This place is better than the 3 stars I'm seeing. It's a comfy little place, the employees clearly love it and act as a family, it's a locally owned place, the food is decent pub fare and they get a chill crowd. What's not to like?

3.5/5 I came here for the first time with friends before going to a concert right next door at Roadrunner. This was such a convenient location to pregame with friends before going to the concert. There is plenty of seating and also a pool table + shuffleboard. You order your drinks at the bar but food with a QR code at your table. I liked the beer selection and the food was pretty decent. The tater tots were 10/10! My bf got the reuben sandwich which was okay and my mac n cheese with pulled chicken was the same--but I wouldn't have expected the food to be amazing at a beer hall. I initially had some beers but decided to branch out later with a cocktail. The mango habanero mule was offensively spicy (and I enjoy spicy things)! So be warned, the spice level is a bit too high and definitely lingers in your mouth/throat for hours afterwards. Overall a solid atmosphere, I would recommend sticking to the basics here with beer + bar food.

Was definitely an off-night but it worked out for us since there was plethora of seating everywhere. As the sign says once you walk in, just go find a table - easy as that. Fair prices for beer and the board on the wall behind the bar shuffles and changes every so often to show you what's available on tap, which is a pretty cool feature. It also shuffled to spell out 'Last Call' throughout the board. The draft and cans and bottles are fairly extensive for whatever your palate desires on certain nights. Multiple TVs adorn the area, seating is varied depending on the placement in the establishment with sit-down tables near the twin shuffleboards, high-tops in the center and a couple couches and the backwall bench seating with back pillows near the pool table. Service was friendly and professional throughout. The music was on the louder side but the soundtrack brought back memories of the 90s and 00s. Parking can be a challenge on the outside main and side streets depending on the time of day or even when there's a concert in the adjacent Roadrunner music venue. Another option is to take the risk and park at Stop and Shop or Stockyard and walk the 2 minutes.

Night one we had an old fashion & the knee deep in passenger seat--both top notch! I paid more for my old fashioned earlier at the Ritz--this one was way better! With our daughter we had almost the rest of the menu: tropic like its hot, dirty gin martini, sour smash (gin) then mahattan, espresso martini & dirty shirley float. And she sent us celebratory house daiquiri shots with a bday candle. This is our new "go to" place. Emily & her team (Becca & India) were awesome hosts & helped us celebrate & remember this moment.

I would come here again, but maybe on a weekday night or earlier on Fridays or Saturdays.

There was a great singer, pianist, and sax player to really set the mood. They were super fun, especially when a couple got engaged! To start, I got their ginger martini and while my friend went with a Do-er neat (not a whiskey drinker myself, lol). He tried to order 2 of their beers but they were out of both. My drink came after 15 mins and then we had to remind the waiter about his whiskey. That took another 10. We started with the chicken bao buns and the samosas. Both spectacular! My only complaint is the little size for the samosa size. For our mains we got the short rib and the white butter chicken. The butter chicken could've used a bit more chicken for the price and was frankly a bit tough. The sauce was great. The short rib was flavorful and packed the perfect punch. Dipping the garlic naan in both sauces was my fav part!! Overall an ok experience. I want to give the restaurant grace because it was very packed but service was poor. I think we had 4 different staff members help us total which probably led to lots of miscommunication.

Alas, I came with my wife and daughter for a late dinner. And on that basis, it fails. Question. How does one ruin onion rings? Seriously. I've never been to a sports bar that botched fried menu items. The onion rings were rubbery and over-fried to oblivion. Not to mention, there were five of them. Five onion rings? Was it a small order? No. And they weren't the giant ones where you could say, ok I get it -- those are giant onion rings. The order was five average sized onion rings, which ended up being four too many since they were inedible. Not a good start. I had the fish and chips (I ordered this before I knew this place didn't know how to make bar food). The order was two small over-fried fish portions, and a handful of fries. The fish wasn't as epically bad as the onion rings, but they weren't good by even my lowly Michigan standards. The fries were ok and that measure makes them the strongest fare of the meal. Wife's salad was drenched with dressing. Daughter's fettuccini Alfredo was watery and weird tasting. The ambiance is great for a sports bar. Great old features and ample tvs to see the game. But this is not a kitchen to rely on. Come here for beer and TV and you'll be fine.

They have their seasonal cocktails that you can choose your choice of liquor for and martinis (both vodka and gin). They brew their espresso fresh as well so the space smells so good every time it is brewed. I got a Peru Plunder and it was fruity and light (a dangerous one). Their apple pie old fashioned has an interesting aftertaste in a good way. The bartender and the server were attentive and friendly as well. Food 5/5: every dish we ordered represented Sichuan flavors well, especially the spiciness of it! Our favorites were the eggplant with spicy garlic sauce, with the chengdu dry hot chicken and the string beans. The braised beef with Napa cabbage and mapo tofu were also delicious. Ambience 3/5: super loud. It wasn't even the music, it was that people's conversations were bouncing off the walls in a small space such that it was not possible to hear the other people in my group except who I was sitting next to. I saw several dates there and hopefully they could hear each other ok. Drinks: 2/5 overpriced and disappointing. My Negroni was ok but my husband's Manhattan tasted watery like it had been shaken instead of stirred and the melon highball tastes medicine-y. Overall a good experience because we were hungry and the food was amazing. We made up for not hearing each other well by taking an evening stroll and talking as we walked.
