I was looking for flowers to place on my loved ones' graves, and I randomly went into Growing Wild to inquire about them. The shopkeeper was super kind and made some beautiful bouquets with roses, tulips, and a bunch of other flowers I didn't know the names of (but gorgeous nonetheless)! She even packed them into a box for easy transport, which was much-needed! Total was $65 for two bouquets, which was reasonable and I'm really glad how they turned out. Weird experience and rude customer service. My boyfriend walked in to purchase a bouquet of roses for me and the workers assumed the flowers were out of his price range...They did not question other customers buying flowers but asked if he "was sure" several times because of their price point. Review based on customer service. They have nice quality products there. I brought in a plant purchase what i thought was around 2 years ago. As it was falling apart they gave me instructions on how to remedy and offered to repair themselves after the holiday. I did the tedious steps myself to a T as instructed but brought it in as it was declining rapidly. I got cut off immediately being told it was clearly something over 2 years old. I asked if they could help as they used broken glass as decoration in the vase and i wanted to recover the plant. I was told i would be charged for a new plant as well as for the labor involved in the process. This about face after i was led to believe on visit 1 that they 'would take care of it' was disappointing. Especially when i took the effort to follow their instructions to facilitate the process. My boyfriend called me as it was nearing time for me to clock out of work informing me that he had ordered me flowers and he had been waiting all day for me to receive them. I called the flower shop inquiring after my flowers in the order, to ensure that they had had the right address. It turns out that they had been delivered and someone in my building had stolen my red roses. But without missing a beat they asked me where I lived and told me that they would deliver me a new bouquet of flowers for Valentine's Day. They arrived a few hours later. This is a beautiful arrangement, but not what I expected after asking for a jewel toned arrangement heavy on blue and purple, light on yellow and orange. The pink roses are the only blooms I would call jewel toned. A $284 lesson to always send a picture when you call in an order for specific colors. read more

My order was delivered at 10:30am and left outside of the recipients house. I was not called until 4:30pm and told this information. When I asked the delivery person why he didn't call me sooner so that I could call the person I sent the bouquet to and let them know their flowers were just left sitting in the HOT sun all day..his response.."I don't know." I then called the store and received a call back two days later with an apology. I've used this store for years. This is unacceptable. At a minimum they should have re-sent the delivery or refunded me the order. Clearly the flowers were ruined sitting outside all day. Very disappointing read more

I googled and ran across the "Low Glass Cylinder with Succulents" orchid arrangement. I was on a budget and was excited to find something for $90 with free delivery in Manhattan Beach. I ordered it online without speaking to a representative and selected "next day" delivery. My phone rang in the morning from a most happy, elated sister-in-law. She was so touched and blown away by the beauty of her arrangement. She sent me a picture and I immediately called Growing Wild to let them know how grateful I am. **I would love to see more orchid arrangements with similar creativity and size in this price range from Growing Wild so I can order for my sister in law on every occasion. I called to get some very specific flowers for a photo shoot. They took my name and information and said they'd have the flowers at 8:30am the following morning, plenty of time for me to get to my 10am photo shoot. The next morning, no flowers. And it didn't seem all that important to them. Well, at 9 months pregnant with a baby who has been nicknamed "buttercup" for months, having those flowers for my "belly photos" was pretty important to ME. I called a local shop rather than a Big Store thinking my business would matter more to them. Silly me. Fortunately, the grocery store down the street had the flowers and the florist there gave me a hug when she saw how happy I was to find my flowers. So if you need flowers for a time-sensitive occasion like a photo shoot... birthday... wedding... anything, really, don't trust this place. read more

Terrible customer service! And I agree with the other reviewer, when you go in, they do not acknowledge you for a long time, which really comes across as rude. We're new home owners in the area and I stopped in during the fall and talked with Andrew about creating a very special arrangement for my foyer. He seemed helpful and said to come back when I was ready to move forward with the project. I liked the idea of patronizing a local business. So, I called the first week of February to get going, realizing it may not be complete until late in the month. He said he was busy with Valentine's Day and that I should come in the following week on a specific day when he would be through the holiday and back in the shop. I didn't want to wait a week to begin, but agreed. I asked if there was a certain time I should come in on that day; he stated, no, that he is always there. I went in on the day he requested and discovered that he had taken the day off. I looked around at plants and containers with the women who was working, but she advised that I really needed to meet with Andrew, apologized for him not being there as scheduled, took my info, and said he would call me. She also stated that he is usually in until 2:00. Well, I waited for the call, which never came, so I went in to the shop again to meet with him specifically coming in before 2:00. He had left early she said, this time apologizing that he hadn't called after the last no show. She said to call next time before I come in to ensure he is there. I couple days later I called in the morning to let them know I was coming in to get moving on this project. I was told Andrew was out to lunch and would be back in 30 minutes. I said I would come in then, when he returned. The women stated that I shouldn't come in, but instead he would call me when he returned. Over an hour passed, she called back rather than him, said that he had come in early that day and decided to go home at 1:00, maybe I could come in tomorrow! At this point, I've wasted a month trying to do business with this shop and I am done. Their service was frustrating, insulting, disrespectful and just plain rude. I do not recommend Growing Wild to anyone and I look forward to building a relationship with a business that values their customers. read more
