Do not order flowers from this place for a loved one on a holiday. I've been burned twice now (Mother's Day and Valentines Day) - they failed to make a delivery on both occasions for my wife. Sure, I feel pretty stupid for going back after the first time. Why did I give them a second chance? I'm local and like to support small businesses. It's simply an unacceptable business practice to take orders on a busy holiday revolving around flowers when they knowingly do not have the bandwidth / infrastructure to handle high volume. It almost felt like they had planned different excuses when I physically went to the store to check on my order twice this past Valentines Day. I was reassured the flowers would be delivered in the afternoon and again at night (too late for a Valentines Day gift regardless). I'm embarrassed I gave them a second chance and will discourage friends and family in the South Bay area from giving this place business in the future. Terribly disappointed. read more

We hired Brooke to do our flowers for our wedding in July. At first, Brooke was very nice, professional and met with us twice to go over flowers we wanted for our wedding. The first and second meeting went well and Brooke took her time with my wife and I to go over any questions we had as well as concerns. Brooke picked the flowers we wanted and the color scheme which we really appreciated. When it came down to finalizing our flowers and plans is when Brooke really let us down. We were supposed to meet with Brooke to finalize our flowers for the wedding and make any other adjustments in our third meeting. My wife and I live in the valley and drove an hour and a half to Redondo Beach to meet with Brooke, only to find out she did not show. We got no message or phone call prior that she could not make the meeting. We messaged her and it took her hours to respond with she was sick and could not make it as well as her daughter supposedly forgot to call us because we were not in the books. We made another appointment with Brooke and when we met her for the next appointment (after the one she no-showed), Brooke showed up 30 minutes late with no courtesy of telling us she would be late because we had to call her again to remind her we had an appointment. When Brooke showed up she walked passed us and stated, "I promise I have a good excuse this time." There was no apology or any accountability whatsoever. At this point we had our appointment and were just hoping she would just show up and do her job the day of the wedding. Well, as you would guess Brooke showed up 2 hours later than the time she told us. My wife called her an hour before we were supposed to take pictures to find out where Brooke was. Instead of being empathetic or apologetic, she said " I will be there on time to set up for pictures if you get off the phone with me." How professional, right? Our chuppah was not set up on time when we started the pictures and also the chuppah was not set up to what and how we envisioned the chuppah would be when we discussed it at our meetings. The centerpieces were rushed and you could even see the green foam where the flowers were stuck in on some of the centerpieces. My wife also had her bouquet preserved by Brooke which was not done correctly and took forever to get back. Oh and it took a month after my wife texted her 5 times to finally get a response about getting the bouquet back. I also had to leave her a voicemail to remind her about the bouquet and to also message my wife back. Overall, I would definitely would not recommend Brooke's Flowers for any special event. Brooke was unprofessional, rude, disrespectful and did not take any accountability for her tardiness, unresponsiveness and her no shows. Brooke was also very disorganized throughout the whole process. I hate to write this and be negative, but it was disappointing all this happened on a day that was so important in mine and my wife's lives. read more

Did not deliver any flowers even though I was charged and received an email that flowers were delivered. The phone number at the bottom of the email receipt is not working. I was reimbursed but communication is difficult and glitchy. The flowers may indeed be beautiful, but I suggest not placing an order via the website. I ordered flowers online from this business for my friend who lives nearby the shop. I gave them detailed delivery instructions so there would be no problems. In the notes I requested that they send me a picture of the flowers as delivered on the porch. Her house # is prominently visible on the porch. I received an email saying the flowers were delivered but it was not accompanied by a photo as requested. My friend's husband said no flowers were delivered. I emailed them; got no response. The phone number listed online and at the bottom of the email played a message saying "this number is not set up to receive phone calls. " I intended to dispute this charge, but then the shop credited me back. The owner sent me a very nice email explaining that a few tech glitches prevented our communications. When she realized what had happened, she credited me back immediately and offered to deliver the flowers anyhow. This made me feel like she cared about my business. I had already had flowers delivered from a different shop though, so I didn't need that. It's too bad about the headache this caused me. I will probably not try it again, even though she did take action to make it right. The aggravation and missed opportunity were not good for me. read more

My five star review is not because of the bouquet of flowers we received as an apology at no charge, but rather how she handled the whole situation. I didn't know what my friend's favorite flower is but I trusted Brooke and she literally knocked it out of the park. Being from Massachusetts, we have a local flower shop that we have used for over 20 years that we are extremely loyal to. When it's Valentine's Day or my birthday - my dad goes down and orders with them. They contact a florist out here to create an arrangement and deliver it to me. The past few years have been so disappointing. They've gone through a florist in Marina Del Rey, one in Redondo and another in Torrance. On a weekday, I came in 30 minutes before they closed and walked out with a beautiful assortment of roses. (I mean, I don't recommend coming in minutes before they close but really appreciated their accommodation & kindness, lol.) For $25, the man put together nine roses, greens and eucalyptus leaves for my friend's birthday gift. The Yelp check-in discount was also honored in addition to the extra roses. Tip: do bring cash -- at the time, they couldn't find the chip for credit/debit cards so I went to the ATM.
