I've been wanting to check this place out on one of my Indy trips for a while! Our friends' band had a gig here, so we came out for an over night the weekend of my birthday for a party! The overall atmosphere of the place is great! There isn't a stage of bands, but the corner of the bar isn't completely terrible for them to use. We started out with the Mozzarella Cakes... This was a nice change to the normal sticks. The outside breading was great and crispy! Nicely seasoned as well! There is a lot more cheese in a cake rather than a stick! There were 3 cakes in an order. The boy ordered the Brockway Burger... He loved the cheddar and BACON! He's a huge burger fan and this one did not disappoint. It came with steak fries which he enjoyed as well. I had the Shepherd's Pie... Though it was a little salty it was very good! This could have been from the cheesy goodness and just adding salt to the dish. Keep the cheese add a lot less salt. It was a great dish other than that. We had some issues with the servers getting our drink orders correct. It was unfortunate that when we told the bartenders and management we were only given a drink to fix it. They may have some work to do with the staff to get up to par. read more

A hole in a wall kind of place in a very non-descriptive part of Carmel. There's a lot of regulars and the drinks are pretty darn huge and priced oh-so-right (compared to what I'm used to back in LA). They have a very interesting menu selection and even the menu and how's it's printed is interesting. You have to come visit on Friday nights for great local bands. Overall, great pub..laid back ambiance. read more

Brockway Pub - Scotch eggs - Pubs Near Me - Carmel, Indiana

I love this place!!! I am constantly there! They have great food and awesome beer selections!! They are associated with Danny Boy Brewing, which is awesome!! They offer live music, trivia nights and their St Patty's Day tent is always a great time!! Their fish and chips are amazing, especially the dill sauce!! This place is a great place to hang with friends cuz it's not too loud and crazy. Great place to watch a game. I've never had a problem the the service!! I totally recommend this place to anyone!! See you there, cuz I'm always there!! read more

I'm only giving this two stars instead of one because I had a great time here with the people I went with, and everyone else liked their food more than I did. This is traditional pub food, but they could do better with their options for vegetarians and non-beer drinkers. The grilled cheese was the most pathetic one I've had in my life, with fake american cheese and boring bread. When I asked for their wine list, the waitress brought me a bit of receipt paper with 3 wines handwritten on it. I don't plan on going back - I'm not the demographic they're going for. read more

I'm really in between a 3 and a 4 stars on Brockway. Brockway has great beer on tap including some local breweries. The fish and chips area really good and the burgers are great. I have never had bad food at Brockway. The menu is a bit limited, but I think that is ok. It has what you would expect from a pub. On busy nights Brockway is incredibly loud, like hard to have a conversation loud. I'm not knocking it for that, more just letting you know. I guess though that what really brings the rating down to a 3 rather than a 4 is that the service is really spotty. While the servers have always been pleasant and never rude, sometimes they are incredibly slow. I can understand that when it is really busy, but I actually think I have had better service when it is really busy, than during slower times. I was surprised at how long it took someone to come take our orders on a slow Sunday evening. read more

Had a such a great time here on Friday we came back on Saturday night! Irish pub vibe but incredibly friendly bartenders who took great care of us - even remembered our drink orders the next night! Wouldn't hesitate to come back the next time we are in town! read more

Awesome open windows in the fall. Good beer and knowledgable bartenders. read more

Scotch was a fair price for the selection. Reuben sandwich was poor. A few paper thin Cheap deli "corned beef" on rye for $12, really! Atmosphere was good, you'll get a better Reuben at Arby's 2 for 6$. read more

Great food the Scottish eggs and fish and chips were awesome. The service was slow the waitress didn't know much about the food. The menu was outdated they no longer serve chicken salad although it's still on the menu. read more

See all

Fun, casual atmosphere for married-couple's date night. The food wasn't super, but it wasn't horrible. It's the perfect spot for us to walk to, have drinks, listen to a band, maybe order an app and waddle home. Our server was really, really new... it was painful to watch... I wanted to get up and help him. Regardless, the place has a great vibe and we enjoyed the evening at Brockway. read more

I've been to the Brockway a couple of times now, and each time has been all right. The food's all right. I had a grilled cheese sandwich, which came with pretty good steak fries. My sandwich was sort of warm, but not hot. The beer selection is good and it's nice that they offer half pints. Our server didn't get a couple of things right (wrong drinks for three people, wrong food for one of those three people), but mine came out fine. Overall, I'd say that it's not my favorite place, but it's a place I don't mind going. read more

