Cool brewery! Don't get stuck drinking too many beers here if have to drive back up the mountains to get to your cabin. The tables are chair lifts, so cool. My family and I played apples to apples and had a few beers. The breweries' dog made its rounds saying hello to everyone. Great addition to breck! read more

Fun place with great beers! The coconut porter and the chocolate espresso stout were my favorites, my husband loved the pilsner and the double IPA. I wish their beer was available outside of Breckenridge. Will definitely have to come back - just the coconut porter is worth the trip from Denver! read more

We went to Broken Compass after getting a massage in town. We called the FREE shuttle that Broken Compass offers. He was there to get us in less than 15 min. Seating is first come first serve. The beer was cold and delicious! If we weren't flying home I would have bought a growler of the Coconut porter! read more

Broken Compass Brewing - Breweries Near Me - Breckenridge, Colorado

Super chill brewery with local vibes. Me and a group of 6 girls came here because our friend worked there at the opening weekend of the season. It was also recommended to us by several locals as their favorite brewery in town. We called the free shuttle and it picked us up right outside of our restaurant in downtown Breck and took us straight there. Our driver Mike was great and pulled up to pick us up within 5 minutes. Great beers, pale ales, lagers, stout, even an Irish red! And flights if you want to sample multiple beers at once. Super chill vibes at the brewery and they support local artists and jewelry makers. They even showcased a ski movie to a full house earlier in the evening before we arrived. Our driver Mike waited for us and even after closing he let us know it was last call for the shuttle and even waited when we wanted to buy T-shirt's. He dropped us back off where we were staying in downtown Breck with some great stories. Had a great time and will definitely be back. Thanks Mike, Rob & the rest of the Crew! read more

This place kicks so much butt! They offer so many different types of beer, they easily stand on their own, and it's such a cool spot! It's a bit off the beaten path, but it's worth the drive north out of Breckenridge. My favorite was the Coconut Porter, but again, each beer stood on its own and was a worthy contender. I wanted to go back the next day. Then I mentioned them to people hiking up Mt. Quandary. So yes, you could say I'm a fan. read more

Holy heck, if you're in Breckenridge then you MUST stop here! The unassuming location of this place is a little outside of the village center, but it is definitely worth coming to (only a 5/10 minute drive). My boyfriend and I drove past this place on our way in to ski for the day, and thought we should stop in after we were finished on the mountain. Boy were were glad we did. The chocolate coffee stout might be one of the best beers I've ever tasted. The aromatics of this beer were impeccable, and complimented the taste wonderfully. I wish we had ordered a flight and stayed here longer, but we were very hungry and needed to go into town for food. Although, it is good to note that you can bring your own food in here to accompany your beer as well. Broken Compass will be the first stop I make the next time I am in Breckenridge! Friendly and knowledgeable service, and decadent beers! What's not to love? (And the beers are way better than another brewery this town is known for...) read more

Boyfriend and I came in to try their beer and fell in love- their beers are all really high quality! There are no off flavors and the flavors they're going for are all pronounced and not watery like some other craft breweries give you. The ambiance is fun too with ski lifts as chairs. The staff is friendly and give help with recommendations of what to order in food-wise. It is also dog friendly which is nice for a mountain weekend. I highly recommend stopping here! read more

Best beer and atmosphere of any place I went on a four day trip to Breckenridge (Apres is a very close second). Fun down to earth vibe - lots of families, dogs and friends chatting and hanging out. I really liked the chili pepper ale. It's a little outside of downtown Breckenridge but worth the visit (no food, which knocks it down a star). read more

This brewery is such a blast! It's like the ones at home. They don't serve food but you can bring your own if you are hungry. They are dog friendly too! The beer options are awesome. I got the 6 taste flight. I loved all the flavors. The ginger one was perfectly refreshing, I would love to have a glass on a hot day. I also really liked the coconut porter. Being from San Diego I like my IPAs to be super hoppy and crisp. The broken compass has a fun take on IPA that's a little different but still very flavorful. read more

Love this place! They were on point with all their beers! I love places like this. Small, good beers served by good people. Their coconut porter is absolutely amazing! Their IPA is really good too. When in Breck, put this place on your list! read more

Favorite by far is the Coconut Porter. I don't even like porters and I took a growler home. Going back for another one tomorrow. The second is the Chili beer...beautiful balance of flavors and not overbearing with heat. I can't truly say that this is by far in my top 5 of favorite breweries. I would be sad to miss out on this little gem. read more

Broken Compass Brewing - Flight - Breweries Near Me - Breckenridge, Colorado

Part of me doesn't want to review this place so it doesn't get overrun with people who don't deserve to know about it. The other part of me thinks that everyone who loves beer (and even those who don't) need to come here immediately to try all of the beer. All. Of. It. I'm like Goldilocks when it comes to beer - too hoppy, not enough flavor, too fruity, blah blah blah. My friend and I tried a flight of 8 beers and holy crap, I liked ALL of them. The stouts. The IPAs. The ales. The ambers. The browns. The crazy flavored ones. Go there now. Sit on a gondola. Drink great beer. Talk to the owner and the people who work there. You will not be disappointed. read more

If you're looking for a low-key place to escape the crowds at Breck and try some great beer, this is it! A relatively new brewery with a wide-variety of choices, Broken Compass has a very local vibe to it and is an aweosme apres ski destination. The only downsides are the distance from downtown Breckenridge (only 5-10 minutes) and the lack of food options. Still, don't let this stop you from checking this place out! read more

