    Stromboli carbonara
    Tatiana M.

Place was recommended by a local. Fresh, daily made pasta with different sauces it's the way they do it. We were a party of 7, so we were seated in the second room and had to walk thru the kitchen (that was very clean) to get to the other side. It was fun! We all ordered different dishes, I had the seafood pasta that was perfect. The Stromboli (like a ravioli but larger) was also a great choice. All the sauces (bolognese, carbonara, pesto, etc) were flavorful and fresh. We love wine but we were so thirsty that we ordered a local beer (Patagonia) and it was great, family style. I just wish we could have water offered, but other than that, You can't go wrong with anything in this menu! The best part? The price: less than half compared to other touristy places by Puerto Madero. Highly recommended!

Price, service, ambiance, bad. Won't be back. I also had a salad which was nothing but rocket and a few slices of cheese. No mix. I ordered prosecco. Thrown on my table with a wine glass. Unimpressed

Broccolino is a cute little Italian restaurant in the Centro section of the beautiful city of Buenos Aires. There is a deep feeling of family here, meaning as you sit there and watch the servers work, it becomes obvious that they have worked together for a while and help each other. They work as a unit and there is a feeling that this is not just a job for them. There is pride in their work. My first visit I was lucky enough to have a server that spoke wonderful English. He was so helpful with suggestions and conversation. I was in a simple mood, so I ordered spaghetti with Bolognese sauce. It was simple but delicious. The second time I visited, I had chicken parmesan. They served me a huge portion, which I had to take half home for later but that meant I could enjoy this meal two times! Their house red wine was actually very nice, for a lower cost wine. They offered me limoncello at the end of my meal - a nice touch that is very customary in Italy after a meal. I can easily give this restaurant 5 stars and I look forward to returning again soon.

Really a nice way to end our trip to BA. We got there at 8:00 on a Saturday night and got one of the last tables. Our waiter Andres was great and gave us perfect suggestions throughout the meal. We started with a nice Cab from a vineyard we just visited in Mendoza area. We ordered our meals of eggplant parm and chicken Milanese. Both came out about 15-20 minutes after ordering piping hot. My wife said her eggplant was the best she ever ate. My Milanese was huge and I could only eat about half of it. The restaurant is old school Italian place you would see in NYC. Wonderful dining experience.

Very good Italian food, more of the red sauce variety than anything new, but that worked just fine for me on a sleepy, drizzly weekday. Service isn't friendly, but it does the job. The ambience is photos and articles (the chef cooked for the Rolling Stones when they were in BsAs on tour in the 00s, that kind of thing) and a mural of the Roman Colosseum. The star attraction is the giant pizza/bread oven in the center of the room. They were out of the burrata, bummer, but the caprese salad was just fine. I had the Tony, housemade fusili with a nice tomato sauce and covered with cheese. A large and hearty portion. The complimentary bread basket was full, with the best option the pan con tomate slices. House wine was good.

Nice and cozy restaurant. Not overloaded with Italian decor. They start by bringing a basket of fresh baked bread. I had the Tony tagliatelle. The pasta is nicely covered with a bold pomodoro sauce, then topped with a generous amount of mozzarella and basil. Mamma mia it was delicious! The service is good and speedy.

The pizza and the freshly baked focaccia are awesome

If you are looking for authentic Italian food in Buenos Aires. This is the spot. Big portions. Great quality and service. The eggplant parmigiana is something I will miss till I go back.

Went here seeing the trip advisor reviews. This place is good interior wise, average food and service wise. I went alone for dinner, so ordered a half bottle of Malbec wine, which was good. The service was very random, the server did understand some english, but wouldn't give me olive oil and balsamic. I had to get it for myself from their serving table. When I asked him to get me water, he got the sparkling water, and changed it to still water on request, but charged me for both. The pasta was pretty good, but he portion size here is HUGE. I had skipped lunch and hence for dinner expected to finish the full serving, I could barely finish half of it! The good part is that they accept VISA card, tips only in cash. Nothing special to write home about.

