We waited and waited and waited fir one of the two servers who kept walking past our table to wait on us. NOPE. Didn't happen. The place is noisy, crowded, smells bad, and has lousy service. We'll NEVER go back there. read more

Great vibes Casey creates a nice ambiance in the place. I've been here before, but I really enjoyed my time here today. Cydni is really great too. She remembers people and makes them feel remembered and important. Really cool place. Used to live up here. Stopped in to see the place. Gotta leave a review. Great spot read more

I met my supervisor for a lunch/working session here at Brockway pub, and was very impressed with the food! However, the service was not so good. We waited for at least 30 minutes before the server, Sandy, waited on us and took our order. We then waited another 30 minutes for her to bring us our drinks. By then, another server took over for her and took our food order. From then on , it did get better, but was not happy with the overall service experience. Sandy did appear to have an attitude and acted like she did not want to be there working. I can understand people having a bad day, but you still have to do your job and show great customer service to the guests. The clam chowder I had was out of this world, and probably one of the best clam chowder I have ever had to date! That made up for the bad service experience. ALL in all, I'm sure this is a great pub to hangout at and drink beer, but the service needs to improve a bit among the staff. read more

Brockway Public House is your typical run of the mill (Irish) pub. They have outside seating which is always a plus and when the weather is nice they have massive windows they can open which make you feel like you are basically sitting outside. They have a small corner that is dedicated to Darts. Who doesn't love a good dart throw? The food is pretty average. I got a hummus wrap and fries. The fries are big fat steak fries and the wrap had a bit too much hummus. However, the portion size was huge and they were having a special that day with all sandwiches (wraps included) only $6! Definitely couldn't complain with that kind of price! Ive gone twice and the service was always good. I will say, for it being practicaly empty on a Monday afternoon I thought the food would come out a little bit qucker, esp since it was lunch time and people need to get back to work. read more

The food here was good, but terrible customer service. Yikes. The waitress we had today was not very friendly at all.

Way lucky enough to have Dominic as our server. Knowledgeable, friendly, and had great recommendations. Also advised that this is a great place to check out Premier League football. If you get a chance, ask for him when you come. Fantastic service! Thanks, Dominic! read more

Brockway is a-okay. Not bad, not great. Standard Irish pub. I ordered the salmon BLT for lunch served with chips. I was here for a lunch meeting, and the waitress reserved the larger high stool seating in the corner for more privacy and space. It was a little hard to get in and out of those seats, but it worked. Two notes: we had to flag down our waitress to tell her we were ready to order before we jumped into our meeting, and flies kept landing on our table/food. One person at our table even commented "I fee like I'm outdoors camping with all these flies." Presumably, they flew in through the open door, but it was still distracting and gross. read more

Great place, great beer, great atmosphere. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great Irish pub.

As a Brit I was so happy when I moved and found this place only 11 minutes from my house. It claimed to have award winning fish and chips. It has a nice pub atmosphere and everything seemed nice. I ordered the scotch eggs which seemed to be over done by lot. The fish and chips was just okay. I've had a lot better from other places. The price was Insane !! For 1 Guinness, scotch eggs, shepherds pie and a coke it came up to whopping $67 ( for lunch ! ) And I don't think I'd go back there to eat. I may go back for a few drinks. But I was slightly disappointed there. I must mention the service was great. My server did a wonderful job of making us welcome. read more

Came here for trivia night, hanging with friends, and good food. I got the nachos and we got fried pickles. Both were awesome. The nachos weren't too big of a portion, so they'd be perfect for one person or combined with other shareables. The cheese on the nachos was beer cheese and added a unique flavor. I would definitely get them again. Trivia was fun too. There was plenty of time to socialize with friends and play. read more

Mackenzie was our waitress and after a good evening I tipped 20%. She complained to the other waitress of my tip and the two printed me off a new receipt to tip again after the 20% tip so I left at 15% tip and they kicked me out saying "come back when you know how to tip" read more

The food was okay. Service was slow for a Friday unfortunately there was only one waitress. Sandwich was bleh. Friends got the fish and chips and liked it a lot. I should've gotten the fish. read more

When you walk into Brockway you immediately feel like a family. The staff make you feel welcomed. I have lived nearby and always enjoy seeing the staff with their high energy and positive attitude. Drinks and outdoor seating is a unique plus. The fish chowder and flying chicken wings with the whiskey sauce is out of this world. read more