What a great mountain brewery! The location is a bit awkward in an industrial park outside of Breckenridge, but it's right by Breck Distillery, and is the perfect distance to ride up on a bike from Frisco (or down from Breck). The inside is fairly spacious, with a clean mountain bar style. They have plenty of outside seating along the side. I rode up there in the afternoon for a quick beer. GET THE COCONUT PORTER. I love dark beer but have never been much of a coconut fan, but my god that beer is good. It's got this beautiful toasted coconut flavor to it that works really well with the porter. I also tried a sip of the chile pepper pale ale, which was not my cup of tea (but if you're a fan of peppery beer, you can definitely taste the pepper in it). I can't wait to come back to try more of their beers! read more

Had a blast today at Broken Compass catching up with old friends and drinking great beers. The Hefe was everything you want - cloudy, banana-y, drinkable. The Lime Chili specialty brew was one of the best renditions of a chili beer I've had yet (and I've had a ton as they are my favorite). The atmosphere was fun and relaxed and the view was just as great. What a great end to a perfect honeymoon! read more

This is hands down the best beer and service. Love the coconut porter and ginger pale ale, but honestly every beer is great! Always come here every year on our trip at least once and look forward to it every year. Love, love, love read more

Love this place! Coconut Porter is worth the stop! Casual, bring your own food, dog or kids!

This was a bit off the beaten path for us but totally worth it! I had the strawberry rhubarb beer. Very flavorful!! One of the best parts was our bartender Benji. He was knowledgeable and friendly and made sure we made it home safe. I would definitely go back! read more

We used to love Broken Compass when it was pretty new and really until our visit this summer it seemed that the vibe changed. It used to be really laid back but on our last visit it felt as though other people and groups there had snooty attitudes. Maybe it was a bad night, maybe they've gotten a little too big for their britches , I don't know. Can't say we'll be rushing back any time too soon read more

Broken Compass Brewing - Breweries Near Me - Breckenridge, Colorado

Broken Compass is BY FAR the best brewery in Summit County! If you're in Breckenridge, stop by and ask for Jake. He is the man!

Great beer, great vibes, staff and music. Great place to grab a beer after a hike. Bartenders friendly

Jake was amazing! He was very friendly and even with a full house we were taken care of!

I love this place so much. We walked in to pass some time. The beers are great, and reasonably priced. There are dogs just hanging out and getting everyone to pet them. The bartender is on point and always aware if you need anything. It's comfortable and relaxed, and the chili pepper pale ale is really spectacular! read more

I wasn't sure what to expect when I walked into this brewery. I had heard good things from others so I came in with a positive mindset. My boyfriend and I met up with some friends and as soon as we stepped in, wee were greeted by a pet friendly atmosphere and a laid back vibe. The brews on tap had variety and I had ordered a double IPA which wasn't to heavy for me and not too light as well. The only downside to the whole experience is that the power was out, but no one really seemed to mind. The bartender was really nice and apologized for the inconvenience. As we were about to leave the power came back on and you could really see the comfortable layout of the bar. We'll definitely be back again soon! :) read more

This is a MUST if you love craft beer and are in the Breckenridge or Dillon/Frisco area. They have a small tasting room that is dog-friendly, and kid-friendly too. Food is available to order from several other restaurants for delivery to the brewery. We enjoyed a flight with several different beers, and all were GREAT. They also have a free shuttle, and saw it around town taking people to and from downtown Breckenridge. read more

I tried all six beers, and each was more delicious than the next. The coconut porter and Chili Pale Ale stood out as exceptionally good. One thing to note is that this is a brewery not a brew pub. They do not serve food, but the owner said that they will have ovens and grills soon for people that want to bring their own food. My only suggestion is that they introduce at least one American Style Pilsner so there is a less exotic option. In the mean time, I think anyone looking for that style of beer should try their Belgian Wit, which is very drinkable with citrus and coriander notes you would expect in a Belgian beer. read more

Awesome brewery! The staff was so friendly and I love that they let dogs just hang out. They have a food truck visit daily and the menu was pretty decent. They also have a stash of games for when you are hanging out and trying their beers. Most importantly, the beers were great! I am not into IPAs, but there was a nice variety. Great place!! read more

The amazing thing about Broken Compass is that every beer they brew hits exactly the right flavor profile. Whether it's the Coconut Porter, Ginger Pale, IPA or anything else on their menu you literally can't go wrong. So many breweries specialze in one type of beer then fall short in others but that is not the problem here. Me & a buddy first discovered it this summer on our way back from hiking Quandary and it is now a stop I make every time I am up from Denver just to get a growler fill. My buddy isn't so lucky to be up in Breck as often as me so he's actually given me a growler to keep in my trunk just so when I stop I can grab him a Coconut Porter fill. Yes, it is that good. read more

For a couple of beer enthusiasts, stumbling upon Broken Compass completed our snowboard/beer tasting week in CO. Lindsay greeted us right away with a smile and a list of the beers on tap. We chose a flight of 9. We couldn't pick a favorite. Hands down, these brewers know what they're doing. Best beer we've had in all of Colorado. The black IPA, ginger pale ale and Helles were top three if we had to narrow it down. Left with some great merchandise and bellies full of some incredibly delicious beer. We will most definitely be returning! Thanks Lindsay!! read more

I don't know if I've ever given a 5 star rating. I knew I wanted to check this place out based on its beer list and rating, but we were in the area before it was opened, so we proceeded into Breckenridge and left our car at the hotel to walk the town. Suddenly, we spotted a van with Broken Compass Shuttle written on it. Destiny took charge and we met Mike, an incredibly friendly and interesting person. He gave us a free lift to the brewery. Daniel, our server was charming and knowledgeable. The beers were amazing and the other customers were fun to chat with. This is a dog friendly place. They've opted to not serve food so people can bring in dogs. You can't beat the view of the Rockies. It's hard to pick a favorite beer. Try a flight and decide. read more
