sweetest reports for every walk, with photos, which absolutely makes our days. BB's online system makes it very easy to schedule walks and overnight stays. The staff is also very organized and friendly - happy to help when we have last minute changes. They even sent us a congratulatory gift when they found out we were getting married! BB was very accommodating when we were dog-sitting another dog, taking care of him as well as they did our own dog. I would suggest Brooklyn Bark to everyone I know. It's been a fantastic experience! read more

Bk Bark is the most amazing pet related service that I have ever dealt with. My dog, Otis means the world to me and I've ended my relationship with plenty of other services (groomers, day cares, vets, walkers, etc...) because they didn't meet my standards. If I feel a weird vibe, you're out! I can thankfully say that once I found BK Bark, I've felt completely at ease with leaving Otis at home while I'm at work. They have been very accommodating to my schedule, they offer discounts for booking in advance, they have 2 extra sets of keys (cause you know sometimes I forget my keys :(), they're understanding of when funds may not be available right away, they send pictures of Otis' walks and one of the best offerings is the app that they use. The walker scans in (they gave me a QR code thingy to keep on my fridge) when he picks up and drops off Otis. I get an alert with how long Otis' walk was, how it went, and even where they went b/c it has GPS. Laze is Otis' walker and he is seriously one of the best human beings that I have ever met, not to mention that Otis is in love with him. read more

Like most pet owners, I am protective of my dog and want to make sure he is in good hands when not with me. I recently tried Brooklyn Bark when I had to leave town unexpectedly and couldn't have been happier with the personalized attention my dog received. Nick watched after my dog and wrote detailed personalized email updates every day, so I didn't have to wait until I was back in town to hear how my dog was doing. I would highly recommend Nick and Brooklyn Bark to any dog owner who wants the best, most personalized care for their animal. read more

Brooklyn Bark is wonderful. And Judith is the best! Our dog Calvin loves her and she takes excellent care of him. It's very reassuring to have someone so responsible, professional, and caring looking after our little guy. read more

I've only been using BB for about a month, but they've really improved my life and my dog's. My pup had a traumatic experience with a previous walker and had developed some leash aggression, and everyone has been really understanding and helpful, from the scheduler to the area manager. My walker Katie, especially, has been exceedingly patient and communicative, and has been helping to move my dog back on track. I'm so grateful for her and BB! read more

We've been using Brooklyn Bark about a year now after a bad experience with a previous walker who we discovered was not giving our dog a proper walk. As a company, I have to commend the whole team who are always responsive and genuinely go the extra mile to care for their clients - dogs, cats and people alike. I also have to give a huge shout out to our newly assigned walker Jacqui - after only a couple months my dog and I are already smitten with her. Her daily notes are always a highlight of my afternoon - witty, funny and informative - I think she's onto something with the comedy writing thing! I can tell from her thoughtful descriptions that she's really taken the time to get to know Buster and his odd quirks and is taking the best care of him. read more

I am a new client of Brooklyn Bark and let me say that I am BEYOND happy!!!! I have a rescued pit with major trust issues with humans. She is also very dog reactive and needs solo walks only (no group walks). I had a walker whom I've used as needed for the past year or so. I had him scheduled for Memorial Day weekend this year. About a week ago, he cancelled. FML. I really thought I was fucked. I was set to go out of town with my family for the holiday and sadly, taking her with me was not an option. I called (and no, I am not exaggerating) about 20 dog walking and pet sitting services. I was rejected by more than half after I explained my dog's behavior. Most of the companies just didn't have walkers experienced enough to handle my dog. I emailed a lengthy, detailed intro on myself and my dog and her behavior/triggers to Rachel and Michael. They called me back within a day and we had a lovely, informative talk. They were upfront and said they couldn't promise it would work with my dog but would try. A few nights later, Elle and I met Nick, the company's field manager who assessed the situation and suggested we meet Katie. Katie came over and although, was experienced, had never handled a dog like mine. We took it slow and after awhile, she said she was willing to try it out with Elle for the weekend. Hooray! I told her that worst case, if she felt she couldn't handle my dog, I would drive back. Honestly, I've been called by places to come get her early...when I've been across the country. I left on Friday and by Saturday afternoon, Katie had worked up enough trust to pet her and even let Elle lay on the bed with her!!!! I just got back and Elle is incredibly happy. My cats are happy (but they always are) and I'm so thankful that I found this wonderful company! Thank you guys so much! read more