I travel to Indy on a regular basis. I specifically went back to this place, because of a good experience in the past. Tonight was an experience that will ensure that I never return. The bartender barely acknowledged me, I knew exactly what food I wanted to order. I ordered a shepherds pie and asked for it to go. When I go back to the hotel room and open the bag, I was shocked, surprised, disappointed and frankly, quite pissed. Instead of putting it in a proper container, they poured it into tinfoil and then put it in the sandwich container and sent me on my way. I didn't realize it until I got back to the hotel. It's virtually inedible. I called mediately and asked to speak with a manager, and I was told that there was no manager available, but they can take a message. I had seen the manager in the back office while I was there and when I asked further " so there's no one there in charge" the lady answered "that's right". read more

I'm torn between "meh" and "A-OK" Is "Meh-ish" acceptable? Actually, the food was either great or...meh. But a couple of things kept us from having a really good experience. We dined about 430 on a weekday afternoon. There was us, one other table, and a couple of people at the bar. The music was loud. Like "we can't carry on a conversation loud". So loud, our server had to ask me to repeat my order a couple of times because she couldn't hear me. Now, mind you...I'm not a quiet man. It was REALLY loud. I'm sure, as a result, my sandwich came out wrong. I had ordered a breaded tenderloin with my standard toppings, Mayo, Ketchup, and Onion, and I got pickle, mustard, and lettuce. In addition, the breading kind of "slid off" the meat, leaving me with a grilled tenderloin and some breading on my plate. In all fairness, the flavor was decent, but...you get the picture. On the other hand, my wife's meal was just amazing. Although I wish them well, it's someplace I don't see returning. read more

They have trivia nights on Wednesdays!!! All around this bar is a great atmosphere and is a great location. Walking distance from many apartment complexes in the area! Good beer selection and good food, but when it comes to the wait staff I've never had luck with them checking on our table and you almost ALWAYS have to flag them down. read more

This was my second time here (6/6). Both were on Wednesday Trivia nights which is also 50cent wing night. It has a cool atmosphere with decent food. the wings are definitely worth it on Wednesdays . Ordered the teriyaki & Whiskey wings this time (Last time I had the Guinness sauce (7.5/10)) and enjoyed them although the teriyaki wasn't really a sauce, it was very watery (5/10). The whiskey was better but nothing special (7/10) Also ordered a side of the Euro Chips that came with some sort of creamy sweet sauce that I did not care for. Since this place is so close I'll be back on Wednesday and try to find a sauce I really enjoy. read more

The food can only be described at the best as poor. The fish and chips contain virtually no fish. Chips were stale and cold. The shepherds pie had an abundance of cheese and Limited lamb. The drinks were okay. Service was impacted by a limited number of staff. Can't imagine we will ever return. if you ever need help on how to make a proper shepherds pie please let me know! read more

I live only a couple miles from this place but somehow have never seen it?? It wasn't bad- I ate my food, but it just wasn't as good as I expected it to be. I ordered the Chicken and Ranch Salad and it was iceberg lettuce with okay dressing. My friend ordered the Margarita Flatbread and said it was alright. We were starving at the time but don't think we'd choose to go here for dinner again. That being said, it definitely has the pub vibe and would be better for drinks later in the evening probably. The main selling point is the great, open-air location. The place opens up onto Old Meridian in the building connected to Yats and Stacked Pickle. The whole front half is open to the outside and there's a great patio with a lot of seating. read more

Nice atmosphere & a good place spend a leisurely evening. We've never really had any problem with service but we go to The Brockway to relax & have a good conversation; not to grab a quick bite & rush off. When a band's playing it's difficult to hear but we usually go mid-week. The Dublin Crisps & Garbage Fries are pretty good appetizers. Their fish & chips are quite good & so are a few of the burgers (I like the Double Bogey). I'm more partial to lighter beers with a slightly fruity taste & they have a great pear beer which fits the bill, There is not a ton of seating which establishes it as a pub & not a bar (like BWWs). It's colder near door & window areas so bring a jacket or sweater in cooler weather. read more

My favorite bar/pub in Indy. Outstanding overseas beer and whiskey menu and the mug freezing technique is a show in itself. The bartenders pour the best Black & Tan's in town. Try the fish sandwich or fish and chips. Chips are homemade and perfect. A fun bunch of people work there and the patrons are the same. It was THE place to watch the World Cup. Cozy, authentic British pub atmosphere. Best of all, it's a non-smoking environment. This British pub knows how to do it right. p.s. local ownership...not a chain. read more