Could be better. This is the classic irish pub. I went with my boyfriend. I think we both enjoyed our food. I got the buffalo chicken sandwich. It was a good sized, plump, piece of chicken cooked perfectly with a perfect breading on it with just the right amount of crunch. I did not get that greasy feeling after eating it. The french fries were pretty delicious too! My boyfriend really liked the beef stew. When reading reviews, I was excited about the Danny Boys Brewing and trying that, but was disappointed to find that they were not many options. Even with the other taps, there isn't much variety other than IPAs and Brown Ales. The biggest reason for the poor review is the atmosphere and service. This was 7 PM on a Saturday night. There weren't many diners, which is fine, but we walked in the find a lot of workers standing in a group talking. Also fine, but would have been nice to be acknowledged. Upon walking in, I didn't feel well invited. We found our table and sat down. The hallway smelt like STRONG cigarette smoke and marijuana. Not hacking on people who do that, but keep it out of smelling up your restaurant. Our waitress was nice, but kept forgetting our waters and forgot about my boyfriends stew (he ordered stew and a wrap). I would eat here again if it was someone else insisting, but I am not going to suggest this place again. read more

Pretty traditional venue and good beer options. Fish chips was great. I just wish they had more seating and that the seating was better organized within the space. read more

Order a Fish and Chips with a Black and Tan (Guinnes and Harp). No one does that combination better this side of the pond. If you can swing by on one of their bike nights you will be in for a visual treat. Not a lot of Harley posers; you'll see a lot of serious cafe racer types just enjoying the evening. Its a great spot to hang out. read more

We chose this restaurant because of the large amount of outdoor seating available. It was a perfect day to sit outside and enjoy a couple of cold beers and lunch. The beers came out in a pretty timely fashion, unfortunately our lunch took much longer. My son liked his grilled chicken sandwich - except there was cheese melted all over it and he had asked for no cheese. Stepdad's Reuben was great he really enjoyed it. The chicken wings (app) were huge and they looked really nice, my daughter loved them. Salad. Don't order a salad at this place. My Cobb salad had no bleu cheese on it, the bacon was minimal - it was basically lettuce and croutons. My mom had the Irish salad. It was also missing items that were supposed to be on it (according to the menu). If the chicken sandwich had come as ordered and our salads were a little more generous (with the correct toppings to boot) I would've given this place three stars. I think the only reason we would go back is to try the fish and chips because my husband is British. read more

Literally the worst food. Every eating experience has been incredibly inconsistent. Usually the food quality is between average to downright bad. The only redeeming quality is that if you win trivia, you can spend your gift card money on a night of drinking in this *slightly* cozy atmosphere (cozy in the way you'd expect a typical Irish pub to be). Sadly, there's 1 decent bartender in the place. Skip ordering anything from Danny Boy (including the Buddha Vodka) and your drinking experience will be average. read more

Salmon BLT for me, fish and chips for my wife. Fantastic. Flight of Danny Boy beers, outstanding. Delicious Irish coffee to finish.

Wide selection of beers on tap and generous pours on flights make this a excellent stop to grab a pint with your friends. Live music on Tuesdays is a fun early-week break from the same old weeknight routine. A sports jersey or t-shirt are not out of place here if you want a casual place to hang out. read more

Good food. Great Beer. COLD beer. I recommend the Chicken Sandwich, but the fish and chips are good too. I don't know if all the different beers are good, I don't get past the IPAs or Guiness which is very good. read more

Food was good, not great. Great beer options, and bands on Friday night is never a bad thing

Nice little pub! The beer was cold and the appetizers were great! Enjoyed our visit very much!!

Good food, drinks, atmosphere, & staff. Close to home for me, but if you're not, watch out for the Carmel cops. Worth making this a regular stop if you live close or, if you don't, worth the drive for an early evening stop. Locally owned and not part of any chain makes the Brockway even better. read more

This is a great place, period. When you walk into this pub, the first thing you will notice is the atmosphere. Dark wood, pool table, darts, and TVs all over the place. I love my beer, so when i was told that i would get the best Guinness pint in the city, i was a bit skeptical. Before I could think on this any longer, the friendly bar tender had my pint ready. WOW! This had to be one of the coldest beers i have ever had. Impressed, I decided to try one of the items on the menu. I ordered the sampler platter and everything was cooked to perfection. I have to say after enjoying another frosty pint of Guinness, I will be back for sure with friends. read more

