I went there after scrolling through the app and thats the only place i liked, the owner daniel talked me through everything on the app and helped me find a suitable barber. the vibe there is immaculate, Isaiah was incredibly professional and got everything i wanted done perfectly. from the hair shave to the bread line up. 1.2 hours of a haircut flew by so quickly by how well me and him connected, and the cut had just the right amount of small talk. the shop itself is also a vintage clothing gallery, and they sell cologne and other products. i wish i was from the US so i could go to such a place regularly. already booked a second cut just before flying back home! read more

Through AirBnb Services, I decided to book a 5pm reservation for their introductory haircut. The folks at the other end were on top of their communication, sending reminders through email and text. The day of, I found parking across the street, though there is also a dedicated lot behind the building. Inside there was a collection of streetwear for sale influenced by hip hop culture which were also the defining sounds of the playlist heard throughout my visit. I have a fairly simple understanding of hairstyles and proper hair maintenance. The barber Javin asked me questions about my usual hairstyle and went through suggestions regarding trimming technique. Ultimately, I went with low fade with and a touch up on the top. He mentioned my two hair whorls and overall head shape provided some considerations on what he thought would look natural, which I appreciated. In the end, the fade was perfect. Afterwards I went in for quick shampoo and conditioner which targeted my dandruff. While the location is somewhat out of the way for me, I can definitely rely on their dedication and handiwork. read more

They change our appointment time, but then when we go, we had to wait more than 20 minutes. I thought the cut includes shampoo, but wasn't. We paid the first time customer price, so it was sort of reasonable with tip, but from next time, the touch up for $70 + tip or full haircut for short hair $100 + is a bit too much for what we can afford now. We like the haircut though. They are good. Any good hair salons, barbers are so pricey around west LA lately. If you can afford that price, I would recommend this guys here. read more

This review for Frankee is so overdue. But I am a loyal Frankee client because: 1) She is amazing at her craft. Detailed, meticulous, curious, and skilled. The best in the biz. 2) She cares genuinely. A compassionate and caring person that wants nothing more than to please her people. Frankee is a gem. I know that everyone at Saints is premiere quality. And I'm so grateful that I found this place and that I scheduled an appointment with Frankee. As long as I continue to live in the area, I will ALWAYS opt for Frankee to give me the best cut. read more

During my work trip to LA, I stumbled upon Saints barbershop and it turned out to be an exceptional find. The friendly staff accommodated me, and I secured a slot with Valentina based on recommendations. From the moment she introduced herself, Valentina's warm and down-to-earth personality made the experience truly enjoyable. Needing a cleanup, I opted for a tight fade, and Valentina delivered flawlessly. After a week at the convention in Anaheim, I returned to LA solely for another cut from Valentina especially because I was going to go out on my last night. She worked her magic, providing not only a fantastic cut but also a refreshing fade, leaving me feeling rejuvenated. The shop's ambiance is trendy, and cleanliness is evidently a priority. They even offer beverages while you wait, enhancing the overall experience. In terms of pricing, it's reasonable and justified by the quality of service and the overall positive experience. I wholeheartedly recommend Saints barbershop - a solid 10/10, and I am definitely planning to return. It's a gem worth discovering in the LA barber scene. read more

Jonathon was very helpful and kind. It says a lot about a business when the people have great personalities. I definitely recommend Saints!

Love this place! Took my teenage son for a birthday cut and Jay had him out the door looking super cool for the big party.

prices are ridiculous now the price seems to magically increase in under 3 months, coincidentally the time you need a new haircut, but hey we live in Los Angeles, this would be fine if the barbers weren't tip gougers and passive aggressive to the max, leave now before they start charging over 100 for a goddamn haircut, so here's a one star for your total mediocrity and price gouging (Not coming back) read more

If you are reading this as your opposing thumbs begin to nervously sweat, hoping to find a barber you can trust, Saints might be THAT bitch. As you know, it's particularly hard to find a barber that gives an amazing hair and beard cut. IMO, Frankee is the best. She's super chill, easy to talk to, but also comfortable in silence. Let's ground ourselves for a second: This is an expensive cut. For beard + hair, I'm at $100 before tip. But, for me, and perhaps you, the peace of mind of an A+ job is worth it. As far as overall customer experience, parking is plentiful and within a few minute walk through a neighborhood and there's an app that makes scheduling easy. read more

I couldn't get an appointment with my regular barber in time for an important event, so I made an appointment here at the last minute. Literally made an appointment on Saturday night for Sunday morning. I'm always a little hesitant walking into a barber shop as a woman. I prefer someone who can handle my short hair, but a lot of shops are tailored towards men. I had absolutely no reason to be concerned. Everyone was incredibly kind and friendly. They allowed my girlfriend to sit in an empty station and made sure she had water to drink. Jay was very attentive and asked the right questions to make sure that I loved the cut in the end. I don't live in the area, but if I'm ever out there again and in need of a cut--I know where I'm going. Tldr; Jay is awesome. Everyone is nice. Short haired girls welcome. read more

