The staff did a great job of keeping the pizza, fresh and hot during the buffet. The salad bar was quite good. It was simple, but everything was a good quality. The pizza itself didn't blow me away. It was, in my opinion, not quite as good as Casey's. Decent mid-level pizza restaurant. Good for a quick lunch.

While I do consider myself a part of that subset, I prefer pizzas that use 00 flour and have crispy, aerated crusts with good bubble formation that has a slight chew to it, similar to ones fired in true brick ovens or commercial pizza ovens. For that reason, Nicky's was just okay for the price that it was. I probably wouldn't order from Nicky's again because there are so many other places like Tascio's or Northeast.

When I arrived for pick up 20 minutes later as scheduled, turns out the order didn't print so nothing was ready even though the order said it was confirmed by restaurant. Staff told me check back in 15. But at the end of 15, food still wasn't ready. 45 minutes after my scheduled pick up time, I did finally get pizza - just not the pizza we ordered. I did check the boxes before leaving the parking lot and was confused. Nothing in the stack of what I had is what we planned to order but I figured my husband changed his mind last minute and forgot to tell me. But that wasn't the case. We did make it home with the cheese sticks we ordered. Those were great. Super cheesy and chewy in a good way. Would order those again for sure! For pizza, we ended up with an array of offerings. Best I can tell, we ended up with a 1) cauliflower crust with chicken and mushrooms, 2) cheese, 3) buffalo, 4) fire cracker, 5) LJ Lou. Plus our cheese sticks. We ordered the Meat Me in the Alley, fire cracker, the Char Father, and a personal sized pepperoni and jalapeno. Only one pizza we ordered, we actually got. The pizza was really good. But dang. Maybe try eating inside instead of taking to go. We don't live in Lone Jack so just decided to eat the pizza we didn't order. We got stuff crust in one of the pizzas and it was surprisingly good. I like the crust. It's soft and chewy but still got a good charred pizza oven flavor. Ultimately leaving 3 stars. Glad we tried it. But it was pretty expensive for how wrong our order was and how dang long it took to get. The pizza is good but not the place if you have a picky family, are in a hurry, or are just down right hangry. Will absolutely update if we try again.
