Recently moved back to east la ...... Walked in for a haircut was greeted by barber Pierre, who kindly advised me that I was next, and to have a seat. Waited no more than 20 minutes. How can I say it with out sounding so East la ..... Pierre got down with my fade. Foo.....Lol ... he Knew exactly what I wanted from the way my hair looked from my previous cut..... from a different barber ....!(that's when you know the barbers good) ended up talking to him small world, I ended up knowing his whole family. Highly recommend going to this spot .... ask for Pierre .... read more

Ask for George he is the best. Very safe, friendly, and professional. George is great at taking appointments and always text back right away. The offered me water at the end, but before Covid would offer me water at the beginning. That's the kind of service that's gets 5 stars read more

The place looks nice and the staff seems cool. The problem was that I made an appointment for 10 a.m. I arrived at 10 a.m. and was advised that they were two people ahead of me. It was actually two people ahead of me after the person that was still on the chair. I waited like 45 min then walked out. read more

Bro I've literally tried to get a haircut and beard trim at this spot for about two months now and they've either closed before their operating hours or been rude af and say they don't take walk-ins... how tf can you get an appointment if you can't even get a first cut lol... won't try again I wanted to support local business but these guys are a joke read more

Brooklyn Ave Barbershop using the original name of the street (Brooklyn Ave) offers a great modern ambience with full service barbers. Been here twice. Got haircuts by Chris & Anthony so far. Both of them did an excellent job and provided courteous & professional service. If you want a get shampoo wash before the cut, they will provide that at no additional charge. Same with the hot towel...Appointments can made via Yelp app or by simply calling. Also no additional charge for appointments. Friendly owners & free street parking. I highly recommend. read more

I use to live near Pomona so I had always gone to the same barber shop for years. Two years ago I moved closer to LA and in took me a year to find the perfect barber shop and I finally found it! I've now been going to this barber shop for 6 months and I get the same experience ever time with my barber George. He's the nicest person ever and he's so precise with his cuts. The shop itself is cute and really clean. My only regret is I wish I had found him years ago. read more

Brought my son in for his first barbershop haircut and he absolutely loved it. Diamond did a great job giving him the hair cut he likes which i don't think has a name, its a mixture of low fade and tapper cut. She took her time and made sure she listened to what he wanted. He had a fear of barbershops from a really bad experience when he was younger but now i think he found a place he can come too without any worry. The shop is very clean and i really like the decorations. The prices are good and they do a great job , so make sure you tip your barber. The shop is very close to home which makes it very convenient. There is plenty of parking in the parking lots across the opposite street, street parking can be hard to find since it is busy main street. read more

This barber shop is really good. Every barber in there knows what they are doing and do it well. One of my favorite things about this place is the ambience. This place definitely has it... really nice set up and amenities. They even offered me an ice cold beer while I was waiting. They even have a shampoo chair! As well as hot towels and hot lather for beard trims... If you want to feel and look good, go get your haircut or beard trimmed here, it's the BEST! read more

Recommending this place! I was look for a haircut on a Sunday and my wife found this place. I asked for a Deathhawk it's kinda like a Mohawk i described it and my barber cut it perfectly! I'm super happy with his work! Thanks again! read more

Never write reviews.. but I gotta. I Wanted to check this spot out because it looked like a quality shop and also gotta support the rasa business owners. went Monday and they were closed. Called on Tuesday and no answer. Went on Wednesday my last try to get a simple beard trim done. The dude that was currently cutting hair there said they were closed. it's 5pm store hours on your yelp say 7pm. Anyways Guess they really don't want business or steady clientele. I'll take my money elsewhere! read more

Earlier today I took my son to get a haircut, he asked for a low fade and then after the barber had cut him in little places behind the ear and instead of the low fade he fades it really high. My son said that they used the tool very aggressively, one of the barbers doesn't know how to cut hair apparently!!! read more

After weeks of wanting to try this place, I finally made an appointment but im sure that isnt needed considering i was the only one there the whole entire time, i didn't feel in rapport with the barber, let alone the ass of the owner, hes very unprofessional talking shit in front of customers, this place is $8 cheaper, you get what you pay for, and i clearly paid for a shitty ass haircut, i dont know everybody, but those who i do know, i wouldn't recommend such an unprofessional establishment, i rather pay up more and be happy read more

I found this little gem today as I was passing by. I was warmly greeted by the owner and one of his barbers. I was seen very quickly, Chris did a excellent job. I have been shaving my head for several years and Chris knew his way around my head. The owner spoke about his vision for the shop and the love for our community. It's so exciting to see people living out there dreams. The cut was excellent and conversation was even better. I look forward to returning! read more

They(thin guy that his station is in the middle and the guy near the window) did a good job on both my husband and my 18 month old son. He cry a little but but the barber was patient n was understandable. The place is clean nice and the art work is nice MX culture. Best part it's near my house so we walked. The owner or one of the owners is so nice and seems down to earth read more

Cool spot and very Friendly. Owner is bad ass and My boy Anthony hooked up my son. Will recommend it to everyone I know!!