We took a group of 8 kids, and 6 adults to the Brockway Public House yesterday after soccer games all day. We had the best waitress in America. All of the adults with us agreed. The orders were all correct, the food came out with no issues and she didn't even have to ask whose food was what. She made sure everyone had everything they needed. Not overbearing or hovering, she was friendly, polite and gave us a great experience. I'd bring my family back here anytime just for the service! Oh, and the food was fantastic too. So were the beers. But the service was truly the icing on the cake! Thank you whomever the girl was who was our waitress. Next time we're in the area well definitely be back! read more

I've been to this place in Carmel a few times, usually with my buddies for lunch. The place never disappoints. They have a great beer selection, and their food is wonderful. On my latest visit I tried their chili for the first time. I'm not kidding, some of the best chili I have ever had, and I've eaten a lot of chili in my 49 years. Huge chunks of meat and cooked in jalapeños - great flavor. If you're in Carmel and want to grab great lunch with some good beer, you can't go wrong here. read more

We have visited several times but unfortunately our last visit was less desirable. The restaurant was understaffed and we suffered for it. The food took a ridiculously long time to come out and was served warm instead of hot. Forget about getting drinks refilled or an additional pint. The table beside ours left after being seated for over 40 minutes without anyone taking their order. I had to chase down our server to get our check to settle out. It was very disappointing because we love their fish and chips and Irish stew and it is the only place you can get Guinness served at the proper temp in Indy. We will try again and I hope to improve my rating then, I'm just sorry I didn't review them previously when we did get excellent service. read more

Amazing!!! Some of the best staff I have ever encountered. The food was perfect. The group I was with never had an empty glass; they were on top of everything. The best part was the live entertainment and that the staff were wearing kilt. You will not find a better beer on draft or a better scotch/whiskey selection. read more

Friends had their pre-wedding welcoming party here last Friday and what a great time we all had. The staff made sure our glasses were never empty and appetites were great as well (fish sliders...YUMMY). The outdoor seating was great since it was a warm night. I had the ultimate ny-er moment when I bought a round of drinks and it was only $24, I was like that's it...a friend had to remind me...Hi...we are in Indiana...I was like yeah...duh! read more

The "snakebite" cocktail is amazing (is that the right name?). Triple Sec, Tequila, and Steigl make for a delicious take on summer beer. The place is breezy and has free wifi which makes it a win in my books. read more

Less than mediocre food and horrible service! Very disappointing because I live so close.....

Pretty terrible pub house. Save your money or take the drive to 9 Irish brothers downtown. Food was cold, service was terrible and portions are laughable for the price. read more

I'm proud to be a regular at this neighborhood bar. They have the absolute best bartenders in town! They get to know you without being overly attentive and remember your order every time. They keep their drafts rotating and offer great daily specials. They're open late and never make you feel rushed to leave. It's never too crowded and has a fun and chill atmosphere. I bring people here every chance that I get. 10/10 would recommend!! read more

Probably my favorite place to eat in Carmel. If you're looking for a low key bar, good food, and waitstaff that doesn't bug you much this will be the place for you. The Brockway chicken sandwich is something I crave on the regular! read more

Cute place! We got into town late on a Tuesday night and came here for some late-night snacks and dinner. My husband comes here frequently and had told me about it. Good beers and good food. Hummus was fresh and I had a salad for dinner, which was also super fresh and good. Pretty standard stuff, but it was done well! read more

Not sure why anyone still goes here really. Maybe it's an Irish thing? Go to the 'Stacked Pickle' instead. Last time we were here, 'only' because we met friends, the service was terrible as always. Took forever to get waited on and then would never return to ck in. At one point my friend wanted to order food, and the server told him he was too busy at the moment and never returned after that! Seriously! And they weren't even that busy. Trust me we'll never return. Not sure how they stay in business... read more

Great beer, excellent pour. Fish and chips are fantastic.

Walked in, sat at the bar for 10 minutes without anybody saying as much as hello. Place wasn't even 20% full. Won't be back.

We've been here a few times and usually it's ok...but last time we went in, there were definitely some issues. They didn't have a beer that we ordered, then didn't have some menu item we ordered, after that--they had no forks. The place was probably at 50% capacity. The server never offered an apology--or even a spoon. She couldn't have cared less and seemed annoyed to be there. I get that it's not her fault the restaurant is missing items on their menu and can't control the fork washing, but a pleasant smile and apology would have been gracious. read more

Awful!!! We showed up and finally found 4 seats at a small shared table. There was quite a delay for the waiter to even acknowledge us, longer to take our drink order, and we waited so long after that we ended up leaving before they ever came. They were out of hamburgers, which is one of the few main course options. Police cars showed up as we were leaving. read more