Saints - Cut by Jay. Very happy with the result! - Barbers Near Me - Los Angeles, California

I usually don't post reviews on Yelp, but you all have to know about thee sickest haircut I just got last week. I was on the westside and had time for a cut. After a quick search on instagram, I found Saints and headed over. I was seated by one of the barbers, Frankee. I am so lucky I got her. I got such a hip, clean, quality haircut, I cant freaking believe it. She is amazing. A pro in the ways of men's hairstyles. Go and see for yourself. If you have a wedding, date, interview or anything else important coming up, book an appointment with Frankee. You will look fly. I didn't know what I wanted and she helped me talk it out. So sick. Go and book and appointment before she gets too popular! read more

Saints - Frankee - don't forget that name when you go to Saints. An absolutely amazing haircut - Barbers Near Me - Los Angeles, California

Love this spot. Staff is super nice and skillful. Parking helps getting in and out. Great vibe! Highly recommend!

What world are we living in when a fade costs 80.00. Then you gotta tip on top of that? Thats a service that breaks down to about 180 dollars an hour. I used to come here when cuts were 40. And thst was pricy for the variance in quality you get depending on person. Comon owners. You're rinsing people. Any legitimate Dominican barbershop a few miles east charges 25. read more

Fantastic establishment! I was super desperate for a cleaned up quiff cut recently (you know that moment wherein the hair suddenly begins to annoy you and become a bit heavy?), and no one I called was able to fit me in. I decided to risk it and try a walk-in at Saints. (I figured, what is the worst that could happen? They might be booked out, and that will be that.) To my great delight and relief, Jonathan was able to fit me in with Marty, and my wait time was very short. I am female, and new to this whole short hair thing, after shaving my head all of last year. Prior to that, I had long hair, and trusted only one stylist for the last 18-20 years, who rendered my gorgeous cut and color perfectly. I felt totally at ease here. They were very patient, friendly, welcoming, and kind. I had some pictures stored on my phone to help point Marty in the general direction I was after. I am very pleased with the cut, and it turned out super fresh. The price was also very reasonable. A couple of days later, the proprietor texted me to follow up and inquire as to the quality of my experience, and to make sure I was a happy customer. I am so impressed with these beautiful humans. Thanks y'all! I shall be back. Highly recommend. read more

I've been coming to saints for quite a few months now and have never had a problem before until I booked with Javin. One of the barbers once told me next time I came back I could just select the touch up option for my appointment so that is what I did. Problem was that I booked with Javin for the next visit. My appointment was at 4pm. Receipt says.... Duration: 30 MINUTES. I arrived at 3:55pm and had the usual nice saints greeting and got sat down. Once Javin came out and I told him what I wanted he told me that wasn't what I paid for and he didn't have time to do my haircut since he was really busy and I only payed for a touch up.... I told him im sorry I didn't know but I still wanted something done since im leaving to Santa Cruz the next day. He said again he didn't have time and I only paid for a small touch up which I guess is all he was willing to do.... He ended up making me choose... did I want to cut the top OR get a taper... I had already paid and needed the haircut ASAP so I said cut the top. he rushed through the haircut and left one side choppy and ended my appointment at 4:15 PM. 15 MINUTE $70 HAIRCUT!!!!!.. wait not even haircut... "TOUCH UP".... AND the receipt says I paid for 30 minutes. Kinda got scammed lol don't even know why I let him begin. Don't think I'll be coming back after this.. I felt a bit humiliated and scammed afterwords.. read more

For the new customers!!! First of all I was 10 minutes late because of traffic and my barber(Alex) told me with attitude "I can do only haircut or beard trim "( i had appointment for haircut + beard. 75 minutes session) so i chose haircut because I thought it takes 65 minutes to finish my haircut when he told me like that but he finished my haircut in 40 minutes and we had 25 minutes left for beard trim but he refused to do that. At least he could refund the beard trim part. The only reason i gave 2 stars because actual haircut wasn't bad but definitely he should work on his customer service skills and behavior. read more

Overall, great experience. Javin was attentive and a professional. Listened to what I wanted but also collaborated on what he thought would fit me the best. Been here a bunch of times and always tip in cash like $15-20. They changed my appointment from 2:30 to 2pm and I accommodated. I get there and they were busy cutting hair and my appointment didn't start until 2:15 when I said something. Then I figure out the employees were cutting each others hair... ok whatever. Haircut wasn't the greatest and I asked to fix a little bit of it and acted like I was bothering them. read more

Excellent barber shop. Been here twice so I know it's not a fluke. Everything about this place is great. Got a haircut from Russ O. both times, and both times he delivered a style that was within the parameters I requested, but with touches that made it better than expected. I liked the haircut I got so much the first time, I updated my professional portraits. I'm a programmer, a job for weird nerds, so it's completely non-essential to have a good headshot, but it's just that I was that excited about it that I decided to update them. Also a lot of little touches that set this place apart. They sell clothing, very trendy stuff which I'm tempted to buy. Even the chairs are great. The appointment was about an hour and usually I would've gotten back pain from sitting that long, but somehow didn't here. Russ offered me a cup of water for the road. Never had that anywhere before. I drive across LA to get here. It's absolutely worth it. read more

