Ask for Kenneth!!! Kenneth is hands-down the best of the best when it comes to fades and haircuts! For over 11 years, he's been my go-to barber, and every single time I leave his chair, I feel confident and fresh. Kenneth isn't just a barber--he's an artist. He's incredibly patient, meticulous, and truly passionate about his craft. His attention to detail is unmatched, and when it comes to fades, beard, and hairstyles he's nothing short of a perfectionist. If you want a flawless cut that will have you looking your absolute best, Kenneth is your guy. Don't wait--book your appointment with Kenneth Young today and experience the magic for yourself! I have a uniquely shaped head, and Kenneth has an incredible talent for making it look perfect. He masterfully blends and sculpts every cut to suit me perfectly, ensuring everything looks seamless and sharp.

This is their version of a .5 mid taper

2nd and last time coming to this barber shop. First time it was okay of a cut. But this second hair cut was pretty awful. I asked for a mid taper starting with a .5 and this is what I got. Not worth $55+ He also proceeded to educate me that next time ask for a fade.... Sir I'm 34 and I know what I want. I went to a barber down the street to fix it and had to pay again.

In need of a quick haircut before my flight from LAX. My man Angio did a great job in providing a cut based on a photo I shared with him. A little pricey for a buzz cut but maybe this is what DTLA prices are ($50 excl tip). Great place to swing by if you need a quick fix. Just make sure you get a photo of what you are looking for.

My barber Danilo is the best. We don't speak the same language so I always bring a photo of what I want and he does it exactly. Last time I let him be creative and this was what happened I get so many compliments and I can't wait to continue getting this cut. He's also not creepy like many other male barbers when they cut a pretty girls hair.

Luis Aranda hands down is one of the best barbers I've ever been cut by! I used to have a mohawk before and wanted to go really clean and simple, and just the amazing cut you can get for a simple haircut is PERFECT. I like my hair with a High black white contrast and I haven't met many who can do something so simple like this and look this clean. Thank you Luis for being so friendly and as well as the amazing haircuts. Cut to perfection!

More importantly, I needed someone who could handle Asian-textured hair, which many barbers struggle with. Enter Kei. I have a fairly simple understanding of hairstyles and proper hair maintenance. The barber Javin asked me questions about my usual hairstyle and went through suggestions regarding trimming technique. Ultimately, I went with low fade with and a touch up on the top. He mentioned my two hair whorls and overall head shape provided some considerations on what he thought would look natural, which I appreciated. In the end, the fade was perfect. Afterwards I went in for quick shampoo and conditioner which targeted my dandruff. While the location is somewhat out of the way for me, I can definitely rely on their dedication and handiwork.

I'd been getting the same high fade for a decade and wanted to try the longer wave thing everyone's doing. The first barber I asked for it butchered it, mostly because he'd never done a long cut in his life. Gianni took one look, diagnosed what was actually going on up there, and got me to a halfway cut. A couple months later, the cut grew in as he planned and he took me from 80 to 100%, right in time for my vow renewal. His profile calls him the brushback king and I couldn't agree more. Fair warning: he's meticulous, so plan on real time in the chair. You get what you pay for! Also book ahead. At least a month, in my experience. Gianni's popular and I've never once seen anyone get off the waitlist. The shop itself is worth the trip on its own. Great furniture, plants everywhere, and a back patio you can sit on if you're early or just want to hang. Vibes and the place is always clean. Their systems are top notch too. Plenty of notice before your appointment, everything organized, they offer you a drink when you sit down, and they use good products from the wash through the styling. The host is always so nice, everyone there is personable, and the music's great. One heads up: no parking lot. Street parking can be iffy if you catch a bad day, but there's usually at least one spot within a block. Go see Gianni!

But when he asked me what hair cut I wanted and showed him a picture of a burst fade Mohawk and he proceeded to ask have you had this haircut before. Then I showed him a picture of me with the haircut I wanted (which was a burst fade Mohawk) and he proceeded to say "is that really you". This was at the beginning of the hair cut. Mid way he asked a second time if I had ever had this hair cut before which I answered yes. Also at the beginning he had mentioned how much are we taking off the top. I mentioned just a little bit and we can work our way down. When it came to cutting the top I feel he had gone too low. At that point I just wanted to get out of the chair. I waited 2 days to post this just to see if my hair needed to settle in since I went from a wild lions mane to what ever this short hair cut I have now. But no matter how much I attempt to style my hair it just looks dumb. My feedback to Hin is if you aren't confident in cutting someone's hair then please just say so. Or if your specialty is clean cuts then tell your client so they can make the decision of sitting in the chair. I may come back to try with someone else to cut my hair since I feel the people here have some skill.

Valerie was my manicurist and she took her time giving me the full works on my very easy hands and toes because they were pretty short already but she was meticulous with everything. She did a great job. I liked the whole thing but as I look at some of the reviews the one thing I never hear anyone mention about is the price and at $150 for a Mani pedi some may say it's expensive, sheesh, I'm saying it. Lol Other than the price I enjoyed the experience as opposed to going to a regular nail shop. There are no drinks at some of the places I've been too. I'd do again, when I hit the lottery. I enjoyed it though and everything was finished in about an hour and ten.
