Pepperoni pizza with onions and parppers.

This is a great brewery near the Hoover Met. They have a nice inside area with lots of seating plus two outside seating areas. The front outside area is large with plenty of tables, a large screen TV and a stage for life music plus corn hole boards. There is also a back smaller seating area that is a lot more private with a nice view of trees. The day we went there were two food trucks. One I think is permanent and the other was visiting. I tried the pizza and it was delicious. My favorite was their pepperoni with bell peppers. The beer is good. The day we went they had a nice English porter. I'm glad they had something besides IPAs and sours.

We really wanted to like the beer here but it was just alright. They serve cocktails as well. Bartenders were all very nice. Great for large groups or families inside and outside. They have their food truck and then it seemed like they bring in other trucks as well. We tried multiple beers ended w light lager and the amber.

This was a fun place for us to stop at before we went to wine fest. They had games, beer, wine, and pizza. I only played games and enjoyed wine but I would definitely return for the pizza. There was a band playing outside as well. There was seating inside and out. The guys behind the bar were able to help me decide what wine I wanted to try.

I pass by this business all the time, but earlier this week was the first time I actually stopped by. I was there with my Leadership Hoover class and I enjoyed hearing about the history surrounding the brewery and the process of how they brew their beer. It's really nice on the inside so I can definitely see people enjoying a game while having a beer and some food. I am going to have to come back with my husband at some point so we can get the full experience. I definitely enjoyed my visit and I had a sample of one of their beers. It was pretty good and I'm not a beer person. Check them out!

First visit to Brock's Gap Brewing, and we enjoyed it! They have a great outdoor space, with a stage and grassy area. We tried a few different beers, and they were good. They offer several on draft that are not locally brewed as well, so make sure to look for the ones brewed by BGB.

Trivia night! Friendly atmosphere- Many families and friend groups gathered. Service at the brewery - satisfactory. Bartenders provided detailed descriptions of drinks and made effort to determine drinks suitable to my palate. No food sold at brewery but had food truck -Gumbo to Geaux- on-site.

Great beers. I like the Marriage Counselor... a Belgian tripel. We have been here about three times and each was great. They have a stage and live band. They have two great food trucks tonight. Plenty of room outside for kids to play. Lots of games like corn hole , etc. Tonight we have a BBQ truck and a truck named 'The Recipe'. I had sliders and fried green tomatoes. My wife tried the Turkey Leg. It's huge. I will toss in a picture of that. Definitely will be back. That's my overarching test... is it good enough to spend my hard earned and inflation emasculated dollars on? I vote YES.

Brocks Gap is an awesome venue with great beer and a friendly staff. The peach sour is the bomb.

OMG, The acoustics inside the brewery are terrible. I appreciate live music, but the acoustics are so loud and hollow that I can't hear myself think much less enjoy the music. And to make matters worst they also are having trivia night on this visit. I can't understand a word the dude is saying. Seems like a sound engineer could recommend some absorption material for the walls and ceiling. Something to stop the sound from echoing offs the walls. I feel like I've been trapped inside a metal trash can and someone was beating on it for the past hour. I'm sure to have a migraine after this visit. Outside would have been fantastic, but it was pouring down rain.

I ordered their IPA but was brought out something else. This was quickly resolved. I enjoyed the IPA. There was a private party in the upstairs portion. This seems like a decent spot to have a small gathering. By adding food to the menu this is indeed a PLUS. Staff was cool. My server was new.

Walked in around 8:30pm last night, it was packed and everyone looked like they were having a great time! Apparently Monday nights are Bingo nights and, of course, we joined in on the fun. Everyone was super friendly and playing Bingo was pretty exciting actually lol. Besides the wide variety of beers available, they also have a menu with a good selection of food items that are reasonably priced. Surprisingly, the place is family friendly and kids would definitely love their root beer. I saw an adorable little girl going around helping people by collecting used Bingo sheets. She deserved a tip, haha. Oak Mountain Brewing Company is pretty spacious and would work well for events or work functions. I was too busy playing Bingo last night to check out their upstairs spacing, but it seems like a good area for private parties or just for people watching. I will have to check it out next time!

Love Back Forty, along with the rest of Birmingham. There's always so much going on here,…read moreespecially when the weather is good. Tons of kids and dogs outside. People often host their own little parties and events at the picnic tables here. I came on a Sunday afternoon, and it seemed like a lot of families came for lunch and to hang out after church. The food here is certainly impressive food for a bar to me. I love the wood fired pizzas. I will say, I think the size is a bit awkward. They're a little too big to be a single serving, and a little too small to be for two people. The beer is all good. Service at the bar always friendly. The fries here are some of my favorite in town. Shoestring.

They've got a huge selection of beers and a full dinner menu, so there's something for just about everyone. Whether you're coming for drinks or planning to eat, you won't feel limited. Parking is plentiful, which is always a win in Birmingham, and there's plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. It works well for small groups or larger parties. One thing to know going in: this isn't really a full-service setup. You order and pick up your own food, and aside from someone occasionally clearing empty pint glasses, there's not much table service. We actually didn't receive utensils with our food and had to go back up to the counter to grab some. Not a huge deal, just something to be aware of. I ordered the catfish sandwich with fries. The sandwich itself was delicious -- crispy, flavorful, and satisfying. My only small gripe was that it came in a to-go box. I understand it probably makes cleanup easier for them, but it does take away a bit from the dine-in experience. The fries were shoestring style, which just aren't my personal favorite. They're fine, but I always feel like I need about three handfuls to feel satisfied. We went on a Saturday night and the brewery was packed -- and I mean packed. It was very loud and definitely more of a party atmosphere than a relaxing dinner vibe. If you're looking for a quiet night out, this probably isn't it. But if you want energy, beer, sports on TV, and a fun crowd, this place delivers. Overall, it's a great hangout spot to catch a game, grab a drink, and enjoy good food -- just expect a lively, high-energy scene.

This isn't just a brewery but it's an event space for things like young professional meetups, drag shows, puzzle nights and trivia, fun runs etc... It can be hard to decide where you want to sit after coming in as you go through the laid back patio (although the trains are sometimes loud) or inside where you're greeted with neon lights and retro futuristic vibes. Just like the beer, there is no bad option. There are many beers to choose from, which are frequently rotating but no worries, some of the fan favorites like Dr. Robot are constantly on tap. There are beers made specifically for the Birmingham location as well. If beer isn't your thing there are Margaritas and cocktails. There's also plenty of food. The tacos aren't going to win over my Abuela's heart but they are serviceable. I typically go with the nachos though. I always hear how good the Patty Melt but every time I go to order one they are out of hamburger patties. There is almost always something going on, or some type of happy hour/deal.
