Native Space has always been my go-to spot for haircuts, and for good reason. Anna, both the barber and owner, consistently brings a level of professionalism, warmth, and reliability that's hard to find. She doesn't just give you the cut you ask for; she takes the time to understand your hair, make thoughtful recommendations, and ensure your style grows out healthy, clean, and flattering. The shop itself is serene, clean, and easy to get to. Parking is never a hassle, which is a rare gift in West LA. Every visit feels like a small reset: good conversation, a mellow atmosphere, and a space where you can just relax while knowing you're in expert hands. I highly recommend Native Space--and Anna in particular--to anyone looking for a fresh cut, a skilled barber, and a place that truly feels like home. read more

Emily is the best of the best! She is the only person I have trusted to cut my hair for the past 5 years, and I'm impressed every single time. She's provides an exceptional experience and is always honest about what style will work best for my hair type. My hair grows quickly and she styles it in a way that grows out perfectly and does not require me to come in frequently to be touched up. Thank you Emily for making everyday a good hair day! read more

If you want a celebrity quality haircut ask for Emily. I've tried hairstyles I never thought I could pull off because of her. She somehow brings my vision to life. She LAYERS my hair, takes time to understand how it grows, and is always willing to switch it up with me. Not to mention I like the vibe of Native Space and it's a business I'm happy to support. read more

I found Native Space while living on the west side and even though I now live in Highland Park I still make the trip out to see Anna whenever I need a cut because I can't imagine getting a haircut from anyone else. Could I find a similar cut somewhere near my house? Sure. My hair is pretty basic - and to Anna's credit, she has even made recommendations for me to find someone closer to home - but to miss out on some 1:1 time with my ride or die would be too much to sacrifice, so I am forever stuck with Anna and she is stuck with me. Needless to say, can't recommend enough. Book well in advance so you can get Anna, she is the owner and the GOAT and you will not be disappointed. read more

By most metrics to become an expert at your craft it needs 10,000 hours. Anna cuts with the expertise and professionalism at that level x 10. On top of having the best haircut you've ever had, you'll probably have one of the best hours of your day sitting in her chair. She is calm, cool and charismatic. She's created something special at native space and the talented artists she's attracted to work beside her are the best. read more

Can't speak more highly about Emily. Genuinely one of the nicest humans and is gifted when it comes to figuring out the perfect haircut and executing on it. Can easily say I've tried a ton of different salons/barbers and she's given me the best haircut I've ever had. Native Space all around is a 10/10 barbershop - especially if you have a haircut that requires a lot of scissor work! read more

Emily FTW. After my last hairstylist left for NY, I was adrift, seeking someone to make me look the way I wanted. Emily nailed it. I'm a big fan and will definitely return. She takes her time, gets to know you, and actually pauses and checks in during the cut to make sure you're both on the same page. Highly recommend! read more

I've had hundreds of haircuts over the years; New York, Miami, and yes LA. Some have been good, some better than good, some have been, well, wear a baseball cap until it grows out. Through the grape vine, I hear about this place Native Space Salon and that I should go see Anna Piskoulian the owner and give her a try. From the meet and greet, I knew this salon was different. This place is awesome! Anna is a consummate hair professional who listens first and then advises you. She is an artist. By far, this is the best hair cut I have ever gotten. I've found my new place. One of the best haircuts I've gotten in a while. It's always a risk trying out a new barber, but Jay V. At the Native space is one of the best. The whole experience was great, would 100% reccomend! read more

I've been getting my hair cut by Emily for the past several months and I trust her whole heartedly with my hair. When she moved to this location it was worth the extra drive to get her level of care. She excels in giving a "lived in" haircut so it always looks like a natural grow out without needed to wait a week or two til it feels good. Native Space as a whole is a chill minimalist vibe that is super welcoming. Anna has done great things with the space. Overall great place to go. read more

Jay is simply the best there is! Been coming here for years and I'm always met with the best vibes and highest quality service.

Just got my first haircut from Anna at Native Space. It was great! I told her to "do anything" with my hair, and she ended up giving me the best haircut I've had yet. To top it off, she's created a very cool spot in Mar Vista for mens haircuts -- something that's warm, inviting, friendly, and modern. It's not the "hyper masculine" barber vibe you find in other barbershops -- rather, it's a breath of fresh air. Highly recommended! I'll be back read more

I've been coming to see Victoria for a few years now, her passion for helping men look and feel their best comes through in every interaction. She always does an amazing job, is super easy to schedule, and is very punctual. While I come for the haircut, I also feel like I always get a free therapy session as an added bonus! (Victoria is an excellent listener) Finally, Native Space itself has an awesome vibe and feels super comfortable. read more

It's my third time going to Emily Gonzales for a cut and I'm going to keep coming back because she understands what I'm trying to go for even when I'm not the best at voicing what I want. Came here for the first time at the end of June, got booked Bree and it was the best haircut I've ever gotten. Just called in and asked to be booked with Bree, and Anna, who I believe is the owner, said she doesn't even know who Bree is. Thankfully I was able to find where she works now. read more

I've been going to see Victoria for 4 years now and couldn't imagine going to anyone else to get my haircut after experiencing a pure genius at work, truly a master of her craft. It has almost been a burden how phenomenal my hair has looked over the past 4 years. I wish I could put it into words, but it would be easier to describe the Sistine Chapel than the artwork Victoria provides me every 3-5 weeks. She is a great person to talk to as well. read more
