I love whenever I get the chance to come to Brock's Gap. It's certainly one of my faves! I really appreciate their beers options because they really have some yummy ones. Don't worry . Stopped by Brock's Gap Brewing Company on a Friday late afternoon for a casual date, and it was the perfect vibe. The atmosphere was relaxed but still had a nice energy. We each had a beer and also shared a flight. I wanted more beer options but I was pleased with the options. The staff was friendly and helpful when it came to recommendations, which made the experience even better. I love that dogs were welcome. It's a great spot if you're looking for a laid-back date idea or just want to unwind after a long week. I'll definitely be back to explore more of their lineup! read more

Brock's Gap is a great place to just unwind for the night. They have beer on tap as well as liquor choices (some high end for a brewery). They have an outdoor and indoor area but if the weather is right the outdoor area with stage is very nice. Bartenders are great and know their drinks. read more

This is a great brewery near the Hoover Met. They have a nice inside area with lots of seating plus two outside seating areas. The front outside area is large with plenty of tables, a large screen TV and a stage for life music plus corn hole boards. There is also a back smaller seating area that is a lot more private with a nice view of trees. The day we went there were two food trucks. One I think is permanent and the other was visiting. I tried the pizza and it was delicious. My favorite was their pepperoni with bell peppers. The beer is good. The day we went they had a nice English porter. I'm glad they had something besides IPAs and sours. read more

Food and drink was the issue. Was there last night for outdoor event. I could only get one beer as outside there was ONE person serving. Line was 20 persons long, same situation inside with long line. The chicken wings we ordered were so SALTY I couldn't eat more than one. If they want to make money on drinks lines can't be that long. This was a fun place for us to stop at before we went to wine fest. They had games, beer, wine, and pizza. I only played games and enjoyed wine but I would definitely return for the pizza. I pass by this business all the time, but earlier this week was the first time I actually stopped by. I was there with my Leadership Hoover class and I enjoyed hearing about the history surrounding the brewery and the process of how they brew their beer. It's really nice on the inside so I can definitely see people enjoying a game while having a beer and some food. I am going to have to come back with my husband at some point so we can get the full experience. I definitely enjoyed my visit and I had a sample of one of their beers. Drinks and service were great but do not eat here. Food truck was gross. Tried pizza (cardboard, no flavor), pretzel with beer cheese (hardened yellow doggy doo doo), and chicken fingers and fries which were a total rip off ($14 for 3 fingers and salt less Sysco fries). Great atmosphere, and plenty on tap! We have come here a couple of times now.. most times they do have Angry Orchard on tap, which is really the only draft we drink. The staff is friendly and prompt getting your order. They do have food, you order inside for the food truck, they give you a pager for that. Beers are not good but the atmosphere is great and tons of room for kids to run around. They don't brew on site, they buy the malt premade and you can taste the difference. It's a great space with lots of room! They have ample inside space and tvs for a great night out for a game. They have a lot of outdoor space! Also, have an outdoor stage which they have bands come too! They also have ample parking and it's easy to get into and out of! They stay open for events at the Hoover Met! They do a great job of getting solid food trucks in for the whole family to enjoy! Kid and dog friendly too. They have a lot of beers on tap and none beer options, so their is something for everyone. The beer is best summed up as they are okay at a lot of things but not good or great at at a lot. Hopefully, it will improve. Staff are friendly and nice! Great beers. I like the Marriage Counselor... a Belgian tripel. We have been here about three times and each was great. They have a stage and live band. They have two great food trucks tonight. Plenty of room outside for kids to play. Lots of games like corn hole , etc. Tonight we have a BBQ truck and a truck named 'The Recipe'. I had sliders and fried green tomatoes. My wife tried the Turkey Leg. It's huge. I will toss in a picture of that. Definitely will be back. OMG, The acoustics inside the brewery are terrible. I appreciate live music, but the acoustics are so loud and hollow that I can't hear myself think much less enjoy the music. And to make matters worst they also are having trivia night on this visit. I can't understand a word the dude is saying. Seems like a sound engineer could recommend some absorption material for the walls and ceiling. Something to stop the sound from echoing offs the walls. I feel like I've been trapped inside a metal trash can and someone was beating on it for the past hour. I'm sure to have a migraine after this visit. The beer is okay, as in mostly drinkable. We ordered 8 total beers on flights so were able to sample just about everything. The interior of the bar has all hard services, and the sound/reverb it pretty bad. It is uncomfortable, auditorily, to be in this place. This is the main reason we won't be back. They do have outdoor seating, and a wide variety of social functions, but they really need to do something to absorb some of the noise in the main bar. read more