What an amazing barbershop! Super friendly and upbeat vibe! The barbers were all really cool and I wasn't bored while waiting for my husband to get his haircut and bread trimmed. It looked amazing when done and just really great customer service. We were very happy and will definitely be back! read more

I wanted to give this place a chance. Went in there recently and received services from the barber in the second chair closest to the door, a young barber. My ears came back hurting with all the bending he did to cut my hair (I've never had that happened). He also kept pressing down the machine over and over again to fade ( I was very respectful, but felt like telling him, the more you pass or press the machine doesn't equal a good fade). I ended up with two visible lines. I don't know if this guy is new or simply doesn't know or care how to give Haircuts. I've gotten better fades at a hair salon. Place was very nicely clean and staff was respectful, but as a customer, you want a nice cut above everything else. NOT GOING THERE AGAIN. read more

Set up an appointment a day ahead, came on time. Sat in a chair for 20 minutes waiting and nothing. Another barber sat in his chair on the phone the entire time, maybe he was waiting for an appointment I'm not sure. read more

Just came into the barbershop for the first time since moving in the area, and the shop looks great from the outside and in the inside. Nice modern but classic aesthetic...my barber did a good job in my hair cut, he took his time, which is appreciated. My haircut was $30 for an appointment, which is about average. I'm really upset that I called before hand asking if they are wearing masks and they said yes....I walk in to see none of the barbers or guests wearing masks. It seems they would only put on a mask if their client was wearing a mask which does nothing if the other barbers are freely talking and breathing without covering themselves. I would love to come back but I'll probably wait until this pandemic is over because I don't feel comfortable with that minor detail. read more

Will be wearing a hat for the next few months. Sat down with chris. He seemed to be in a bad mood or at least hungover but composed enough to do a simple cut. I told him exactly what I wanted, a side-part, mid-fade, and pointed to another individual getting the same exact haircut. This guy completely botched the job. Nothing is even on the top, sides, or back. The fade is crooked, way too high, and the top is nothing like what I told him to do. It looks like I have a very thick mohawk with a hight-and-tight. I gave sufficient detail, and am wondering what he was hearing. I have never had an experience as bad as this one and am disappointed that I didnt wait one more day for my normal barber to get back into town. He knew he messed up when he told me not to tip him. Will be reaching out to management for further assistance. read more

What East Los needed ! This barbershop manages to be professional but also makes you feel right at home. Anthony cut me up nice he fixed my line up that my previous barber messed up and he was chill af. Great vibes from the barbershop there plus they washed my hair for free. I went to get a haircut and got in the chair right away. Sat in the last chair to the back of the shop. I told this guy how I wanted my haircut but, I guess he decided to experiment with my hair. Never showed me the mirror till the end. The lines are like zigzags and the top which was cut with scissors looks like a dog chewed off my hair. I had to go to another place the next day to basically cuz my hair almost bald, which I have never ever done to my hair. Anyway, this was the worst place I could have gone. Good luck people read more

I really tried to like this please. My Initial experiences were relatively pleasant. I went in for a few trims and even took my son in, but after the first two months of the shop opening, some bad habits started to form. For a shop that's advertised as opened at 10, I would stop in at 10 o'clock only to be informed that the first Barber would not show up until 1030 or 1045. This happened more than once. I was patient, and still went in a few times thereafter, but I could still see the habitual bad habits continuing. Even this week, I went in with my son to make sure he had a haircut for some of his school productions, but upon going in, most of the staff members and their clientele or cussing feverishly, so I had to pull my son out of the location because I don't want to expose them to that. I think the barbers cut well and it's a good staff. I just think some serious guard rails need to be put in place by management, in terms of accountability and professionalism, otherwise only a certain type of client is going to be going to that location. read more

This shop located in an upbringing East Los Angeles is a great place to get a high quality haircut at an affordable price. From the moment you walk through the door the overall environment and ambiance of the shop is relaxing and calm with great music and positive vibes as well as complimentary drinks while you wait for your turn on the chair. The haircut itself was great, Nancy did an awesome job and probably proved to be my new barber. This new and aesthetically pleasing shop is a great place that offers more for your buck and is undoubtedly the best barber shop I have been in years! read more

Well it was fortunate enough to get a haircut without a appointment but the owner recommended a person named Brandon I believe. Sat in the chair and things started to go. As we were 1 hour into my fade the technique he was using wasn't normal. The cutter were pressed on n off my scalp and felt like he was new or barely got started I had no other choice then to stick to it because I needed a haircut. I had remarks all over my head from the heavy pressure applied more than normal felt like someone walk hammering the cutters on my head. Anyways he asked me for a picture because I guess it came out good so I didn't think nothing of it. Went home the next day I noticed razor cuts on my line up and side of forehead like if to much pressure was applied and aswell many cute all along my lower head. Plus I started to notice some red bumps where he was balding my upper neck with the shaved device. I've contacted the Owner GERMAN and no response since that day. I have photos and videos of the Bruse and cuts along my head. Sad to say if you can use a razor or clean your gear you shouldn't belong in the fuel let alone near that. Could've gone way worse to a deeper cut now I have to apply different cream because of the dirty clippers that were used and of the cuts I have read more