Joel has been walking our neurotic, nervous, skiddish, sweet little rescue pup for a couple months now. He is one of the first dog walkers to really connect with her. Few dog walkers have been able to leash her up and get her out for a walk without our help. He is a real dog whisperer and we are so grateful to have found him. In addition, Brooklyn Bark's scheduling system is easy, efficient and all online. We like getting little updates on how Joel and our pup do together each day. Definitely would recommend this service and Joel in particular. read more

We were initially hesitant to leave our 12 week-old kittens for the weekend, especially since they were becoming increasingly active and curious (and you know what they say about curiosity and cats...). Thank goodness we found Brooklyn Bark, and Lazé in particular!! Not only did we get real-time updates about the duration and specific time of visits, but Lazé went the extra mile by emailing us pictures and detailed descriptions of how our kittens were doing. When we returned from our 3-day weekend, we were so pleased to find a super clean litter box and well-fed, happy felines. Lazé even suspended some toys around the house to offer safe acrobatic challenges which undoubtedly kept our kittens entertained between visits. Thank you Lazé, and thank you Brooklyn Bark! We will definitely use your services again and again! read more

After being "fired" from our last cat sitter who didn't want to come twice a day or give my older cat medicine I was out of hope. Then came along Brooklyn Bark. We decided to try them because they also advertise in our building and I heard great things. I received a response right away! I was pretty concerned because my older cat who is 15 years old has severe arthritis and asthma. She needs medicine twice a day to feel comfortable. We also have a younger cat who can be quite skittish around new people. Jake and David from Brooklyn Bark were assigned to us. I cannot explain how amazing they are! These guys know whats up. They love animals and it shows! Both of them went well above and beyond to get to know the cats, provide exceptional care and kept us updated the whole trip! I am so grateful that these two wonderful amazing people were able to help us. They put cartoons on the Ipad for the cats to watch. Yes, we really do that. I mean, you can't get better service than that! The Brooklyn Bark team is honest, professional and they really understand your needs as a client. Plus you can tell that they love what they do. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would! I am telling everyone about Brooklyn Bark. Thank you to the owners and thank you so much to Jake and David. You two are really great people and eased our minds. read more

Rachel took us in on a last-minute basis and found Anna to visit and feed our cat Karma while we were away for Christmas. Despite some frantic emailing and texting (on my part), they came through on everything they promised, even sending us their cell photos of our sweetie. What a reassurance that was to know she was taken care of when we were out of town. Thanks, BB crew for your support. read more

Highly recommend Brooklyn Bark to anyone who needs a reliable dog walking service with an extra personal touch! Scheduling walks is extremely easy through their online portal. We also love hearing from our dog walker after the service has been completed. Adam has been with us and our dog Tiger for some time now and he is absolutely amazing. He always tells us how Tiger did and often melts our hearts with cute pics of our sweet guy. Tiger loves him to pieces! No need to look any further. read more

2 years later and still as happy with Brooklyn Bark as ever! Sancho really loved Mariya, his long-time walker, so we were sad to lose her . But Sancho's been walking with Peter these days and they seem to have such a great time together. Our pup is very lucky to have had such nice playmates. read more

Found them through Yelp and want to pay it forward. We use Brooklyn Bark for cat sitting, and they're amazing. Super-easy to schedule, including last minute when we had to travel for a funeral, and easy to add on things like plant watering. We look forward to her photos and updates every day we're away. read more

Brooklyn Bark goes above and beyond my expectations. Someone I met in Fort Greene Park highly recommended them, so I sent them an email. The "Barkmaster" called me back almost immediately and it was evident she really had an interest in my dog, Rudy. A few days later I met with the potential walker, named Adam. He is fantastic. After every walk he sends an email reporting what transpired . It brings me relief and joy to know my beloved dog has something to look forward to when I'm not home, and is being tendered to by someone responsible and caring. In addition the service provides notifications when the walks start and stop and you can even see the actual route taken during the walk. Plus you can do all the scheduling on line. Besides sending detailed reports, Adam has also taken pictures on more than one occasion. I can't say enough about my specific walker, Adam, and this service in general. read more