This brewery just opened and it's pretty darn cool! It was super busy when we went. So many people wanted to check it out. They have a huge outdoor area with games for adults and kids alike. So many kids were there playing and having fun. It reminded me of an outdoor festival. Lots of picnic tables and there were two food trucks when we were there. One for food and one for cupcakes and milkshakes. The building itself is brand new and really nice inside. Plenty of tables and covered outdoor seating on the patio. We sat here to enjoy the nice day but also to be a little shaded. They have 10 different beers to try. You can get a glass, a flight, or even a growler. We got two flights so we got to try eight of the beers. I am not a beer drinker at all but tried them. I didn't hate any of the ones I tried and I actually liked the sugar cat! If I come back, I will probably get a glass of that. Maybe they will turn me into a beer drinker yet! Super cool brewery with a small gift shop. I went to Brock's Gap Brewery after a Hoover football game and the beer was really good, but outside had a strange kids playground vibe to it. I kept expecting there to be a swing set and a jungle gym somewhere on the property. It felt weird drinking beer around 2 and 3 year olds playing Connect Four at a brewery. The kids were also playing with the outside bar taps and I didn't see any beer come out of them luckily. Inside was very clean, but echoes travel far inside. I was torn between their mango sour and their Berliner beer. I asked the bartender what he recommended and he said they could mix the two beers and it tasted excellent! Wow, this brewery is impressive. From a wonderful outdoor area (they did have patio heaters running when we were there) to the amazing interior of the building. Family friendly and pet friendly (outside for pets) environment included a large outdoor area with the standard games and toys to use like corn hole and connect four. The facility is amazing and they have a large selection of beer. There's something for everyone here. We had a great time and definitely look forward to returning! Thank goodness. After having moved to hoover for 3 years now, its about time a brewery opened up in town. Helps me avoid the pain of going through the traffic to downtown Bham. Great location, loved the food trucks that are usually there. Now that the weather nice and warm, no better way to spend it than outside in the sun, playing corn hole, drinking cold beers, snaking on AL peanut Co, chowing on buttery garlic corn from Husks and more. Not to mention its dog friendly too. Definitely will be here plenty this summer. Hope to see more dark beers on the menu ;) Though light ones are ok too with the hot weather and all. :P read more

Really great venue that popped up on my radar recently from people that live nearby. When they told us it is next to the Hoover met, I thought it might be close. But no. It is literally right next to the Hoover met. Great outdoor setup with some private inside dining option. On this particular day, the outdoor bar was not open. But I could see that being convenient. As you might think for Hoover, it is extremely kid friendly. They have a ton of games for them to play while they are there. Cornhole, football, frisbee and connect four kept my kid occupied. Plenty of TVs for sporting events and a great selection of beer. What is not to like about this place? Great addition out in Hoover. Five stars all they way. read more

We were staying at the RV park and walked to the brewery. It is really nice inside and on other days we saw a lot of people playing corn hole and hanging out in the bar area outside. They typically have food trucks but not on this Tuesday-- and we sat inside as it was a little windy. Austin was our bartender and was super gracious and great to talk to! We learned about the beers and tried several before having a few pints of our favorites. We had pizza delivered and watched the ALDS and talked to a few other patrons who really enjoyed the beer also. First time here. Good experience. Good beer, huge facility with high ceilings, outdoor area, super family friendly, food trucks, upstairs seating as well. I went shortly after they opened. I sampled all their beers and did not taste one that I liked. Disappointing because it is close to my house, and I thought it would be a good place to go. It sits on a rather large parcel of property, but the parking can be tricky. The place gets busy. It is a large space...inside seating and outside seating. It is kid friendly and has games for kids and adults. They have food trucks, so the food selection is always good. That Sugar Cat is a special brew and I love it... Brock's Gap Brewery is impressive, a state-of-the-art brewery. Whoever dreamed it up was meticulous about every detail.