I did not expect to go to an Italian place on Buenos Aires but there are a ton of Italian influences in the city so we wanted to have a go at Argentinian Italian. And we were not disappointed. We got the Calamaretti Fritos and Bruschetta Romana con Tomate Concase to start. They also have your more traditional fried calamari squid rings but do yourself a favor and get the Calamaretti instead. It's fried baby squid with a lovely white wine and, maybe a bit potent, garlic sauce. I love garlic, so this hit the spot for me but I could see it being a bit jarring for others. The Bruschetta was nice: a bit burnt on the bottom but the tomato and basil were super fresh and it had a kick to it too. Entrees: -Paparadelle with Potemkin sauce (garlic, oil, spicy tomato and broccoli). Meh, it was fine. I definitely chose the wrong pasta given how light the sauce was but at least it tasted fresh. I tried my friend's Tagliatelle with Marado (mushroom, tomato sauce, dried tomato, olives and garlic) sauce and it was much tastier. -Pechugita al Fungetto con Pure: holy heck this was good. The chicken was super tender and the creme sauce was really creamy and rich. Get this but be warned, it's huge. Lastly, the place itself was quite nice. Spacious (fit 9 of us fairly easily) and clean. And the servers were very patient with out bad Spanish and did speak some English themselves.

Carbonara pasta in Broccolino in Buenos Aires
    Henry S.

This restaurant specializes in pasta and seems to be quite authentic. Half of the menu is in English and seems to suggest that each dish is very different from other restaurants. For example, the Carbonara pasta is listed as having "a creative touch" in the menu. Unfortunately, it was a very plain Carbonara pasta dish that has no creativity at all. I wasn't too pleased with this restaurant.

The hotel recommended Amici Miei. We walked to the other end of the little plaza and located this cute little Italian restaurant on the second floor with some balconies over looking the plaza with tables. The location is spectacular. Very quaint, old school feel inside an old building. The balconies are small but hold table for 4. On a nice day like when we went (it was about 85 degrees F) was nice to look outside onto the plaza and people watch. As we ordered food, the quality of the dishes were top notch. Everything was fresh and tasted superb. The flavours were rich, not salty, not over/under cooked. All the dished that came out were nice and hot and tasted amazing. The bread served was fresh, crunchy outside, soft inside with butter and some red wine. This place if you didn't know you were sitting in Buenos Aires, you'd think you were in Italy! Service was great, very prompt and nice. As with any Argentine or foreign restaurant, you have to ask for your bill if you want to leave, otherwise they just let you be. Overall, I do believe this place is truly 5 star rating, food, quality, taste, ambiance and service. You won't be disappointed if you go here and the price point is very good for the food, amount and quality.

I arrived right when they opened at 8 and was the only one there until a few people trickled in around 8:30 or so. By the time I left at 9:15, more people were arriving. I'd expect by 10, it would be packed. Before my meal arrived, they brought out a basket of garlic bread, focaccia and breadsticks with a garbanzo bean spread. I also ordered a cold Patagonia cerveza while I waited for my main course. I had green Papardelle pasta with mushrooms, bacon and cherry tomatoes in a light olive oil type sauce. It was very enjoyable as compared to a heavy cream sauce. The only thing missing was some parmesan cheese, which was provided before my meal arrived. Unlike most every other dinner I've had in BA, I left feeling satisfied, not like I was about to burst! The service was stellar and very friendly. Definitely check this place out if you happen to be in San Telmo.

Situated in the Recoleta neighborhood, it's known for its house-made pastas. And, ultimately, yes, I was grown up enough to eat there, although, since I'm not a wine drinker, I felt I was missing out on the total experience. The decor of the restaurant is very elegant with lots of wood. We dined on the second level and were treated to an excellent view of the diners below. Being as there weren't many non-alcoholic drink options I had water. This is one area of opportunity. I would've loved to have something like a fruity cocktail to complement my dish. As an appetizer, we had the Corn Polenta with Prawns. It was an interesting dish with tender prawns and a seafood broth poured over the polenta. Very good. For my entree, I had a very rich pasta dish called Tagliatelle with Creamy Spinach and Ham. This was a delicious dish- let me tell you, the standout was the ham which was very mild and not heavily salted. That dish was a 5/5! For dessert I chose the Panna Cotta, it was a little too sweet for my liking. We also passed on the complementary Limoncello at the end. Overall, I really enjoyed our visit to Sottovoce, the main dish was spectacular, but the other elements bookending the main were a little less than spectacular. Nonetheless, I would definitely return for the Tagliatelle, but next time try a different appetizer and dessert.