When you move to a new area, it's always tough to find a new barber. Trial and error is usually the only way. Sadly, my first trial was error. I went to a barber who really butchered my hair. I had a wedding a couple of days later. I text Devon from Saints (after seeing his cuts in IG) to see if he could fit me in any time in the next 3 days, as there wasn't a time available I could do. He offered to come in early on Saturday to make sure he could fix my hair for me before the wedding. My original haircut was awful. I was worried Devon wouldn't be able to fix it, we chatted about the options of how to go about it. He gave me recommendations and options to choose from. 45 minutes later, you wouldn't know what it had looked like before I sat in the chair. The attention to detail was 10/10. The conversation was easy and interesting. The barbershop is very cool with clothing for sale as well as cool pieces of art. All the barbers there were cool. $80 for a haircut is definitely steep, but I'm very particular about my hair and want it doing properly. True pro. 5*. Will be back in a few weeks. Thanks! read more

It's a bummer to write this. I honestly don't leave yelp reviews and never have... I'm a MDR local (living about a mile from this shop) and have frequented the shop multiple times over multiple years. Two issues... (1) They seem to be losing their barbers. I've rarely had the same barber twice, not because they haven't been doing great work, but because the barbers I've chosen often leave and then text me about alternative locations. This seems to be a red flag. (2) We had a COVID case at work today. Not a huge deal, but I also don't openly walk into public areas after being in close contact with a positive COVID test. At least until I know I am negative. I tried to reschedule the appointment (not cancel, reschedule) and the owner of the shop accused me of lying. He said it's 2023 and the excuse isn't real. This is an egregious concern for a business that brings their clientele so close to their employees, to the extent that their employees are physically touching their clients. Needless to say, I won't be returning. read more

Clean shop with talented barbers and punctual service. I've been going to Saints since I moved to LA (stumbled upon it). It's been a really good barbershop experience overall. It's a really clean shop with really talented barbers (I go to Jay who is good people). Update from my previous review. The owner contacted me and made my mediocre experience much better. He offered a better cut from one of his top guys. I definitely was not looking for a handout, but the location and vibe of this place are really cool. I like that the owner cares about his clients. I'll give them another shot now....how could I not with that level of care? Original review: I really wanted to like this place. I called and the place and the guy was super cool on the phone. I've walked past previously and I like the vibe so I thought I would give it a shot. There are just a couple of things that I didn't like. First off you prepay with tip when you make the appointment. I get why they do that but I don't like it because I like to tip after depending on the service. That's the point of a tip as I worked for them for 15 years previously. My guy ran 20 mins late from his previous appointment and I was just waiting there...they already had my money so I could not go elsewhere. I see why... he took forever to do my hair when most people I'm out in like 20-30 mins. I'm glad the guy before me in the meter already had 20 mins in there because I put an hour and only had 3 mins to spare...from only a haircut. I showed the guy pictures of me with previous haircuts I liked and the top he did a good job, but spent a really long time around my ears. When I left It was cut way too short around my ears...like he razored them up unnaturally, which I've never had and definitely didn't need with how the haircut was. Now it looks weird if I'm not wearing sunglasses till it grows out a little. There was also no hair wash...just sprayed some water on it. For about $100 cut, I expect more. read more

At saints there are always evolving, growing, becoming better. There only rival is themselves as they do not talk about what the other barbershop is doing but rather how do our guests feel and what do they want. Every barber in here: is friendly, smiles and as you know in barbershops, well the ones I know since my time here on this rock, there is always a conversation. If you want to sleep in the chair you can, if you want to rap it with the shop, you can, it's not loud as other barbershops so as I said you can fall asleep. The owner Daniel is a humble and genuine individual that you will see around on a regular basis, he builds rapport with his guests and call you by name and will more or likely remember something significant in your life that you shared, that is great guest service. Water is offered to guests and if you want another there's probably a small fee. There is free street parking (just pay attention to the signage posted so as to not cop a ticket) and some metered as well. Their first appointment can be made at 10am and I'm not sure what time they close. The shop is constantly being cleaned and these barbers use air to clean off the falling hairs, I really like that as that's even more sanitary. The equipment is updated as well because I occasionally hear the barbers sharing stories of new equipment that just launched and how it compares to what they already have so they are in the know about their field, keeping up to date on trends and practices in their craft. There is soundbar that plays music and you can pick up some apparel and hats at the shop as well. While you are waiting there are magazines to be read on a wide variety of topics and they are kept up to date. The neighborhood is nice and there is a El Pollo Loco, a mart and other shops around if you are hungry or want some coffee. I highly recommend Saints due to the family oriented experience, the neighborhood, the class off barbers and the care taken for the guest. read more
