I found it!!! I found the button to fix my windbreaker!! So take that. I don't need your stinking' help, Miss Attitude. "Oh we can't fix a broken button, that needs to go to the factory in Shenzen...Impossible job". Are you kidding me? Replacing a button on a $40 windbreaker is mission impossible? What happened to the good old American spirit? What happened to rolling up your sleeves and getting to work? Ya just say "no"??? That's the best you got?? McGuyver woulda found a way. THE WORST!! Clothes smell like baby vomit! Last week i take in 10 shirts to get dry cleaned. I take five on a trip to europe and leave five at home in the original bag. When i get to europe, i take out the first shirt and it smells distinctly of baby vomit, not mildew or something else, but clearly baby vomit (we have two grown kids and know). All the shirts smelled the same. When i returned, i brought the remaining unopened five shirts to the store to show them. They opened one up from the plastic and agreed it smelled like vomit, but instead of offering to clean them again for free or offering even a suggestion of an apology, they told me it must have been something i did?!?! Again, the shirts were still folded and wrapped individually in the original plastic they were given to me, they opened them up in front of me! Anyway, clearly they mixed my shirts in with someones who had baby vomit. Stay away! I will never return. Going to the other brookfield cleaners on here with good reviews... OH, and the owner also threatened to sue me when i told him this was going on yelp. PLEASE send a lawyer my way for writing a factual yelp review, nothing would put a bigger smile on my face! read more

Brookfield Cleaners is terrific. They take care of the little details, like sewing on a loose button, and my dry cleaning is done perfectly. I've had many alterations done, from evening gowns to pants hems, and they were done so well. read more

Angelo and his staff are wonderful. I have used their services many times in the past and always had a great, friendly experience with my dry cleaning and alteration needs. I recently had a last minute conference to attend out of town. I asked if they could make some alterations to a new blazer and sport jacket. I didn't expect that they could accommodate the short timeline, but they were able to do so within 24 hours. Thanks so much for doing an amazing job! I also had a new pair of pants that needed shortening, also requesting a short timeline. They did so again with a smile. I typically have plenty of lead time to drop things off, allowing for whatever time is necessary for dry cleaning and alterations, but my last two events were out of the norm. I'm very appreciative of their services and know that they really do go above and beyond for the customer. I look forward to working with Brookfield Cleaners for many years to come... read more

They are wonderful! We have been using them for years and can say nothing but great things!! While my parents still live in Brookfield, I now live in Danbury and drive to them just to get my dry cleaning done. Angelo also sells great suits and men's apparel. I would not trust anyone else! They are the best! P.S. The one bad review I see absolutely baffles me! I am fairly new to Brookfield, and have taken the time to compare and acquaint myself with several local businesses to help determine which ones I plan to patronize. Although I nearly always read reviews first, I read them judiciously. For dry cleaning AND tailoring, after three visits, I have easily determined that Brookfield Cleaners & Tailors will be my go to place. The people there have been consistently friendly, always ready with a smile. The items I have bought in have come back without flaw, including an item that needed repair given to me many years ago by my mom. I highly recommend this business. read more

I am beyond impressed with Brookfield cleaners and tailors. I went to Angelo last Thursday. A friend had recommended him to me. I needed a dress altered for a wedding the next week. Everyone at the store was so friendly, and they were so kind to my daughter, who was cranky from a nap cut short. In less than 10 minutes Angelo has my dress pinned for tailoring, length and also both sides. He made sure it was comfortable and shaped. I went in Tuesday and the dress was ready and perfectly fitted. The customer service, speed, artistry and price were all amazing. I am so happy with how the dress turned out and that he was able to do it so quickly. I have another dress to drop off next week, and we will be recommending them to everyone. Thank you! read more

Hate giving negative reviews since I understand the vicissitudes of running a business. However, I also expect accountability in any business exchange. I brought a pair of selvedge raw jeans to taper and and hem last week. The seamstress came out and pinned the jeans to what I thought were clear instructions as to the fit and silhouette I desired. Picked up the jeans today and saw that the fit was far from the agreed upon parameters(knees were still too wide). I brought the jeans back to discuss mitigation but upon an obvious huddle in the back room with the seamstress, the owner Angelo comes out to deliver the message that nothing could be done to fix the matter and made me walk away completely unsatisfied with the reasoning. Don't know we're the gap is, but 'listening to the customer', which I thought was a basic tenet in the service industry, was absent in this circumstance. A pity since I was referred to this place by another local business owner who I trust implicitly for his integrity and quality of service. I believe in supporting local business and gave this place a chance but I'm going back to Klara's in New Milford who alters my suits and shirts with ease and perfection. The BEST Dry Cleaner in our area! I've patronized Brookfield Cleaners for many years and am always impressed with their service. I also have rented Tuxedos from them for proms, weddings & formal events. My wife and I have also utilized their Tailor service. Did I mention that their Tailor (Theresa) is ON-SITE? She's amazing! My wife had Theresa convert a few bridesmaid gowns into cocktail dresses!!!! I've yet to buy a suit from Brookfield Cleaners...but I did the math and Angelo's prices are THE BEST in our area. No gimmicks, just GREAT prices on suits! Most people don't know about how much Brookfield Cleaners gives back to our community. Whether it's giving suits to Veterans, supporting school programs or helping out the Volunteer Fire Dept. The DaCunha Family have always been very generous. The cleaners ruined my wife's shirt and when I spoke to the owner he was unapologetic and essentially blamed me for having the item dry cleaned! We have done a lot of business with them since they moved but no more. A totally rude place - oh forgot to mention that they did even call me after I dropped the shirt off -ruined- I had to go back in. read more

Incredibly rude staff. Brought a couple work pieces in to be mended and hemmed. They argued with me. Said the pieces wouldn't fit right and they just couldn't do the job. I found another person to do the job- no problems. Nasty people, spend your money elsewhere. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. It is awful. They ruined a designer dress that was brought in just to be shorten by 1 inch. The owner, Angelo, is incredibly rude and actually screamed in my face when I asked what happened. Never go here. They will destroy your clothing and take no responsibility.