I have been coming here since their first year of opening and i still love everything about it. Booze: I'll start by saying that it has won best pint by Guinness in Indy for the past 4 years and trust me you cant find a better one anywhere in town. To top that off their chilling system for their beers is impeccable. You get the perfect temperature on every beer, its amazing. Recently they have expanded their beer selections to microbrews and have even been working on their own "Danny Boy", which is excellent. To top off the amazing beer they have one of the finest selections of Irish Whiskey, Scotch and Bourbon in the city with by far the most reasonable prices. Food: The food is also a must try here. They have been voted best fish and chips in the city (a very true statement) and have a wide range of selections on the menu. I recommend the original chicken sandwich (grilled chicken sandwich covered in a sweet bbq sauce with cheddar cheeses and bacon on top), the burger and they do also have the BEST PUB CHIPS IN INDY. Events: The Brockway have bands ranging from nationally renown artists to a local group of friends that play irish fold music once a week. They have tastings for multiple Irish Whiskey makers and once a year celebrate the Guinness award (that they always get). Also "of corse" at an Irish pub, they have an OUTSTANDING party for St. Patricks Day. This includes great live music, awesome volunteering and participation from most all the surrounding fire houses. There is a pumper pull competition, KEG toss competition and all around fun times all day long. It is a must stop for any St. Patricks Day party goer. Service: Awesome!! Unlike most pubs one great thing about Brockway is that you can sit wherever you want and go where ever you want. If you start at the bar, and then some friends show up and you want to move to a table, no problem. All the servers and bar tenders share the same tips so they work together as a team. If it gets busy and staff is light just run up to the bar and place your order (thats how its done in Ireland). You will always be greeted with a "welcome to the Brockway, sit where ever you like" when entering the establishment. All in all if you don't know The Brockway Pub, give it a shot you'll come back! read more

We've been here 2-3x and it's always been a bad experience. We only went because we lived in the apartments nextdoor. I gave 2 stars because the food was fine, not great and not terrible. Each experience has been bad though due to service and environment. In our most recent visit, the staff was rude and customers were fighting. I ordered a pint (no food) and my glass was cracked from rim to base. It was moments away from shattering. We brought the full beer back to the bar and asked for a new one...they proceeded to pour the beer from the broken class into a new glass. We said can we please get a new beer, there could be glass in it. They refused so we left. Won't be back. read more

Bad service. Bad food. Won't return, not worth the price or time that it took to get the food/drinks.

Brockway should get 5 stars because it's stayed open and in that shopping plaza, that's a feat all to itself. My reason for the star docks is that they don't make their own corned beef (according to their staff). It's hard for me to get down on an Irish Pub that doesn't make their own corned beef. With that being said, I've had their Irish egg rolls which have corned beef, kraut and thousand island and it's delicious. The fish and chips is the winner on the menu. I strayed once and wasn't thrilled so I now stick to F&C. If you want to get naughty, you can upgrade your chips to have accoutrements, if you will. Yes, they pour a great beer but I am not a beer drinker so I come to eat. read more

Brockway is outstanding! I can walk from my apartment and it is usually bumping some sort of fun atmosphere. The food is excellent, staff is friendly, AND they have my favorite cider... on tap, Strongbow! My husband and I have attended their St. Patty's day celebrations in the past, love them! They have great cover bands, including our favorite My Yellow Rickshaw. This pub is hard to beat and we haven't tried yet :) read more

9/6/22 was the first time I had visited this pub. My boyfriend and I were in Carmel for med reasons. I had seen reviews for the place and decided to eat there. We had the pickle chips as an appetizer. Definitely enough for 2-4 people. We also had the Broadway chicken sandwich with our side being steak fries. This we shared. Very good and plenty for 2. My only complaint about the whole experience was the "Irish Margarita". It needed the glass rimmed with sugar/salt and a bit more whiskey. Wasn't impressed. Our waitress, Kaylyn, was very nice and attentive. read more

Just left this place. The service sucks. You can tell it starts with bad management and trickles down. It took forever for someone to come to our table, get drinks, food. The place was dead. I love places where they go the extra step to make things happen for customers, especially on a busy night. I wanted them to do something special for a birthday since I was not there.
